Rosé had just returned to CyberSpace but she was confused. The Avalon Nights' headquarters was empty. It was so quiet in there that you could literally hear a pin drop.

"Lancelot!! Percival!!" She called about but she got no response other than her echoes. "Really Rebecca? You put echoes in a digital world."

She took a look at her friend's list and noticed that she at least had Lancelot on it. She sent him a message and he replied saying :

Carly, we already went after Bernstein, it could get dangerous so please stay away. I want you safe at all costs.
This is the day we all get our freedom back. Just wait for me.

"Axle you idiot." She groaned before getting his location. "Teleport, Avalon Nights."

A bright flash appeared before she reappeared behind the Avalon Nights... or what was left of them at least.

It was a bloodbath. Users left to right were falling, flying and one thing they all had in common was that they all turned into ones and zeroes. They were all dying. It was horrifying to see. Although this wasn't the real world, she knew the people were dying in the real one.

She dropped. She remembered all those deaths four years ago... even her killing people. She didn't want this... it was just reminding her of those times, thus triggering her PTSD as well. If this was how she was feeling, how was Axle fairing?

She knew what was happening to her. She started to get a panic attack. This didn't happen for a while now. All the blood started surrounding her as she started to cry.

All the people losing their lives for no reason at all. She was so lost that she didn't notice a cyberbullet was heading straight her way. She heard the sound of the bullet getting deflected followed a voice yelling, "I told you to stay away!! What the hell are you doing here?!!"

The voice woke her up. It calmed her down. She looked up to see Lancelot. She got up and looked at him. "I'm here to save everyone and I have a plan to do so."

"Well let's hear it." Lancelot said before ordering everyone to fall back, leaving just him, Rosé, Percival, Arthur and Black Cyber.

"Axle Ryder and Carly Kyber... Nice of the two of you to join me." Black Cyber said. "Tell me, how many people had to die before you two were brave enough to face me."

"Give it up Bernstein, we know it's you!!" Rosé yelled out. "And you're wrong there freak... The good doctor isn't here. While he's helping me, I'm the one killing people."

"As I thought. Bernstein isn't dumb enough to log in, Rebecca would've tracked him down already. Which means that this guy is part of the beta test." Lancelot said to himself out loud.

"Yeah, you catch on quick Ryder. Bernstein does the hacking while I do the slashing." Black Cyber told Lancelot.

"If you're working with Bernstein you probably have a grudge to settle with us." Rosé said.

"True, Bernstein wants the CyberHuman... but I want Ryder. I want him dead."

"Lancelot, what the hell is going on here?" Arthur asked.

"My past is catching up to me. Remember how said I fucked with some powerful people in the past?"

"What about it?" Percival asked. "Those people were the military. I was seventeen at the time and killed over thirty soldiers including a general."

"In a game right?" Arthur asked.

"No, he killed them all IRL... including my grandfather." Black Cyber said. "Grandfather? No... It can't be." Rosé said as her eyes grew wide. She looked at him with a look of shock.

Lancelot looked at Black Cyber with the same look under his armour.

"Axle, you don't think..." "I do... this really was a revenge game. Dammit!!"

"So you know who I am." Black Cyber smirked. "I'm the grandson of..."
