Extra chapter.
Zen's first day at Airi middle school.

Morning;
Zen's getting ready.
Zen walks out of his room. Mihu is setting the table.

Zen: Good morning Mi-chan.
Mihu: Good morning. Did you sleep well?
Zen: not actually.
Mihu: too excited?
Zen: Yeah.

Mihu: I wasn't able to sleep too.

Zen: Huh? But why?
Mihu: Because I was too happy for you.
Zen: Thanks Mi-chan.

Then they have breakfast. After that they both get their stuff and get ready to leave. Both schools are in opposite directions.

Mihu gives Zen a hug.

Mihu: Okay now don't get too nervous. Show pride. Make loads of friends and yeah, I was serious about the girl friend part. Other than that, you are famous so you might be followed by girls. Do not become a play boy. Please be nice to others and don't show off. And .....

Zen: I get it,get it , get it! Stop acting like a mom.

Mihu: I'm worried you silly.

Zen: don't be. I'll be just fine.

Mihu: I hope so....
Zen: I'll take care, I promise.

Mihu nods.

Mihu: Zen,.....
Her face turns serious.
Zen: yes?
Mihu: The attacks have been more frequent. Be careful.
Zen: I will but I think they'll target you.
Mihu: No one can tell. After all you are a Wistalia too. Your life is more important so please be careful. 

Zen: Of course. *Smirk*

Mihu: Okay now hurry up or you'll be late.
Zen: Yeah, bye Mi-chan.
Mihu: Bye.
And they both leave for their schools.

Mihu reaches the school gate and there, she meets Hiro.

Mihu: Good morning.

Hiro: Hm. (Concentrating on his book)

Mihu: Today is his first day. *Sigh*

Hiro: I'm sure he'll be fine or at least way better than you.

Mihu: Hey! What's wrong with me?!

Hiro: Besides your unnecessary nervousness? 

Mihu: Hump! *Pouting*

Hiro: I heard the attacks have increased. Aren't you their target?

Mihu:   I am. But I'll be fine! I'm strong! I can do it on my own.

Hiro: Strong? Not when you train with me.

Mihu: I'm trying okay? I'm a fragile girl! 

By now they have already walked into the school and are in an empty corridor because all the students are in their classes as the bell already rang.

Hiro forcefully pins Mihu to the wall and brings his face close to her's. 

Hiro whispers: Exactly.... You are just a fragile girl. Try depending on people. You can't handle all the burden by yourself ........

Mihu: Shut up and move away from me!!

Hiro does so immediately.

Mihu: You know nothing! I can do it! If you can't encourage then don't discourage too. Your words mean nothing! I don't need anyone. People depend on  ME!!

Saying this, she dashes away.

..............

At the same time, Zen reaches his school. He enters the gates and the first thing that happens is........ That he bumps into a girl. -_-

Girl: I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking!

Zen: No! It's my fault. I was just spacing out. I am really sorry.

The girl looks at him then runs away.

Zen: H..Hey! 

Zen's thoughts: Why would she run away? Am I that weird? and where was I supposed to go again?

Zen calls out to the girl.

She turns immediately, looking at the ground.

Girl: Y..yes?

Zen: Umm.. I kinda don't know the way to principal's office. Can you help me?

Girl: O..Okay... follow me.

Zen: Thanks.

Zen hurriedly jogs beside her.

After a little while of silence, Zen speaks up.

Zen: I'm Zen Wistalia by the way.

Girl: S..Sakura....Haruma...

Zen: Haruma? So you are from a Healer family.

Sakura: Y..yes...... Here.

Zen: Huh?

Sakura: We are here.

Zen: Oh!

Sakura: Good bye!

Saying that, she runs away as fast as possible.

Zen:Hey! I just wanna..

But she's already gone.

Zen: say Thanks.....

After that he knocks on the door in front of him and after hearing a come in, he goes inside.

(Time skip)

Zen enters in his class. The teacher introduces him. He can clearly hear girls squealing and whispers in the room.

Just then, he spots Sakura sitting in the second last row.

(THIS IS WHAT THE CLASS LOOKS LIKE)

Teacher: Zen, would you like to say something?

Zen: Sure. Hi, everyone. I'm Zen and this is my first time in a class as a student so I'm a bit nervous but happy too. I hope to make many friends and spend a good time with you all.

Teacher: Of course. Now go and take a seat. You may sit where ever you like.

Zen climbs up the stairs, passing by girls. Each one of them wishing he'd pick the seat beside her. 

Zen stops by the second last row and sits there. Sakura ignores and continues writing in her book.

Just then Zen notices all the girls glaring at her.

Zen's thoughts: What's with them? And why did I pick this seat anyways? I should have asked first.

Zen:I hope you don't mind if I sit here.

Sakura: N..No, it's okay..

Zen: Great.

(Time skip)

During lunch break, before zen could say a word to Sakura, he's surrounded by girls. Sakura looks at him and then leaves the room.

He escapes the crowd and follows her. Finally he catches up to her.

Sakura: (SIGH) Why are you following me?

Zen: Eh? I'm not following you.

Sakura: Y..you are....

Zen: Well... sorry about that. It's my first time in a school and you are the first person I talked to so I feel comfortable around you.

Sakura: I'm glad you like my company, but there's always a reason behind stuff. The reason for me always being alone is that people hate me. So please, stay away from me!

Saying this, she walks away but Zen doesn't follow or stop her.

Zen's thoughts: Why? Why would someone hate HER? She is beautiful and smart. She is always kind to others too. What happened? I know I shouldn't meddle in other people's affairs but..... She's different. I want her to be my friend. I want her to have a friend...... I can't just leave her alone......

