Virgil held Brian's laptop to his chest protectively. Brian was smart. The laptop had the hell beaten out of it and had a cover made out of the jumpsuit material so if anyone saw the boys, they'd simply think they were carrying dirty laundry.
Roman had yet to say anything on their, what felt like, long walk to Brian's cell while being closely monitored by the guards outside every door.
"I don't miss this." Roman whispered, hardly even audible to Virgil's ear in which he was whispering into.
Virgil smirked, "That's for sure- I don't think I'll miss anything."
Roman nodded in agreement as they neared Brian's cell.
The only thing that separated Brian's cellblock from everyone else's was that there were no guards outside of it.
One of Brian's most skillful tactics was black mail, which he easily used against the guards along with the prisoners. It could only get him as far as benefits, not complete freedom. For that, there was the plan...
The plan that was almost set in motion.
Virgil stopped at the cellblock door, well out of earshot if anyone, the thick stone meaning that included Brian and Camden who resided inside, presumably, "Tonight..." He whispered.
"Tonight." Roman repeated with a nod.
Virgil paused to look back at Roman, "What're we um...What're we going to do?"
"What are...we going to do? As in all of us or-"
"You and me." Virgil blinked.
Roman frowned, "...Hope for the best, I suppose..."
"The best?" Virgil furrowed his brow.
"I..." Roman looked at his feet, "Virgil I don't love you...you know that...not anymore, at least...not right now...I used to smile, every time I saw you but...I just.." Roman shook his head.
Virgil bit his lip to fight back tears but shook his head, "No, it's okay...it's...not your fault. But.." His face fixed into a more confident one, "We're going to fix you, okay?"
Roman sighed, "Okay.."
"We have to..."

Virgil stared at the ceiling of the cellblock he shared with Roman.
He should have gotten sleep- he'd need it for tonight. But...how could he?
God, he loved Roman too much.
That theatre kid that had sung his way into Virgil's heart...
Virgil was never going to be able to listen to the Phantom songs again without being launched into some serious PTSD.
Virgil furrowed his brow.
This was going to work out.
It had to.
And that's when his drawing pen began to blink.
When giving the laptop to Brian, he'd given Virgil a small alarm that could he attached anywhere to flash when it was time for the plan to go under way. Virgil chose his pen- which was now flashing.
"Wake up." Virgil whispered to Roman.
"Never fell asleep in the first place." Roman whispered back.
This figured. Virgil shrugged and sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the bed.
This felt exciting- like when you wake up early to get into the car and go on a road trip and it's all energy and pure hype.
Virgil had nothing to lose but Roman. And this trip was going to fix that.
So this was fine.
Totally fine.
"Let's go." Virgil smirked with a specific glint in his eyes. A plan.
He leapt down, landing in a squat and popping back up, turning around and holding out a hand for Roman.
Roman nodded and gave him a high five.
"No, you-" Virgil sighed, "Never mind." He turned to the door and jogged to it, being unlocked as Brian promised. He heaved it open, "Ladies first." He winked at Roman.
"But or course." Roman rolled his eyes and strode out of the cell before waiting for Virgil.
Virgil look a last look at their cell.
Some part of him felt sad to leave it- even if he hated it- but this feeling only lasted for a few seconds before he let go of the door, gravity taking place in shutting it slowly.
"What now?" Roman looked to Virgil.
"Now...we go get Tom and Lea."
***
Lea traced a finger over Tom's scarred face from where he laid next to the boy on the bottom bunk, caressing the cheek with a happy hum.
"What?" Tom chuckled.
"You're beautiful." Lea sighed.
Tom's face turned bright red, "E-Excuse me? That's- really blunt... especially for you."
"Yeah, no, that took a lot out of me." Lea grinned.
"Why that word though?"
"What? Beautiful?"
Tom nodded, "Have you seen my face?"
Lea smiled, "Have you?"
Tom bit his lip slightly, that of which was there, before laughing and turning onto his back as he broke out into hysterics.
Lea sat up, supporting himself on his elbow, "What?"
"I'm just...really happy...and scared." He looked up at Lea.
Lea cocked an eyebrow, "First part is good- what's wrong with the second part?"
Tom frowned suddenly after catching his breath, "I- just don't want you to Uh...to lose, you know-"
"I'm not taking that reversal." Lea stated. The fact that his sunglasses were on his head helped with this seriousness of his gaze.
