Mihu spends a little more time with her friends after which they leave. She is also sent a bouquet of flowers from Karasuma and The Principal.

Afternoon;

Mihu is sitting on the couch, reading a book when someone knocks at the door.

Mihu: Come in.

Zen enters the room.

Mihu puts the book away and stands up.

Mihu: Hey, I've been waiting for you.

Zen: Sorry, I was caught up in some work.

Mihu: Work? You weren't called by the king, were you?

Zen: No. It was some security stuff.

Mihu: Oh, I see..... Zen, I'm sorry for being rude to you this morning. I didn't mean to...

Zen: It's okay. I know you're stressed already.

Mihu holds her brother's hand and smiles.

Mihu: Zen, It'll change! I'm going to change everything...

Zen could clearly see strong determination in his sister's eyes.

Zen: I believe in you Mi-chan!! I always have.

Mihu: Thanks...Lets go...

Zen: Hmm...

Both of them head to the Asuka's Heaven's Gate Cemetery where the funerals for the three students are being held. This is Asuka's largest graveyard and is right next to the castle.

Zen and Mihu reach the funeral. Mihu is wearing a black dress and holding white roses.

Everyone turn to look at her. Everyone was glaring at her but she kept looking at the ground as she walked to the graves and put the flowers there. She then closed her eyes and prayed for their peace. Zen was right behind her.

Just then, the mother of one of the students walks up to Mihu and slaps her.

Which causes Mihu to stumble but Zen grabs her hand and saves her from falling.

Zen: Hey..!

Mother 1: How dare you show your face here?!!

She exclaims with tears in her eyes. The other two mother start crying too. Mihu remains silent , not looking at the woman even once.

Zen: Mam, please stop!

Mihu: Zen! Do not stop her... I deserve this. (Sad voice)

Zen: Mi-chan,..!

Mother 2: Don't you have shame?! How could you come here?! We lost our children thanks to you!!!!! (CRYING)

Mother 3: We know... just because you are royalty... you won't even be punished... BUT SEEING YOUR FACE MAKES THE PAIN WORSE!!! (SOBBING)

Nagisa, Hisato, Ayumi and everyone else including the teachers and The principal were there and they just stared at them.

Mihu begins to speak in a sad and low voice.

Mihu: I...I know what you're feeling.... I'm sorry... I'm sorry but...

Mihu raises her head and much to everyone's surprise, she wasn't crying. In fact, she had a very determined and strong expression.

Mihu: But I am not the cause of your children's death.

Mother 2: There you go denying it! Do you think we are stupid?!

Mihu: No Mam. I take the blame for not coming to their rescue in time and I regret it but I was not the one who killed them. I am done with taking meaningless blame upon myself. It was a vampire who did this to my fellows and I promise that I'll avenge every one of them...

Mother 1: But.... it won't bring my daughter back.... It's all over for us!

Mihu: I know... defeating the vampires won't bring our loved ones back... I know my family will not come back to me.... but I still fight! There's still a lot I have to fight for!

Zen: Mi-chan...

Tears fill Zen's eyes.

Nagisa: Mihu.... You are finally truly strong... (whispers to herself)

Mihu's thoughts: I get it... I have to stop. I have to stop blaming myself and get my head straight! I've had enough crying and sobbing... Now I'll fight. I will not let my past drag me down... This is a lesson and I must not let another person die in vain...I'll be the change Asuka needs.....

Mother 1 knew Mihu was right but the pain was too much. She falls on her knees crying but Mihu catches her.

Mother 1: I'm... sorry.... I just...

Mihu hugs her with tears in her eyes.

Mihu: No... I am sorry.... I wish I could save her.....I'm so sorry...

Principal: She reminds me of both of her parents.... I believe she is going to make things right...

Karasuma: You knew her parents?

Principal: They were great teachers I tell you...

Standing quite far from the crowd, Hiro stared at Mihu as he smiled softly.

Hiro's thoughts: I think you'll be just fine... with out me...

Zen's thoughts: I've never seen this version of her... but I feel like things are going to be much better now..... I think Mi-chan has finally found herself.... I'm so glad.

Mihu helps the woman stand up. She bows , grabs Zen's hand and begins to walk away, towards their parents' graves. The siblings stop in front of the graves.

Mihu: Zen, do you know when I last visited them? (sadly)

Zen: No... But I visit them everyday...

