Carly's Condition
There were two months that passed by. Two months since Axle's gone missing. Since he was lost to CyberSpace. Carly paid visits to the lab everyday. Every second of every minute she spent by Axle's side. Lately she couldn't sleep and she's refused to eat almost every meal. The most she'd ever eat was a granola bar and that was it for the week.
The nightmares became more frequent every time she'd fall asleep so she was trying her best to give it up entirely. Sadly she had been failing at doing so since she still had a human brain that needed to recover.
All in all, Carly had been at an all time low with Axle fighting for his life in CyberSpace. She kept receiving bad news, first there was crime and now there were cases of mass suicide in the program. Many lives were lost and there was a serial killer lose in the program. Some user in deadly armor as far as she was told.
Everyday she'd go to the lab and she's see Axle looking so frail. His skin had paled greatly, his physique reduced to something worse than a starving model. He could see linings of his bones everywhere in his body, from head to toe. She wasn't sure how long he'd make it. Just because Barry Allen survived a nine month coma didn't mean that Axle would do something similar too, not only that but he wasn't in the best of conditions before going in in the first place.
All she could do was bide her time and wait for her Axle to come back to her. She wished she didn't keep putting him off in the past and now she realised the saying. You'll never know what you have until it's gone.
All she could do was cry as her worries grew. Rebecca told her that she was working on a way to help get Axle and the rest of the users out of CyberSpace but Carly didn't even want to hear it. As far as the CyberHuman was concerned, those were empty words because Axle should've been back by now.
Carly just felt rage aside from the dread. She wanted answers. The programmers tried to trace the hack back to its source, it's location, but nobody could find the IP address. Who could've done this? She kept wondering.
It had to be someone who hated Rebecca, but who? It made no sense.
All that could be said was that Carly's condition was starting to deteriorate at a rapid pace.