"How could you not? Lea, you-"
"You heard what Virgil said- it could erase my memories, remember? Plus, Tom, do you even want me t-"
"No. No, not at all." Tom reached up to caress Lea's cheek, "I don't care if it's selfish but I just...I want you, painful memories and all, I just want you and I don't want to lose that. The whole reason I'm in this mess of a prison is because my heart couldn't find its place. Now it has, and..." Tom paused as Lea moved to curl up into the crook of Tom's arm, "I'm not risking losing that."
"You won't, I promise- I don't want to forget you." Lea pressed against Tom.
"You're such an interesting case, Lea R." Tom sighed, "I cant figure you out."
"We'll have plenty of time for that soon as we're out of here." Lea looked up at Tom.
Tom beamed, "Yeah?"
"Mhm." Lea closed his eyes, "We can retire on a nice farm."
"Who are you and what have you done with my boyfriend?" Tom chuckled.
Lea winced, "Boyfriend sounds childish."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah."
"What would you prefer?" Tom rolled onto his side so he and Lea were facing each other.
"I don't know." Lea reached a hand forward to brush a stray hair behind Tom's ear.
"Well, tell me about the farm house." Tom whispered, as if talking about it too loud would make it untrue. Thankfully, this wasn't Of Mice and Men.
"By a lake...a cottage, I think, where we can go fishing and have a truck." Lea grinned.
Tom tried to contain a wide smile at how happy the other sounded, "A truck?"
"A blue one- or maybe a red one...or a blue red one." Lea said this like a child.
"Sounds perfect.."
"And we can get rocking chairs for the porch so we can grow old there and...we can be happy- and I can take your last name as my first and switch 'em around and we can forget about it all." Lea commented wistfully.
Tom's mouth went dry, "Y-Yeah?"
"What? Did you want something else?" Lea squinted curiously.
"No, no, it's just- do you mean this?" Tom sat up to sit on the bed.
"Every word." Lea sat up, his eyes solidly looking at Tom as if they could will fact into everything he had said, "Tom, I-"
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Tom whispered.
Lea's face went beet red, "I- um, I'd like that- I'd really like that."
"I don't want to think about being with someone else ever. Nobody's going to beat you, Lea, nobody." Tom felt his heart swell a bit and his limbs grow tingly, "I love you. A lot, so much, like- it's insane how much I love you."
"Oh.." This was all Lea could get out as he was in too much of a happy, flustered state to process anything. He smiled, "That's nice- oh- I meant to say I love you too. Totally." He tried to put on a cool facade.
"You're perfect." Tom breathed shakily.
Lea felt like jelly. He could only be so cool for so long before this boy had him at his will.
"I don't want anyone else either." Lea swallowed to a dry mouth.
Tom smiled widely and this made Lea smile shyly.
Shy. This kid was making him feel shy.
"God.." Lea whispered, "God, you're-"
"I'm?" Tom chuckled.
Lea's eyes darted up to look at Tom's eyes with a round look, "Tom, will you mar-"
"Sup bITCHES!" Virgil kicked the door open.
Lea scrambled away from Tom with a curt cough of surprise as Tom bore daggers into Virgil's soul with his eyes, "I swear to god I'm going to actually murder you and dance on your grave."
"Fun!" Virgil winked at Tom, "Let's go!"
Lea looked up at Tom who's shoulders sagged.
Lea mouthed the word later with a wink and Tom grew all bubbly inside again.
***
The group of boys huddled outside Brian's cell as they waited for the Tania to come out.
Finally, a creak came from the door and Valery, Terrance, Camden, and finally, Brian, walked out.
Brian looked over the group, "Ready?"
"One thing." Virgil piped up, "Don't forget, we're stopping at the facility on our way out."
"That was part of the deal, wasn't it?" Brian smirked.
Tom and Lea gave Virgil a suspicious glance as they laced their fingers together protectively of one another and to ward away any fear.
Virgil wished he could do the same with Roman, who stood no less than a few inches away.
Brian turned to face everyone, "We've got this. Is everyone ready?"
The group nodded and a few words of confirmation were made.
"Now," Brian turned back to the cell, opening the door and nodding to Camden, who held the door open.
The group clustered around the door to watch.
Brian moved to the bunk bed and kicked it away with a lithe leg, the bed that was no lighter than your average chair, careening away to reveal a hole in the floor. Brian reached in and grabbed some fire arms and weaponry.
