Zen looks at Mihu falling to the ground. Her spell power was almost zero. Zen is just about to fly in full speed and save her when someone else saves her instead.

Zen: You....

Mihu was unconscious.

Nagisa: Hiro!

Ayumi: Thank god!

Yumi: He saved her!

Hiro carried her (bridal style) to Zen. Without saying anything, Zen helped him lay her down on a mat in front of Lily.

Hiro: She'll wake up and start a rampage again so put her to sleep. (He's talking to Nagisa)

Nagisa who was also sitting on a mat, crawls to Mihu and casts a sleep spell on her.

Hiro , who was kneeling down beside Mihu, stands up and looks at Zen.

Hiro: Take care of her.

Zen nods.

He then faces the vampire. His face was emotionless but there was pure rage in his eyes.

Vampire's thoughts: One after the other, how many body guards does she have? Now who is this brat? He doesn't look that strong... probably just a weakling ready to sacrifice himself for her.... These people are plane idiots....

Vampire: Why am I not surprised? Seems like princess has a lot of fans.... Lets see how long you can last but unfortunately I don't have much hope for you.

Hiro: Don't worry. It won't take too long.

Hiro's thoughts: He's strong but his spell power is already below 50% because of his fight with Zen and Mihu. He's after Mihu so all I have to do is keep him away from her and then kill him. Lets end this fast.....

Hiro removes his glasses and puts them in his pocket. He takes out his sword and advances towards him.

(Hiro can't read without glasses , he has a far sight. As he's always reading, he wears glasses all the time but even without them, he can see everything clearly)

He was so fast that it seemed like he teleported himself behind the vampire. His sword went right through the vampire's chest and he fell to the ground before he could realize what was going on.

Everyone stared at him blankly. Suddenly, Hiro's sword turns into ashes along with the vampire's body.

Nagisa: What just happened?!

Zen: Was that a clone?

Karasuma: yes but what happened to his sword?

Hiro calmly turned around as the real vampire walked to him.

Vampire: I'm impressed.... You destroyed my clone very easily.... the princess noticed that it was a clone too.... not many can do that.....I was wrong... you are strong.... stronger than others....

Hiro just glared at him.

Karma: What now? He has no weapon to fight with!

Lesha: He should back away now!

Vampire: Are you still trying to fight? You have no weapon. My plan was to destroy the princess's sword with that spell but honestly I'm glad that your sword was destroyed or I'd be dead meat... I'm very curious. Who are you?

Hiro: None of your business.

Hiro once again uses his extreme fast speed and appears behind him, punching him in the face.The vampire goes flying many meters away. They both engage into close range hand to hand combat but the vampire has an advantage , having a sword.

Seeing that the vampire is exhausted, Hiro backs away. He uses the time the vampire is trying to gain his strength, to think of a way to end this.

Hiro's thoughts: He's got a sword. I can fight but not kill him. I need a weapon and it has to be stronger than his. I can always use IT but.... will that be okay? I have hidden it for five years... Why am I thinking so much? It's for her.... It doesn't matter.... I have to do it for her..... That's why I came to fight him. I can't let her get hurt. Do it Hiro! For her!

Hiro casts a spell and summons a sword. As he summons it, Hiro feels like he's in water. It was the first time he actually summoned it.

He opens his eyes and they begin to glow. A sword appears in front of him and he grabs it.

Karasuma: That sword!

Zen: No ways....

Karasuma, the principal and Zen recognized the sword.

Hisato: What's wrong?

Zen: It's no ordinary sword! That's the ANCIENT WATER SWORD! It's the sword that the prophecy child ,other than Mi-chan, will use.

Karasuma: So.... he's... the one?!

Principal: Seems like it.

Vampire: No ways! You can't be!

Hiro: Get lost already. (*Insert sasuke's voice because well.... it's hot!)

He gave the vampire a final death glare.

Hiro: SACRED WATER BLADE...

With that spell, he advances towards the vampire. His sword slices him into half and he turns to dust.

He puts the sword in its case that appeared around his waist. He falls on one knee with exhaustion...

Karma runs to him and offers to heal him which he ignores and stands up, walking towards Mihu.

To Lily;

Hiro: Is she okay?

Lily: I've healed her but it's better if she's taken to hospital.

