##### Memory 2 #####

Part 5 :

Professor Snape saw Harry and Ronald Weasley visit Hermione Granger and put in some new flowers because the old ones had wilted away. He could see Ronald missed the Granger, ha had a crush on the girl after all. Harry wasn't there on his own, but didn't utter one word, he just quietly stood and watched how the other boy reacted.

Harry pulled the thin hospital bed sheet cover over the Granger girl, when he noticed that the girl had clutched a piece of parchment and surmised that - that was the reason why Hermione had been in the Library.

As the two boys walked Harry read the parchment aloud, it was information about a Serpent Creature. The creature known as the Basilisk. It was well known that a Basilisk could kill you with it's eyes and only when the Basilisk had his second eyelids down could you look at it.

The question was, why was none of the students dead? An even simpler answer was thought of because none of them had seen the Serpents eyes directly.

Colin had seen it through his camera, it burned out his film after all.

Justin had seen the snake through the ghost, Nearly Headless Nick. Nearly Headless Nick was in front of Justin as they were both petrified.

Nearly Headless Nick was already dead and couldn't be dead again, for nobody could die twice.

Hermione saw the Serpent through her mirror and got petrified because of it. She must have heared something and the clever girl she was figured she would look through her mirror what it was, but she must have looked straight into the Basilisk's eyes.

But there was one more, no one ever figured out what had killed her, a girl that had died fifty years ago and never left, she stayed in the place that she died in, the girls bathroom - known as Myrtle' s bathroom. Yes, Myrtle was the Serpents first ever kill

All students were to immediately return to their house dorms for the school was on lockdown. But Harry and Ronald Weasley never listen and went to where all the teachers had gathered together.

Professor Snape sneered as Lockhart appeared and asked what had happened. He saw himself as he once again sneered and gave his famous sneer to the idiotic man with an ego as big if not bigger than Hogwarts. Then he drawled in his monotone voice ' A child had been taken, a girl this is your chance'. If you had looked into Memory Snape's eyes you would have seen the mockery and contempt in his onyx eyes clearly. 'The chance to show everyone how great you are'. The sneer never left his face nor the mockery.

So the memory went as the Idiot spoke of all he did, when Minerva McGonagall mentioned that it was Ginevera Weasley that was taken. One of her precious new Lions, a little First year.

Ronald was terrified, his mother was going to murder them, her sweet little Ginny was taken by the Serpent and now missing. Her Only little girl.

But Ronald Weasley was a coward and froze, he didn't want to face a 10 foot something snake that took his little baby sister and could kill them all in an instant. No it was better to leave and not once look back. He turned around and walked away to go to their common room, leaving poor Harry all alone, his 'best mate' to face everything alone and maybe be killed as well.

Professor Snape bristled at that, what a good friend that red headed fool was to the boy who lived. He left him alone to face a big Basilisk all on his own, his wounds was now all healed and the boy's magic was trying to make him adjust to going back to his ever lasting hell - his home. He shook his head and wondered how did this boy ever survive and what was he going to see in the future? Was it going to be as bad as this or worse???

Questions whirled around in Professor Snape's mind, so many and he had no answers, he so badly wanted answers, only the boy could answer the questions and he knew the boy would be reluctant to answer them all for it was his life and nobody was ever interested in it before.

The memory had not yet ended, he saw as the Raven haired boy, head down turned around and went to talk to Crying Myrtle on his own with out his best friend.