Some machine guns, some pistols, some crossbows, and more.
"Take your pick." Brian smirked.
Virgil winced along with Tom and Roman.
Theatre kids weren't big fans of guns from where they were.
However, considering their current situation...this would have to do.
Virgil grabbed a pistol.
Roman grabbed a crossbow.
Lea just winked- and gave a thumbs up, making a biting motion and turning away from the weapons.
Tom looked concerned.
The rest grabbed an assortment of the options.
"On my mark," Brian murmured as they exited the cell, "The guards are out for another fifteen minutes- but that's it- this should hold them off...and cover up any...unpleasant sounds." He said as he typed on his computer, "Ready..." He hit enter, "Go!" Old Town Roads began blaring from all ends of the prison, to the point where hardly anything else could be heard.
"Jesus Christ.." Virgil instantly regretted his life choices.
The remaining guards on separate floors left to take care of the ruckus.
The group of prisoners sprinted down the hall and down the stairs- some nearly falling but catching themselves and continuing. Brian's lengthy legs made it easier for him to take the stairs down two-by-two.
It was beyond Virgil how people took the stairs down two-by-two. This hardly mattered though as as soon as they reached the ground level, they were in open exposure and had to run to the other end of the lot of concrete.
"Fast!" Brian yelled over the music.
The group stayed close as they sprinted across.
They nearly made it before a guard yelled for backup and three of them came running at the boys.
"Keep going!" Brian yelled, "Valery, Terrance, take care of them!"
Virgil watched as the two broke from the group and stood back to back, pistol and machine-gun at the ready.
"Aim.." Valery whispered as they circled with the guards slowly closing in on them with tasers.
"Fire!" Terrance declared.
Virgil looked away but heard the splattering of blood. He held back vomit and grew pale.
"Hey!" Roman yelled towards Virgil, though this was still quiet compared to the music. He took Virgil's hand, "It's okay."
Virgil gripped Roman's hand tightly.
Neither of them liked this.
Within a few minutes, Valery and Terrance had caught back up and were pulling up the rear.
"Halt!" A booming voice came from ahead and the boys and girl bumped into each other as they stopped with a group of seven guards ahead of them.
Brian growled, "You're not winning this! Give it up!"
The guards advanced.
"Seven of them, seven of us- let's go!" Brian yelled back at his team.
Virgil gripped Roman's hand tighter as they fell to the back.
Brian aimed his pistol at the guards and began firing as the others took shelter behind some metal support-beams.
Valery and Camden took turns flirting back and forth before two guard were shot down.
A third guard advanced towards Brian who quickly shot him down with a pistol.
Blood poured from the bodies and began to pool down the hall.
Virgil looked down as the sticky substance touched his shoe and he clung to Roman.
"It's okay- it's okay, Virgil, look at me,"
Virgil began to hyperventilate and freeze up. He couldn't do this.
He couldn't do this.
He couldn't-
Roman grabbed his face with two hand and shoved it to his own face. Their lips were less than an inch apart, "Trust me. I'll keep you safe. Some part of me...can't lose you. I can't lose you."
Virgil felt a leap in his chest and he nodded shakily, "O-Okay."
A few more shots sounded until only one guard stood left.
There was a gasp of pain and Tom fell back, hitting the ground with a groan as he'd been fired at.
"You bastard!" Lea lunged at the guard who'd shot and pummeled him to the ground. He thundered him with fists of rage until his face was turned to a bloody pulp.
Lea grabbed him by the shirt and snarled in his face, "I swear to god I'll kill you-" He let him go, "Slowly." He stood up and kicked the guard right in the throat before turning back to Tom.
Both boys were covered in blood.
By now, Camden had rushed to Tom's assistance.
"He was actually studying to be a nurse." Brian hummed, not caring one way or another if Tom was alright, though warily looking at Lea who nearly pushed last Camden.
"He's helping." Roman murmured to Lea who broke down beside Tom.
Tom groaned in pain.
Camden paused before taking off the sleeve of Tom's jumper, "This'll sting a bit." A tore the fabric as it slickly pulled against the wound, blood having quickly stuck the fabric to it.
Tom screamed out in pain and Lea grabbed his hand, tightly squeezing it with glazed eyes.
Camden felt the wound and Tom screamed again.
"You're hurting him." Lea glared., preparing to do to Camden what he did to the guard.
