Child's play.
So this one isn't as good as the others in my opinion, but it's my homework, and I don't know whether it's any good or not. Only one person has read this story yet, so I'm not actually expecting anyone to have read this before the homework's actually due in, but I'll put this up here, just in case.
Stains of black poisonous blood egressed the deceased body as it hung from the carriage of the Ferris wheel, head limp against his chest. Stationary. His complexion was paler than usual; he'd been dead a while. His clothes were disheveled, his hair matted with blood, and the locket around his neck Glinted wickedly in Crepuscular night.
Footsteps were hidden by the sudden breeze; Another man stood in the shadows, staring up at the giant wheel, which was devoid of light, in the abandoned park. A psychotic grin plastered across his face, he chuckled, low and menacing, as the blood dripped... As the blood dripped.
Camilla Rin stood stoically upon the decking in front of her house. Her Ebony black hair was tied into a messy bun, and her Olive skin was covered in goosebumps for what she was about to do. She wore black jeggings which reached just above her ankles, and soft heeled boots, so that her footsteps wouldn't make a sound. Covering her arms, was a black kimono, which rested over her lead-coloured blouse. Upon her face, her brown eyes were deep in thought.
The gusts of wind were rustling the trees, sounding like a running stream flowing through her ears. The leaves, rusty and burnt in their autumn decrepitude, were rustling and whispering in hushed tones, so not to disturb the teenager from her musings. She ran her hand down the wooden balustrade, the smell of fresh wood filling her senses, calming her.
Glancing down at her watch, she sighed in annoyance, staring back out onto the street. Finally, a lustrous black car swerved onto her driveway. Stepping out from the shade of the porch, she climbed into the passenger seat.
"Your late," her usually honeyed voice penetrated the silence. She surveyed the driver's appearance: a bright blue checkered shirt, with a plain white hoody - the hood pulled over his head. His cerulean blue jeans complimented his white converses, but it still wasn't good enough. "I told you to come in subtle clothing, Connor, not whatever your wearing. We're not going on a date you know. We're investigating a murder. Take your hood down as well; it's not raining in the car."
"As far as I'm aware," Connor began, allowing his arrogant smirk to form on his face. "You said 'dont wear anything that will bring attention to yourself.' I told you it was impossible. I always draw attention to myself."
Camilla exhaled in frustration, punching him in the shoulder. "Take your hood down, idiot, and start the car already, we need to get there before the police. Did you at least bring the camera?"
"No. But you did - I can see it round your neck. You didn't really trust that I would bring it did you?" He teased.
"Of course not! I don't even know why The Boss paired me up with you. I don't even know why you haven't been fired yet," she exclaimed, without taking her eyes off the Road. "Do you even know where your going? You were supposed to take the first exit at the roundabout."
"That's if you want to get there after the police; I've memorised a detour." He chortled at her vexation.
She smiled sweetly, in a way that made him roll his eyes. "Well I'm glad you've done something for once."
"Hey I do a lot of things!" He claimed, jumped out of his car as soon as he parked.
"Including relying on everyone else" she replied.
"Well... That's still doing something!"
"Whatever. We need to hurry, my guess is that we have ten minutes to find the body, take some pictures and get out of there before the police come." She said running towards the gates, which were open.
"How would the police know? The theme park is abandoned after all." Conner questioned as the slipped through the gate, careful not to tread on any of the cans littering the floor.
"I don't know. How did The Boss know that there was a murder in there?" She glanced back at him, watching as he silently sprinted to catch up with her, his brown hair tousled in the wind, and blue eyes reflecting the darkness of the midnight sky. She didn't care what he looked like though, not after what he and his father did...
"I don't know." Connor said, distracting her from her thoughts.
"You don't know a lot of things," she snapped. "And you should know this anyway, considering The Boss is your dad."
"Will you just let that -"
"No." Her eyes skimmed over a sign, hanging from a single hinge - probably beaten down in the storm. The letters presumably read 'Mirror Realm', but all of the vowels were missing, so in reality it said 'M rr r R lm'
Connor tugged on her elbow, pulling her towards a new section of the park, where the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and an assortment of pendulum rides were located. "I thought I saw something. Let's go and get some pictures then get out of here this place is creepy."
She agreed.
The two walked in silence, a solemn air hanging around them. They could here the sirens wailing, though they made no move to hurry their pace. There minds were fixated on finding there target; a victim to an assassination. Hopefully once they'd found the body, taken some pictures and returned them to the boss, they'd be able to find the murderer.
Yet both of them were blind to the footsteps following them. Both of them were deaf to the heavy breathing of a man so insane he could no longer talk. He walked right up behind them; neither of them noticed.
Then he slinked back into the shadows, hidden from the searching eyes of the detectives. Hidden, as the blood dripped. As the blood dripped...
So I did use some ideas from 'Cyclone' but that was for fun, and I needed some inspiration.
Ugh school is so annoying.
I spend my entire Friday trying to write this, because I literally could not think of what to write. Xx