Mihu: You're such a good child.... They must be so proud...

Zen: So are you...

Mihu: No... I'm a terrible daughter... I haven't visited them for six years.....

Zen: But why?...

Mihu: Because I never felt like I was worthy to show them my face.... I wanted to come to them when I would've finally defeated the vampires....Silly right? I forgot that they are my parents...I was always Mom and Dad's angel.... They never blamed me..They are gone yet still live within me. You know, when I started my training, I visited them every day just so I could cry beside them, hidden from everyone. So I won't be thought to be weak. When I started fighting in the front lines, I promised to visit when I'd achieve something good enough but that day never came and I ended up being tackled by the past....But today... I think I have changed and they need to see this change...

Zen: Mi-chan.... I'm sure they are happy to see you...

Mihu: Yeah... I'll visit them more often.... not to cry but to tell them all about my adventures....

They remain silent for a while before Mihu turns around to leave. It's already dark.

Mihu: Now it's time to face everyone. Let us go to that meeting in the castle.

Zen looks at his sister with surprise.

Zen: Who told you they were having one?!

Mihu smiles and winks.

Mihu: I heard you talking about it to someone.

Zen smiles back.

Zen: Seems like you're back.

Mihu: Lets go or we'll be late!

She grabs his hand again and begins to run towards the castle.

Mihu's thoughts: I'm fine... Lets embrace this challenge Mihu!!!

Their is a tense silence in the meeting room. Everyone , including the king are waiting for Zen who was supposed to be there as Mihu's representative.

higher up1: I think we should begin. He is not coming.

A female higher up(2) Lady Manami: Oh come on! He's a little late, So what?! I'm sure he'll be here.

Higher up 3: He's only a kid... What do you even expect.. That princess is such a coward!

King: That's enough! Let us begin...

Just then the door of the room smashes open and Mihu runs inside , dragging Zen with her.

Zen: Mi-chan! Wait!!!

Mihu: Sorry we're late!

Lady Manami: My My.... ~~~~

Everyone stared at them speechlessly.

Zen comes forward and bows, apologizing.

Zen: I'm very sorry....

King sighs hopelessly.

King: Let us begin.

Zen and Mihu go and sit on their respected seats.

Chief assistant begins as he hands over some papers to the king.

Assistant: These are the details of the Airi High attack. Apparently this unfortunate event has enlightened a lot of facts.

Higher up 1: Including the truth about Princess Mihu's failure in the war.

Lady Manami: I highly disagree. Princess has done a lot during the war.

Higher up 3: But she can no longer do so. Apparently her unfortunate memories of the past are holding her back.

Zen: But she was only five back then! Of course it affected her mind!

Lady Manami: May I remind everyone that the person we are discussing is in this room at present?

Everyone looks at Mihu who is staring at the table quietly.

King: What do you have to say in your defense princess?

Mihu: There's nothing to say. I and you, we both know my weakness and you've been aware of this for a long time your highness.

Higher up 3: He knew?!

Higher up 4: We've been deceived!

Mihu: I'm not done talking! The thing is, there's nothing much you can do about it.

Higher up 5: What do you mean by that?

Mihu smiles.

Mihu: I am your only hope. I am the prophecy child so you can't get rid of me.

Everyone, including Zen stare at her with shock at those words. Manami smirks.

Lady Manami's thoughts: This kid...

Higher up 6: This is your best excuse?!

Mihu: Not at all. I know I am not good enough YET but I will be. I won't ask for time either because I know we seriously lack it. The only thing I CAN do is assure you that the next time I face the enemy, things will go my way.

Higher up 7: How are you so sure? As much as I know, you've not recovered.

Zen: This is not some sort of a disease!

Mihu: Exactly. They are some bitter memories that haunt me.But now I have some good ones to replace them. As for surety... I am TOBIRAMA and MIAKA WISATLIA'S daughter! I swear upon their great names that this won't happen again. My father was a man of his words and he taught me well... I am too far from those two but their blood runs through my veins. I have yet to show you all, what my parents left behind... so give me a chance!

Lady Manami to the King: I trust her.

When no one else objects, The King smiles warmly at Mihu.

King: I think you already have the power of words, your father had. *SIGH* He and your Mother were great people... I have always respected them. Mihu, I can see you growing up to be a great queen like your mother and all my blessings are with you child.

Mihu stands up and bows joyfully. Zen does the same.