Karasuma: I'll take care of that.

Hiro looks at her.

Hiro's thoughts: I wonder how you'll react.... I am supposed to be your partner. WE have to kill the vampire king.... I am sorry for hiding it but..... I just hope you wake up soon.

Lesha: You should get treated too.

Yumi: Yeah. Your spell power is very low.

Hiro: I'm fine.

Saying this, he turns and begins walking towards the classroom probably to take his stuff and go home. Zen calls out to him.

Zen: Wait!

Hiro turns his face to the side and looks at Zen from the corner of his eyes, not turning his body.

Zen bows.

Zen: Thank you for saving her.... but why would you do that?

Hiro: .... Kids like yourself shouldn't concern their selves with this sort of problems. Go back to your school.

Zen: That's not the answer of my question! I want to know why a vampire has the sacred sword and why you saved my sister!

Hiro: I'm a warrior too and....I don't know why... I just did...

Zen's eyes widen.

Hiro turns his face back, looking ahead and begins to walk away.

Zen's thoughts: How is that possible? How come he doesn't know?..... and even if he doesn't,I have my own suspicions.... I just hope I am wrong....

Mihu and the other injured students were taken to the hospital. Mihu stayed unconscious for the rest of the day. The spell on her was broken when the vampire died.

Next morning;

Mihu slowly opens her eyes and looks to her side, only to see Zen standing beside her, looking at her. She sits up.

Mihu: Zen.... what happened to the vampire?

Zen: He was defeated.....

Mihu: I see....

Mihu's face was expressionless but there was sadness in her voice and eyes.

Zen: How are you feeling Mi-chan?

Mihu: Better.... How's everyone else?

Zen: They are fine. There were three causalities. Their funeral will be held this after noon .

Mihu: I'd like to go then.

Zen: Mi-chan, their families.....

Mihu: It's okay. I'm ready to hear whatever they have to say to me..... That's my duty...

Zen:....

Mihu: Who defeated the vampire?

Zen: It..... it was.... umm...

Mihu: Who was it Zen?

Zen: Hi....Hiro.. Usagi....

Mihu: What?!

Zen: And... it has been confirmed that..... he is the other prophecy child.... He used the water sword....

Mihu was shocked.

Zen: Mi-chan.... are you okay?

Mihu hurriedly covered the shock on her face with a fake smile.

Mihu: I.. I 'm fine! Just a bit surprised.... Oh! Look at the time... Don't you have school today?

Zen: I thought I'd stay with you for the day...

Mihu: Come on now! I'm perfectly fine. I believe my friends will be coming to see me soon anyways so you can go. You shouldn't miss school.

Zen: But...

Mihu: It's okay. When you come back, we can go to the funeral together. Okay?

Zen: I don't know....

Mihu: Zen, go!

Mihu glared at Zen.

Zen looked at his sister and left the room.

Zen: Bye.

Mihu: Hmm...

After leaving,

Zen's thoughts: No matter how much you try to hide it Mi-chan.... There's more to it than what you show..... I can tell that you were not just surprised..... What are you feeling right now? and what do you feel about him?

Mihu's thoughts: I shouldn't have talked to Zen like that.... but right now... There's a storm raging inside me...Questions I need answers to.... Answers that only he has....

An hour later;

Someone knocks the door to Mihu's hospital room.

Mihu: Come in....

Hiro enters the room.

Mihu: So you finally decided to show up....

Hiro puts the basket of daisies on the table. Mihu looks at them with surprise.

Mihu: How did you know I like daisy flowers?!

Hiro: You told me.

Mihu: No I didn't!

Hiro: ....... How are you feeling now?

Mihu takes a deep breath, controlling her anger.

Mihu: Why didn't you tell me?

Hiro: Tell you what?

Mihu: That you were the second prophecy child.

Hiro: The last time I checked, I didn't sign any contract that said , I must tell you everything about my life.

Mihu: Stop it! Don't you get it?! If you would've told me before, we could've saved all those lives! I don't know about you but those lives mattered to me!

Hiro: Everyone's life matters to you. What's new about that? Mirai, Asuka.... that's all that matters...

Mihu: Are you going to help me or are you just as heartless as that vampire?!

Hiro: I can't help you.

Mihu: You were chosen! You can't just back down and let people die!

