Brainstorm Page #1

okay so while developing more on the plot and character dynamics, along with the actual personalities, i have mellowed down the story a bit.

it would take too long to have this big traumatic abuse and then edge them into a functional relationship. so i thought about it more and decided the relationship ended not because of abuse, it was unstable. i'll go into detail in a later chapter. i feel like the way Paris is being developed along with Jackson's development wouldn't make sense for an abusive plot. Jackson is turning out to be a conflicted sweetheart, while Paris is nice, yet backboned flirt.

yea. i'll explain soon.

the point of this chapter is to ask how should i do this.

Do you want me to progress the characters between themselves? This would allow for a smaller cast of characters and a more meaningful development between the two. It might take more work to properly write it all through and add more seperation and development between them.

Or should I add a throw away love triangle? I have another character that would benefit from this a lot. I haven't had the time to mention her, but there is a girl called Gabrielle. She is the best friend character, that no will not be that shipper fangirl character. It wouldn't make sense for her to be part of the throw away love triangle semse it isn't in her personality to do it. However, she has a friend that's mentioned in the beginning of the story that allows Gabrielle and Paris to actually become friends to begin with. I didn't have anything to do with her and swanted to make a subplot for them, but decided against it. It would also allow for a comparison between Jackson's relationship with Paris and his relationship with her. It also allows me to add some tension between Jackson and Paris to resolve.

Now writing out the pros and cons, I think I like the throw away love triangle. I'll be posting the rewritten opening of the story soon as well.

Thank you for viewing the development of Cutting Ties.
