First Date, First Kiss
I was nervous. Extremely nervous. Jittering my leg while I was sitting on my bed. Trying not to bite at my perfectly painted nails.
Tonight, I am going on my first date. Not just with Liv, but my first date overall.
I'm a little bit nervous. Just a little.
Okay. Maybe a lot. Don't judge.
I don't know how to act on a date. Was I supposed to be myself or act all polite and like a proper British man? Oh, I was going to ruin this date.
Since it was going to be warm later, I dressed in my dark wash skinny jeans with the butterfly holes and the most comfortable tank top I had. I grabbed the shoes that matched my shirt and ran out of the house before I could change my mind.
I walked down a few houses and stood infront of Liv's house before knocking. I closed my eyes and took a few calming breaths. Damn butterflies wouldn't stop their fluttering.
I reached up my fist and knocked on the door quickly. No-one answered.
"Well, nobody's home. Better leave." I said outloud in a hurry and stuck my hands on my pockets. I heard the door open as I turned to leave.
"Dee!" Liv yelled as she launched herself at me, jumping on my back. I may have let out a startled yelp.
"Gah, Liv!" I yelled. "Why you do this?"
"Your shirt says 'Bear Hugs' so I thought it fit." She said as she wrapped her legs around my waist and I adjusted her on my back.
"How does that have anything to do with a piggy back?" I said to her over my shoulder.
"Hmm..." Liv shrugged. "I don't know." I laughed and shook my head at her.
"Let's go, let's go, let's go!" She said with the enthusiasm of a five year old. Liv wiggled herself of my back.
"Quit squirming or I'll drop you." I playfully thratened. My date immediately stilled.
"What's the plan, Dee?" Liv asked as she let go of my waist and dropped to the ground. She quickly grabbed my hand and held it close to her.
"Well... I was thinking we could both go to two different car dealerships, get the same make and model car, drive to a predetermined spot, and have them fight. Whoever wins, we buy a car from them."
"Okay, not going to lie, but so like that idea. Problem is neither of us can drive and we don't have the money." She bumped me with her hip.
"Watch it, Bones." I poked her in the ribs, making her squirm and bat away my hand.
"I have a high metabolism, thank you very much." She nudged me with her arm. I rolled my eyes at her. "So are we going to the movies for out date?"
"Nah." I replied as we continued to walk down the street. "I was thinking of something more creative."
"Like what, Dee?"
"We could go walk the dogs at the animal shelter. They don't get that much exercise anyways and a walk would be good for them. Then I was thinking we could play tourist here. You just moved in a few weeks ago and there's got to be places you haven't seen yet." I said with a shrug. "This is the first date I've been on so sorry if I'm boring."
"I think those are lovely ideas." Liv squeezed my hand. "I think we should do that. You're not boring, you're cute."
I blushed. I tried not to, but I did.

(since I'm crap at writing, they walked some dogs and toured the city. BAM.)
"I have the urge to adopt a dog now." Liv said as we were walking home.
Our date lasted a long four hours. We had walked all of the dogs in the shelter and they were overjoyed to be out. We found a nearby dog park and played with them and let them run around for a while. Liv didn't want to leave the park so we just played with the shelter dogs for our date.
"You should. I saw you had your eye on that pit bull puppy."
"She was so cute!" Liv shook my arm in excitement. "Her name was Peaches and she was adorable! I want her."
I threw my head back and laughed.
"What would Cass have said about that?" I asked.
"My mom? Oh, I'd convince her to let us keep her. Mom loved dogs. So does dad." She wrinkled her nose at me. Which, in my opinion, was pretty damn cute. "Since when did you start calling my mom Cass?" I shrugged and kissed her on her nose.
"Parents love me." I wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"You have no idea. After you left when you met my mom, she and Caleb wouldn't stop talking about you. Not that I minded at all." Liv placed her head on my shoulder as we walked the rest of the way home.
Five minutes later found us on her front porch. I removed my arm and she hugged me tightly.
"I had fun with you tonight." Her sweet voice whispered in my ear, sending chills down my spine.
"As did I." I whispered back. Liv pulled away from me, her arms still around my shoulders, mine around her waist.
"I'm just going to go for it." My Liv muttered under her breath.
"Go for what?"
Liv leaned up and kissed me. She kissed me. Sweet mother of all things holy, those lips are soft. She kissed me gently as if I would break under her touch. Our first kiss only lasted a second but oh hot damn that was a glorious second.
Olivia pulled away from me completely this time. I looked down into her beautiful eyes and she winked at me, a huge smile on her face.
"Goodnight, Dee."
"G'night, Liv." I blinked, still wrapping my mind around the kiss. She laughed at me and then raced into her house. I smiled and stuck my hands into my pockets.
I may have tripped down the stairs.