Hiro: And if I say that I'll help, will other people of Asuka accept that? I am a vampire after all.

Mihu:....

Hiro: Even if I am accepted as the prophecy child, what shall we do? Barge into the vampire king's castle and try to kill him? You'll freeze in your tracks at the mention of the day the fairies died and then all I will be able to do is run. It's not that easy.

Mihu: So you are scared? Is that it?!

Tears filled Mihu's eyes as she stared at Hiro in disbelief.

Hiro: Well, you can say that. I don't feel a need to risk my life for others.

Mihu jumps out of her bed, walks to Hiro , and slaps him.

Mihu: I...hate you! I HATE YOU!!! GET OUT OF HERE!!!

She falls on her knees and Hiro just stares at her.

Mihu's thoughts: Why?.... Why am I feeling this way? What was I expecting?..... He's a vampire... of course he'd never help me! ....Then.... why does it hurt so much?!.... His words.... they hurt like a knife piercing through my heart!!!...... How could I trust him?..... He.... I want to hate him... but.... why do I feel so bad that I slapped him?!... What's wrong with me?!!!

Hiro tries to pick her up but she pushes him away.

Mihu: JUST STAY AWAY FROM ME! WHY DO YOU CARE?! WHY DID YOU FIGHT THAT VAMPIRE?!!! WHAT IS ON YOUR MIND?!!!! WHY CAN'T I FIGURE YOU OUT?!!!!

Hiro said nothing.

Mihu's thoughts: That's it.... I've had enough of him....

Mihu stands up on her own, facing Hiro. Wiping her tears, she looked at him right in the eye.

Mihu: You know what?.... I don't care anymore.... If you don't wanna help, then don't.... I'm still gonna fight for this kingdom... I will fight the vampire king alone. Even if I die, I'll get Asuka's other half back! and you..... You better not show me your coward face ever again.... because you disgust me! I don't know why I thought that you would help me... but now I know I was wrong so get lost!

Hiro: Mihu,..

Mihu: Don't say my name! Just go! Is it too much to ask?!

Hiro: Mihu, I...

Just then someone knocks at the door.

Mihu: Come in!

Nagisa and others enter the room.

Nagisa: Mihu!!!!

Nagisa runs at Mihu joyfully but stops midway when she sees Hiro there.

Nagisa backs away a bit.

Nagisa: I think I'll come back later.

But as she turns to leave, Mihu grabs her hand to stop her.

Mihu: The one that should leave is him, not you.

Lesha: Mihu, what happened? Is everything okay?

Mihu: I just found out that I shouldn't trust people fast.

Hiro looks at Mihu.

Hiro: I wish... I could explain. I'm sorry.

With that, he leaves.

Hiro's thoughts: This is not what I planned! I wanted her to give up on this prophecy child thing.... What must I do?! Now she hates me. She won't let me protect her and even if I do so, she'll just ask a billion questions.... Questions that I can't answer..... I don't know why. Why is she the only person I care for? Why is her life so important to me? I can't see her hurt or crying... I like it when she's around.... Is it just that meeting in our past that makes me so connected to her?

Nagisa: Mihu, What happened?! Did he say something?!

Mihu: Nagisa, lets not talk about him.....

Mihu gave her a sad smile.

Hisato: But everyone is talking about him.

Ayumi: Yeah! He's the other prophecy child after all.

Yumi: So he'll work with you as your partner now, right?

Mihu: No. He said he doesn't want to fight for people. He doesn't care for other people's life.

Karma: I can't believe he said that!

Mihu: Me too.... but he's a vampire so...

Lily: Then why was he so worried about you?

Mihu: What? He was worried about me?

Lesha: Yeah. He spent the whole night outside your room just to make sure that you were safe. And not to mention how he saved you yesterday and then fought the vampire for you.

Mihu: You guys are kidding right? Why would he do that?

Ayumi: It's true!

Yumi: He did it all for you!

Mihu sits on her bed with shock.

Mihu: What does he want?.... He says he doesn't care for others then saves me? What is he planning?

Hisato: Mihu, I know you are confused but right now you have to get things together. There is chaos out there. People think you are weak and they don't trust you anymore. The king wants answers. The future of Asuka is at stake here.

Mihu buries her face in her hands.

Mihu: Oh my god.... what am I supposed to do now?....

