Supplies

• Breyer horse or any other brand of model horse.
• Acrylic Paint
• Paintbrushes (different sizes)
• Sealant (glossy or matte)
• Clear drying nail polish
• Epoxy (optional)
• Toothpicks (goes with epoxy)
• Hair Dryer or Hot (not boiling) water (also optional)
• Small cup of water.
• GLITTER GLITTER GLITTER (glitter paint works better)
• Imagination :)

Step 1: Resculpting

Epoxy comes in a little tube, and is usually a tan color. People usually use it for fixing nail holes in walls, small holes in tables, or even leaks in roofs. You only want to buy the putty kind, otherwise you will end up with a huge mess. Ok with that out of the way, let's begin!!!

This is the horse I'm using

Make a flat pancake of epoxy in the general shape of the mane, forelock, and tail of the model. (Make sure that you play with the epoxy before applying it to the model! There is a green substance in the middle, and that's what makes it harden later!) Btw epoxy smells like dog food I don't know why lol.

Then, here comes the fun part! Take a toothpick and draw in the strands of the mane! You have to do this kinda fast because the epoxy is starting to harden.

If there are parts that don't blend, take a small amount of water, and blend it in. (The pic will make more sense trust me!)

Then, do the same for the tail! I added a little thingy around her tail cuz I can.

Make sure that if you have parts hanging off (like the tail) that you pick it up a lot while it's drying, so that it doesn't stick to the surface that it's on. Also, if the epoxy gets warm, don't worry it's just hardening.

The package says that it is ready to paint within an hour or so, but I like to wait overnight just to be sure.

And this is my final result! Yay! I can't wait to paint her. Btw for the horn, I took the toothpick and cut it in half, then I put a little epoxy on it and BAM you got a horn.