The lunch break ends and they return to their class.

Even though those two were sitting together, they didn't say a word or even looked at each other . 

The school ends and Zen returns home.

Zen reaches his house and knocks at the door. Mihu opens it.

Mihu: You're home! (Letting him in and closing the door behind)

Zen: Hi, Mi-chan. (Dull voice)

Zen hands her his bag and takes off his shoes.

Mihu: Go and get changed. I've made curry today!

Zen: Right... (Still DULL)

Zen climbs up the stairs and goes to his room.

Mihu: Hmmm.... He doesn't seem very happy. I wonder what happened.

After ten minutes.

Zen climbs down the stairs and takes his seat in front of his sister who's setting the table.

( The table is in kitchen)

Mihu: Lets eat.

Zen: Hm.

They begin eating.

Mihu: So, how was your day?

Zen: Fine.

Mihu: This is weird. It was your first day. There has to be something you can tell me.

Zen: Yeah. I felt weird at first but then it all felt okay.

Mihu: I see. Did you make any friends?

Zen: Everyone seemed nice.

Mihu: Hmm....

Mihu finishes first. She picks up her plate and starts washing dishes.

Next Ten minutes pass something like this;

Mihu is washing the dishes.

Zen:   *SIGH*

Mihu is putting the dishes in the cupboard.

Zen: *SIGH*

Mihu is doing work and Zen ;

*SIGH* *SIGH* *SIGH* *SIGH* *SIGH*....

Finally, 

Mihu: Zen, what's wrong?

Zen: Nothing.

Mihu: You just sighed the SEVENTH TIME! What is going on here?

Zen: It's nothing.

Mihu takes a seat in front of him.

Mihu: You can't fool me. Tell me. I might be able to help.

Zen: It's.... about a girl I met today.....

Mihu stares at him then closes her eyes.

Mihu: Go on I am listening.

Zen: ... This is weird.

Mihu: What is?

Zen: I was expecting you to jump up and start babbling about me liking a girl or something.

Mihu: *GIGGLES* I'm your sister, am I not? I'd know when that would happen. Right now, it's something else.

Zen: So you really can be serious.*SMIRK*

Mihu: Of course. You were saying...?

Zen: Well, I met her today and she seemed very nice. I felt comfortable around her so I tagged along with her to where ever she was going. She's a very shy person. She told me to stay away because everyone hate her. I just can't figure out why.

Mihu: Zen, What's her name?

Zen: Sakura Haruma.

Mihu: I see.

Zen: Ok, but I can't see. Tell me what's going on?

Mihu: Zen, do you remember the Hospital tragedy five years ago?

Zen: Yeah. So?

mihu: A  seven year old girl poisoned the hospital's water supply to the patients. It killed over 800 patients.

Zen: I heard.

Mihu: Back then , I was sent to meet that girl. She was a member of the Haruma clan.

Zen: No way! Don't tell me that Sakura...

Mihu: It was her. The girl didn't do it on purpose. The vampires fooled her into this. She was just a child anyways. 

Zen: So it wasn't her fault.

Mihu: Yes, but people still hate her. What happened was just something no one had predicted.

Zen: *SIGH*..... What should I do now? Stay away from her like everyone else?

Mihu: That's up to you.  I can't tell you what to do but yeah, I'd say this; I have lived her life. It really hurts when people blame you without knowing how you feel. She's unable to get out of that past.

Zen: I get it. I'll think about this. 

Mihu : As you wish. Oh!  I almost forgot,  I am going out for a while.

Zen : Huh?  Where to?

Mihu: Vampires have been attacking the border lately. The warrior King wants to discuss the situation.

Zen: So they have started involving you into this.

Mihu: Don't worry about it. It's my duty as A PRINCESS AND FAIRY. I'll be back, Bye.

Zen: Bye.

Mihu removes her apron, wears her shoes, grabs her bag and leaves.

Mihu's thoughts: I couldn't tell him the real reason. I have to deal with these vampire problems myself. He is just a child right now. I'm sure he has his own stuff to worry about.

Zen's thoughts: Mi-chan is right. It wasn't her fault. I know what I am supposed to do now!

Next day;

At first, Zen doesn't talk to her but during lunch break he silently follows her to the roof top. After reaching there, he calls out to her.

Zen: Sakura!

Sakura: Y..you?!

Zen: I... wanted to talk to you.

Sakura: But I don't! Please stop following me around. I told you didn't I? People hate me.

Zen: I know.... I know what happened.

Sakura : If you do... then why? ...

Zen: It's true that I can never know how it feels... but My sister does. It's not because of my sympathy for you, I just really wanna be your friend. I wanna make you feel better because despite my sister's past she is one of the most joyful people I have ever met. I don't care what others think of you but for me, you are the first person I wanna be friends with.

Sakura: .........

Sakura's thoughts: What kind of a person is he? Why would he care so much?...... I'm so glad I bumped into him yesterday!

Sakura: I.... I want to be your friend too....... You're so nice to me......

Zen: I'm glad.....

Seeing Zen like that, Sakura gives him a warm smile.

And that's when Zen realizes that she is CUTE and then ends up red like a tomato.

Sakura: I.... hope we could be great friends. It's been a while since I had one.

Zen: A..Me too! (Still trying to calm down)

So..... First of all, SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE! I was just too busy with school. Ah! and don't expect me to update soon because I am tooo busy with school these days but I'll update and that's a promise.

About the chapter, This is the extra side story for this book. I'll write this (Zen's) story in this book too but those chapters won't be a lot and I'll write them as extra chaps in between the real story chaps.
