School became something that I could just push to the back of my mind. I have a loving girlfriend who is the center of my universe and keeps me alive. Every moment with her is a new experience, one that I am sure to never forget.

Today was Wednesday and, as promised, I was taking Liv along with me to meet Henry.

Liv had her hand clasped strongly in mine, never letting me go. We decided to take public transport to stay away of my mother's judgemental eyes. I could see the hospital as the bus rounded the corner.

"So," I felt Liv shift in her seat to lean closer to me. "Tell me more about Henry."

"Well, he likes pie." I shrugged, my voice weak from worrying about my brother. I could tell that Liv was trying to take my mind off of my constant worrying.

"I'll have to bake him one." Liv kisses my temple, the action softening her voice.

"He'd like that." I rested my head on her shoulder. She placed her's ontop of mine. A silent tear ran down my cheek and faded away on her shirt sleeve.

"Hey bro." I sat in the chair beside Henry's bed after I kissed his cheek. Liv hasn't said a word since we got off the bus. He looks the same as he did two days before the accident. I don't really know how but he does.

"Liv, this is my brother Henry. Henry, this is my girlfriend Olivia, Liv for short." I patted the back of his hand that wasn't completely covered with medical equipment.

"Hello, Henry." Liv finally spoke, but I could barely hear her.

"Has Gabs been taking good care of you lately? I see she shaved your mug recently." I couldn't help but reach out and place my hand on his cheek, feeling no trace of the stubble that was there last week. "I think she like likes you. She always has a little sparkle in her eye when she checks up on you. You need to hurry and wake up. A woman as beautiful as Gabs won't be single for long."

Liv placed her hands upon my shoulders as I felt my body tremble.

"She's been waiting for y-you to wake up f-for so long now," I hiccuped. "S-so you can t-take her on a date."

"Dee." Liv whispered into my ear.

"So you n-need to get y-your ass up. R-rig-right now. Please," I fell foward, burying my face into his side. "I miss you. I m-miss you s-s-so fuc-fucking much!"

"Dee." Liv rubbed her hands along my shoulders and my back. "Baby, just let it out." She leaned foward to place her face into my neck. "Let that pain out. You've been strong for too long."

After I had cried my eyes out in front of Liv and all over Henry's side, I took Liv over to the nurse's station.

"Hello, Miss Williams," the nurse at the counter, Paloma, greeted me. "Gabs is in the break room around the corner."

"Thank you, ma'am," I replied politely and led Liv over to the break room down the hall.

As Liv was about to open the door, it swung toward us so quickly that I jumped back.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," Gabs' sweet smile calmed me back down. "Hi there sugar! How's my sweet gal doin' today?" She enveloped me into a hug and her nice perfume flooded my nose.

"We're doing good, Gabs," I returned her hug. "I brought Liv around to meet Henry."

Gabs turned her attention to my girlfriend and gave her a hug as well. Liv stood there for a second, shocked, but she returned the hug as well. It was hard to turn down a hug from the sweet woman.

"It's nice to finally get to meet you, honey," Gabs patted Liv on her hand. "I'm Gabriella, or Gabs for short."

"The pleasure's all mine, Gabs. I've been waiting to meet the nurse that's been taking such good care of Henry." Liv replied, a huge smile on her face.

We all walked back down to Henry's room.

"Well, sugar, I've got some news for you." Gabs whispered after she closed the door to his room. "I think he might be waking is really soon, sooner than I thought." she walked over to his bed and carded her fingers through his hair. "Any day now, in fact."

"Gabs! That's amazing!" I exclaimed. "The signs are that good?" Liv grasped my hand in hers.

"Yes baby. They're better than they've ever been."
