Chapter 25: Human VS CyberHuman (Part 1: Eight Thirty Two's Strength)
Axle stared at the the latest CyberHuman... one that donned his face and also one that used to be Grey. This was CyberHuman Eight Thirty Two. It was a bit strange in Axle's mind. Considering the fucked up shit he was forced to do and the person that Grey was, looking like the gamer just gave this situation a morbid outlook.
"Why me?" Axle asked, addressing the elephant in the room. "Whatever you wanna know, there's no point in finding out... after all," Eight Thirty Two said, "Information is useless to a dead man." His smirk disappeared. "Time to die kid."
Axle prepared to fire but Eight Thirty Two moved swiftly. He swiped the gun from the teenager's hands and crushed it. Axle was surprised to say the least. Grey moved and disarmed him in less than a second. That speed was terrifying and it made Axle start to slowly lose hope that he'd come out as the victor of this battle. "No toys left? Too bad." The CyberHuman said with a small smirk before punching Axle in his chest with all his might.
The impact of this force sent Axle flying into a wall, before falling to the ground. That punch, although Axle was protected by the suit, his internal organs and bones felt the shock from that punch. He groaned in pain before and while he got up. There was no doubt that he his chances of winning were slim to none. After all, Grey had speed and strength that Axle couldn't hope to match.
"This is just disappointing. Even in my old body I could still kick your ass. Where's that spunk Ryder? I thought you said you'd make it your personal mission to kill me." Grey told the teen as he approached him at a slow, mocking pace. The taunting was provoking Axle but he knew better by keeping himself composed.
"Oh I didn't forget what I said you jackass." Axle said, still groaning from the immense pain that he was feeling. Luckily the armor was slowly healing his injuries bit that wasn't enough. He still felt like a truck ran him over and he was having trouble standing. He was lucky his legs weren't shaking from weakness, otherwise Eight Thirty Two would've snapped them before snapping him like a twig.
"Strange, my endoskeleton is made out of Carbex and the armor that we wear is made of Carbex." Eight Thirty Two said shocking the teenage gamer in front of him. "This armor is so unnecessary, and I find it a bit redundant... but it's better to be safe than sorry." Those words put Axle through pure despair. That was about two bodies worth of Carbex and Grey knew how to fight. Axle's hopes were slowly slipping away.
He said before sliding to Axle's feet and grabbing his ankle, tripping him in the process. He got up, still holding Axle's ankle, and threw the teenage gamer into the elevator but on the way, in the air, Axle flew through the elevator door breaking it as a result.
Looks like I'm screwed here. Axle thought as he acknowledged the fact that he was fighting a losing battle. He wasn't even going to deny it, Grey had the upper hand here in this fight and in battle, the fighter with the biggest advantage is always the winner.
"Jesus Christ, Ryder... can't you at least just put up a fight?" Eight Thirty Two asked as he tried to stop himself from laughing. Honestly speaking, he wasn't sure if he should've laughed or held pity for the kid. "Why don't you come here and see if I can?" Axle said as he was clearly suffering from internal injury after that throw. He was trying to bluff bit it clearly wasn't working.
If he kept this bluff up he'd die from all the injuries before the armour could heal him. He noticed the devilish smirk on the CyberHuman's face. He knew there and then that it was all over.
"I'd like to kid, but you gotta drop below the basement." Those words confused Axle before Eight Thirty Two went to make the elevator move further down than where it was supposed to be. It went so far that only half of the room could be seen from the inside. The CyberHuman jumped out and looked at the the cables. He smirked and sighed and looked Axle in the eyes.
"It was nice knowing you kid... but as good as that armor is, not even that will protect you from this." He said before severing the cables from elevator, making Axle plummet fifty feet down the elevator shaft.
"And like that the pathetic gamer crashed." Eight Thirty Two said with some boredom and disappointment in his voice.