Nagisa puts a hand on Mihu's shoulder.

Nagisa: We are with you Mihu. We know how strong you are.

Mihu: You guys...

Ayumi: Don't worry Mihu!

Yumi: We will help you over come all your fears and everything will be okay then!

Karma: But what about Hiro?

Lily: Yeah, we can't defeat the vampire king with out him.

Mihu remained silent.

Mihu's thoughts: Mihu, did you ever try to figure him out?.... He never stood up for anyone... not even himself! But whenever I was in trouble, he rushed in to help me..... I never asked him why or thanked him properly.... Honestly, I never saw him as anything else but a half vampire... even when I tried being a friend, I never let my guard down. I said I was trying to become his friend but I never treated him as one..... Am I the one at fault? Am I no different than the people who never accepted him? .... Maybe he saw me as an opportunity. He thought that if he could be friends with me then he might be accepted and that's why he always tried to protect me.....

Lesha: Mihu....

Mihu: How.... do you apologize to someone whom you've hurt so much?....

Mihu looked at her friends with tears in her eyes. They could see the pain and sadness on her face.

Everyone was speechless....

Mihu: I thought I was always right... that I could judge people.... But I.... I never knew what he wanted.... I never knew what he was looking for..... That's... why I don't know how to apologize anymore..... Even if the Kingdom is destroyed because of him not helping me.... it would all be my fault..... It's easy to talk but I didn't treat him right myself.... How will I ever be able to say sorry and how will he ever forgive me?.... I realized that I was wrong but... is it too late now?

Lily: Mihu, it's okay to make mistakes..

Ayumi: Yeah, it happens to everyone!

Yumi: It's true you misunderstood him but you weren't the only one. We too, never treated him right.

Lesha: When you make mistakes, you apologize and if they don't forgive you, you try again. That's how it is.

Karma: The important thing is that you realized your mistake.

Nagisa holds her hand.

Nagisa: And if you apologize and he still acts like a jerk to you, I have a wide range of potions you know! Even the special one!

Mihu: The special one?

Nagisa: Yeah, the lo..!

Lesha smacks her on the head.

Lesha: I'm sure she doesn't need the SPECIAL ONE!

Mihu: Wait, what special one? I don't get it!

Hisato pats Mihu's head.

Hisato: Don't worry about that, it will be harmful for your innocent soul.

Mihu: Come on you guys! Tell me already!

Quickly, the mood in the room changes from sad to joyful. They kept teasing Mihu as she laughed on her friends's silly jokes, forgetting all her troubles.

After a little while, Nagisa holds Mihu's hand.

Nagisa: See? It's not hard to forget bad things when you're happy. Here's a tip, whenever you can't fight someone because of some bad memories, just think of all the good and happy times you had.

Lesha: And whenever you'll look behind, you'll find us right there, with you.

Ayumi: You might have had a tough life, but you had some good times too, didn't you?

Yumi: And the best part is that we are your friends, so you should be extra happy!

Mihu begins to giggle.

Mihu: I've never been to a school before.... I was always training and fighting in wars... I never knew what friends were like, what happiness was.... When I wasn't much help during wars anymore, I was told to join Airi, in order to learn how to control this fear of my past..... I never thought that I'd be able to achieve anything but... I was so lucky to meet you all. Thanks to you guys, I at least have hope... hope of living a better life so I won't have any regrets, even if I die one day.....

Lily: Why do you think I exist in this group? You're not dying on my watch.

Karma: And if Lily is useless like she is, I'll be of much help!

Lily punches him right in his stomach.

Lily: Not funny!

Karma: AAAAAA!!!! It hurts! I think you broke my ribs!!!! I'm dying!!!!

Lily smacks him again.

Lily: You are perfectly okay so shut up! This is a hospital idiot!

Everyone begins to laugh.

Mihu's thoughts: Hiro, you're right.... I DO have more than I think....My friends, brother, Asuka... and you.... I might've hurt you... but I WILL change everything. Not just me,everyone will accept you.... as a warrior.... MY warrior....

I don't have much to say but SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE!!! I just couldn't find motivation! But no worries. I'll update the next chap in two to three days because now I'm motivated for no reason what so ever! Please vote if you like my story and comment to let me know if there is improvement required.