Mihu: Thank you! Thank you so much!!

Zen's thoughts: So this is what father and Mother were like... I can't believe how much she has changed in such little time! I never knew my parents but Mi-chan just showed me how amazing they were....

Lady Manami's thoughts: Miaka, my dear beloved friend.... your daughter turned out to be exactly the way you wanted her to... She had her worst times and unfortunately she'll face worse in the future but I am sure she will push through it all bravely....

Zen and Mihu sit back down. The assistant continues.

Assistant: Another problem has arose your majesty. The vampire boy, Hiro Usagi has been confirmed to be the other prophecy child. He was seen using the Ancient Water Sword during his battle with the enemy.

As soon as Mihu hears Hiro's name, her eyes widen which does not go unnoticed by Zen.

King: This is a very sensitive matter. We must deal with it cautiously.

Lady Manami: I do not trust the boy. Vampires have always been very troublesome.

Higher up 8: So shall we relocate the sword? We can give it away to someone more suitable.

Higher up 9: I think Prince Zen will be a great choice.

(A/N: In case you guys are wondering, there are 12 higher ups)

Mihu: This is ridiculous!

Mihu puts her hands on the table hard and stands up with anger.

Zen: Mi-chan! Calm down!

Zen's thoughts: She handled everything so calmly a little while ago. What happened now?!

Mihu's thoughts: Mihu! What the hell are you doing?! Calm down.... Don't go ruining everything!

Mihu takes a deep breath and sits back down.

Mihu: I'm sorry.

King: What do you have to say about this?

Mihu: I have known Hiro for a while now... and I don't think he deserves this kind of treatment.

Higher up 10: May we remind you that he's a vampire?!

Higher up 11: And we haven't seen a single vampire in our favor, to this date!

Mihu: I know... things haven't gone the way they should've but why do we forget that he is also a warrior. He can't even use his vampire powers and I think he's an excellent warrior.

The 12th and the last higher up, Lady Sonia Ichikawa, who has been silent all this time, speaks up finally.

Sonia: (coldly) So what do you suggest? We put our trust in that boy?

Mihu: I do.

Sonia: Ridiculous! That filthy creature shouldn't even be alive at this point.

Mihu: Excuse me Lady Sonia! But who gave you the right to speak in that manner about him?! As much as I know, his mother was a great warrior like yourself. Surely you aren't saying that warrior blood is filthy...

Sonia: You're such a clueless child. His foolish mother was my own elder sister!!

Zen: What?!

Mihu's thoughts: She's his aunt?!

Mihu: I don't get it. If he is your sister's son then why are you so against him?!

Manami: Mihu, this is not something we should discuss here.

Mihu: I understand but I want you all to hear me out first. I have a good reason for supporting him!

King: Out of all the people in Asuka, you two must be the ones to hate vampires the most. I would like to hear your reasoning for your actions.

Mihu: Very well. First of all, just like my case, you can't do anything about the fact that Hiro is the prophecy child. I too wield an ancient sword and I know that it is not the wielder that chooses the sword but the other way around. Our swords will be as useless as a plastic knife if we don't wield them. Also, from what I have known, Hiro is not just strong because of that sword. His power rivals my own even without it. Having him on our side will be very useful and having him as our enemy can be very dangerous. I mean, have you imagined the level of power he will gain once he learns to control his vampire powers too?

Manami: So you think he won't go against us once he is strong enough?

Mihu: That depends upon our actions.

Sonia: What do you mean?

Mihu: I am aware that our royal council makes decisions based on practical thinking but today I want you all to think emotionally. Hiro might have stayed in Mirae all this time but no one accepted him. He was not allowed to fight even for self defense. He had no friends or family. At this point, Mirae and Asuka are the names of a place where he lives not his home. If I was in this situation, I'd never hesitate even once before betraying Asuka. It's not like he'd love and protect those who always hated him. My point is that as long as we consider him a vampire, he will never be a part of Asuka. You allowed him to stay in this kingdom because of the good name of his mother so why can't you accept the fact that he is a warrior?!

Sonia: I see.... It's so unfortunate. You are acting exactly like your father.

Zen: What do you mean?

Sonia: Your father was a kind man. "We must solve all issues regarding vampires, peacefully. No one kills the vampires." He said to us all. We did what he told us and look at us now. He is gone, so are the fairies and we are fighting to get the other half of our kingdom back! This is WAR little lady, your emotions and kindness will destroy the little bit of what is left of Asuka!!