"I'm getting a diagnosis, actually." Camden glared back, turning to Tom, "It's just a graze- but it's enough to act like the pain of a very, very large paper cut...rubbed with alcohol and lemon."
Everyone grimaced.
"I need something to cut off some of the circulation so he doesn't bleed ou-"
Lea tore off his sleeve immediately and handed it to Camden.
"That'll do." Camden blinked before tightly wrapping the sleeve around Tom's arm.
Tom gasped in pain before sighing as some of it cleared, though grimacing as not all of it had.
"I don't know how I feel about guns anymore." Virgil swallowed dryly, still feeling light-headed at the sight of blood.
"Here." Brian slid another one to Virgil, "It's a tranq. I'll double with my pistol and yours and you can use my tranq, sound good?"
Virgil picked it up hesitantly- but it did sound good. So, he took it.
Tom gripped his arm with another groan of pain.
Camden swatted at his hand, "Don't touch it."
"It hurts though." Tom pouted.
"You got grazed by a bullet, of course it hurts." Camden rolled his eyes and stood up.
"Let's go." Brian nodded down the hall, "Won't be long before reinforcements arrive."
The others nodded in agreement and Lea scooped Tom up to his feel, slinging an arm around the other so he could support him while he walked.
"Thanks." Tom smiled at Lea.
Lea gave a small nod, and that was it.
Virgil turned to Roman who nodded at him and they followed the others.
"The facility will be no more than a few yards ahead- you need to make this quick." Brian barked back at Virgil.
Virgil looked at Roman, then back at Brian, "Got it!"
They jogged down the hall and Virgil was thankful he no longer got asthma attacks like he did when he was a kid.
They came to a slow trot as they reached the facility doors, pausing around the corner that led to them.
"There are two guards on watch and who knows how many people inside." Brian whispered, "Virgil, Roman, you'll go in with Camden and Lea. They'll serve as your backup, got it?"
"No way am I-" Lea was interrupted by Brian cocking his gun.
"This plan has been set. We're not changing it. If you can't do a simple thing such as act as backup, then you're nothing but dead weight," Brian pointed the gun at Lea, "And we don't need dead weight."
Lea took a step back.
Tom staggered forward, "L-Let me go in with them then."
Virgil glared at Tom, "You're hurt."
"That gunshot will give away your position if you shoot me." Lea growled.
"So? That'll just draw them over here and we can take them down from around a corner- in fact...that might work better." Brian held the gun steady.
Lea narrowed his eyes before scowling, "Whatever. Let's just get this over with- but only if Tom is coming in."
"We can't send five people-"
"Then send four. We don't need Camden if we already have three others- even with Tom injured." Lea shrugged.
Brian sent a look at Virgil.
Virgil shook his head slowly before nodding to the door, "Let's just do this before we run out of time."
"Go. We'll cover you." Brian and the other three took positions.
Virgil struck out with his tranq, shooting the two guards so they fell silently.
Roman looked surprised.
"Look." Virgil nodded to a button beside them. It was an emergency lockdown for the lab, "Couldn't risk the gunshots sending one of them hitting it." He jogged forward to the door and took one of the guard's clearance badges, swiping it in a slot next to the doors to the lab so that they opened.
The four pressed to the sides of the wall before entering.
Upon entering, there was an obnoxiously white tunnel that led to another set of doors.
They moved forward cautiously until they reached the second set of doors and Virgil swiped them open again.
Tom used his good hand to hold onto Lea's, giving it an affectionate squeeze.
Roman flexed his hand before looking at Virgil's. He didn't act on the impulse.
Virgil paused before completing the swipe, "Ready?"
The other three nodded.
"Then fuck our humanity." Virgil finished the swipe and the doors swung open. He cocked his tranq and spread out across a blue and white room with a number of people in white lab coats and blouses. He began rapid fire shooting them down.
Roman prepped his crossbow and winced before shooting at people's feet to corner them.
Lea moved to protect Tom from any stray debris.
"Wait-!" The second to last person gasped before falling to the ground.
The last standing engineer raised her hands up.
Virgil pointed the tranq at them.
"P-Please don't shoot!" The engineer pleaded.
"What's your name?" Virgil ordered, eyes growing cold as he squinted.
"M-My name? My name is CJ." CJ swallowed nervously.
"Okay, CJ, this'll be simple for you. You're going to help us, okay?" Virgil cocked his head.