Manami: I'll.... have to agree with Sonia on this. Mihu, we all respect your good intentions but we can't simply take any chances at this point.

Mihu: But..!

King: Please princess, I get what you want to explain here but there is no room for errors in our judgments. If he turns his back on us and worse, kills you, then our last hope will also vanish.

Zen: I thought the same but he is not that kind of a person! I didn't like him and still don't! But I know we can put our trust in him!!!

Mihu looks at Zen with surprise.

Mihu: Zen...

Higher up 2: Can't you see? You two have fallen in his trap!

Mihu: No! This is not his trap! I know what it feels like to be alone!! To have no one around you to wipe your tears!

Mihu's eyes fill with tears but she wipes them away quickly.

Mihu's thoughts: This is no time for tears! I must keep fighting!

Mihu: Is it his fault that he is a vampire or the prophecy child? I want a clear answer.

Higher up 5: No, but..!

Mihu: Was it my fault that I was a fairy? Did a one year old boy(Zen) deserve to lose his family?

Manami: No.... (Sadly)

Mihu: Well then why do we have to suffer?! Why couldn't I get a normal childhood and Why did Zen have to live his entire life only fighting?... It's because we love Asuka and want to protect it! We chose this life so that we can protect our home! That's our purpose.Don't you think Hiro deserves a purpose too? He must be lost, not knowing where his life is taking him but if he has a home like us, he will not be lost... I know things will be better if only we understand.

Sonia: And what if you're wrong?

Mihu: I do not intend on dying until I kill the vampire king and if Hiro tries to stop me..... He WILL be punished. He is my responsibility.

Manami: Mihu, you do not know what you are getting yourself into! If he does anything wrong, you will be in major trouble!

Zen: Are you sure about this, Mi-chan?

Mihu: I am.

King: (SIGH) I guess we are going to vote.

Assistant: All in favor of Princess Mihu Wistalia , raise hands...

The King, Zen and seven higher ups, including Manami raise hands.

Mihu sighs in relief.

Assistant: Nine out of fourteen, agree to Princess Mihu Wistalia.

Mihu's thoughts: I did it... I thought It was all over for a sec!

Zen's thoughts: Thank goodness! That was close!

King: Mihu! I am putting my trust in you so be ware. I just hope you know what you're doing.

Mihu: I do!

King: That's it then. The meeting is over.

Everyone stands up and bows as the king leaves with his assistant. After that, others begin to leave too.

Manami walks up to Mihu and Zen.

Manami: You two surely put a heck of a fight for that boy.

Mihu: I guess...

Manami holds Mihu's hand.

Manami: Be strong Mihu. And remember that I'll always be there to help you. I voted in your favor because I trust you and I hope your judgement is correct.

Mihu: Thank you so much Lady Manami. I'm lucky to have your support. I will not disappoint you.

Manami smiles and looks at Zen.

Zen: What is it, Lady Manami?

Manami: I'm proud of you too.

Zen smiles.

Zen: I'm glad.

Manami has been a mother figure for Zen because she helped Mihu take care of him as a baby.

Manami ruffles his hair and leaves.

Mihu: She gives out mom like vibes, doesn't she?

Zen: Yeah...

As Mihu and Zen leave the room, they run into lady Sonia.

Mihu: Lady Sonia...

Sonia looks at Mihu directly in the eye.

Sonia: Why'd you go so far for him?

Mihu: Because he's my friend. (No hesitation)

Sonia lets out a small sarcastic laugh.

Sonia: Friend?... Hmm... I wonder....

Mihu: Lady Sonia, I know it's none of my business but why do you despise Hiro's mother?

Sonia: Despise? Don't be foolish. Sofia was my beloved sister! I could never hate her!

Mihu: Then why Hiro?

Sonia: I.. I begged her not to marry that vampire.... I cried and pleaded.. I knew what would happen... But she was blinded by love! She was killed because of that man! Just because she was his wife, the vampires killed them both!....... Even before that, Father told her to never show her face in our family again... She left and didn't look back once! How can I love and care for that man's child! Hiro is and will always remain a vampire and an enemy in my eyes!

Sonia yelled at Mihu with anger who just stared at her with surprise.

Mihu: His eyes are like yours and probably like his mother's... I can't find a vampire in him. He is kind but hardly shows it... I'm sure if you look at him, you'll see your sister. And one day, you'll accept him too.

Sonia: You wish!

Mihu: Lets go Zen.

Zen: Right!

Mihu and Zen walk past her.

Sonia: Listen up!

Mihu and Zen stop but do not turn around.

Sonia: Stop now or things will get ugly. Back then, vampires were only rebels but now... they are our biggest enemies. Don't end up falling in love with him or else...

Mihu: We are only friends! But honestly, I don't think falling in love with him would be that bad.

Sonia: You fought like that for a friend? You must be a very good one then.

Mihu: I guess.

Sonia walks away as she whispers.

Sonia: Foolish girl...

Mihu also begins to walk towards the exit and Zen follows closely.

Zen's thoughts: Lady Sonia is right! I think Mi-chan might have feelings for him too. If that's true then......

Zen: Mi-chan, Do you..

Mihu: Don't be silly Zen. Let me.. tell you a secret,... I already have someone in my heart. So I am definitely not in love with him.

Zen: Someone? Who?!

Mihu: You don't know him.

Zen: O..Okay...

Mihu's thoughts: That's right. My heart was already stolen 13 years ago. I still remember when we met. I only met him once but.... he promised we'd meet again and I'll keep waiting....

Mihu smiles sweetly.

After leaving the castle, Mihu and Zen head back home but on their way, they run into none other than Hiro.

Mihu: Zen, you go on ahead. I'll come later.

Zen nods and leaves them alone. Mihu and Hiro stare at each other for a couple of minutes before Hiro speaks up.

Hiro: What do you want?

Mihu: You heard the news?

Hiro: And what if I did?

Mihu: What do you think about it?

Hiro: Why do you want to know?

Mihu: Stop counter questioning and answer me!

Hiro: You were the one who started it!

Mihu: You continued it!

Hiro: You..! (SIGH) Never mind... Look, I know you worked really hard to earn everyone's trust for me, but I really don't care about it. I told you I am not going to fight.

Mihu: I know..and It doesn't matter to me anymore. I just wanted to apologize. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. I'm the one at fault. (SADLY)

Hiro: ......It's...okay. Just forget it ever happened.

Mihu: I can't! because... it taught me something important!

Hiro: What are you talking about?

Mihu: Hiro, Let us start again...I want to start all over, where I don't know you and where we meet again! I want to be your true friend! I want to trust you whole heartedly! ( Determined)

Hiro looks at her, surprised.

Mihu: It's fine if you don't want to fight for this kingdom cause I know why! I'm sorry for not understanding you... I know you need a friend. I know you're alone... And I promise that I'll change everything! People will know you as a great warrior and you'll have friends that'll be like your family! It'd be up to you what you want to protect!... but It'll all begin with me accepting you as a warrior and a good person. I want to save you from this loneliness and not because I want to use you but because I really like you as a person! Because I admit that I was wrong in judging you as a bad guy... In reality, I think... you're amazing.... so please be my friend!

Mihu bows with tears in her eyes.

Hiro: Mihu...

Hiro smiles sweetly.

Hiro's thoughts: Whenever I decide to leave your hand, you reach out and hold it again... It's not me... YOU'RE the one who's really amazing... You're the bright light in my dark life.... Maybe hopeless but you give me hope.... Something tells me that you really WILL change things for the greater good...

Hiro: I might be a terrible friend. (jokingly)

Mihu laughs.

Mihu: I think I can handle it!

Hiro's thoughts: That smile... I'll protect it. It's the only precious thing I have right now...

Mihu reaches her hand out.

Mihu: Hi! I'm Mihu Wistalia, A fairy! It's nice meeting you!!

Hiro lets out a small laugh as he takes her hand.

Hiro: Silly.... Hi, I'm Hiro Usagi, A warrior..

They remain silent as they stare into each other's eyes.

Mihu: I should get going, Zen must be waiting for me.

Hiro: Yeah.

They let go of each other's hand, blushing.

Mihu: See you!

Saying this, Mihu runs past him and turns around the corner. Hiro starts walking towards his apartment too.

Hiro: Yeah, see you...

Mihu stops for a few moments as she smiles to herself.

Mihu's thoughts: This time, nothing will go wrong. I'll give him what he missed all these years.... We all WILL be happy....

Hiro's thoughts: Mihu.... thank you. If you're with me, it doesn't matter what others think of me....