CJ clenched her fists to ignore her nerves, "How can I help you?" She frowned.
"You can reverse the damage you've done to patient 19 1 14 4 5 18 19." Virgil glared.
The girl paled, "You..." She pointed to Roman.
Roman glared at her.
"Or I shoot." Virgil growled.
"It's a tranq, it won't kill me." She scoffed.
"That's where you're wrong," Virgil paused, "Check their pulse."
CJ stiffened.
Virgil nodded the gun towards one of the lifeless bodies, "Go on."
She slowly felt the pulse of one of her peers and immediately let go when she couldn't find any, "Y-You're a monster!"
"Likewise." Virgil sneered.
"Virgil...what the hell.." Tom whispered.
Virgil paid no attention to him, "I can assure you, I'll shoot if you don't comply."
The engineer shook her head a bit before going to the main frame.
"You need to reverse the damage." Virgil neared her.
"Th-that's dangerous- it could have some serious consequences- memory loss from so little to entirely!" CJ exclaimed.
"So?" Virgil growled, "Do it."
She sighed and began flipping a few switches, "It'll take a minute to start up..."
"I think we've done enough here, we can wait by the entrance.." Tom murmured from behind Lea who was glaring at Virgil.
"No." Virgil kept the tranq towards the engineer.
"Done! Now, get him into the chamber, attach one of the bonds to him and get out of there. I'll hit the operation button," CJ hovered her hand over the button, "Then the process will begin. It should take a total of two minutes, then-"
"Thank you." Virgil took the back of the gun and smashed it over CJ's head.
She fell to the ground in a heap.
"Virgil!" Roman looked in horror.
A look of guilt flashed across his face before he turned the gun on Lea, "You're going in with Roman."
"Excuse me?" Lea scoffed.
"Go." Virgil nodded to a white door that led to the white room, windows observing it above the mainframe.
"Virgil what the hell!" Tom yelled.
"Don't act like this is a surprise," Virgil rolled his eyes, "Do you think any of this would have happened if you'd have entered our lives in the first place?"
"You can't blame me for everything! I know I did fucked up things, but-!"
"You tried to kill him!" Virgil choked on his words, "I can't- I'm not losing him again."
"Why does this matter? What does Lea's memory have to do with Roman's?" Tom snarled.
"I made a deal with Brian." Virgil sighed shakily.
Lea scowled, "Of course."
"I told him about Lea being Remy." Virgil narrowed his eyes as Lea stiffened and grabbed Tom's hand, "And in exchange for taking us here, I'd have to repair Lea's memories, then Brian doesn't have anyone to threaten him."
The group went quiet.
"Virgil, this isn't right...you just killed people.." Roman whispered.
"No, actually, they're not dead," Virgil shrugged, "Extremely strong poison- slows the pulse for an hour, but won't kill them. They just won't wake up until we're gone...except maybe her," He nodded to the unconscious engineer, "She might wake up sooner- I didn't want to shoot her regardless."
Lea looked at the ground, "And what happens if I don't?"
Virgil took in a shaky breath, "Roman won't come with us- he'll live, but won't be with us."
"You'll be separated?" Lea was struggling to not fall to the ground with how weak he felt.
Virgil nodded.
"Virgil.." Roman approached him, "This isn't you.."
"And how would you know?" A few tears dropped from Virgil's face.
Roman flinched but continued until he was beside Virgil, "Just stop.." He put a hand over the shaking one of Virgil's and held the side of it.
Virgil shook as Roman rubbed a thumb over his hand. He released the gun and let it fall to the ground before falling into Roman arms, "I-I just want you back.."
Roman stiffened at the physical contact, discomforted by it, "I know.." He patted Virgil's head, "But maybe this is for the best- maybe if we're not around each other.."
Virgil shifted away from Roman, "Then we won't hurt each other." He finished the sentence with a sigh.
There was silence for awhile as the boys looked at each other.
"I'll do it." Lea stepped forward.
"Excuse me?" Tom scoffed.
"You think Brian won't leave me too if he finds out I still don't have my mind back?" Lea frowned at Tom.
"B-But you said- you promised!" Tears pricked at the corners of Tom's eyes.
"I can't lose you. I'm not losing you." Lea actresses Tom's cheek.
Tom pressed the hand to his cheek firmly before glaring at Virgil, "This is your fault."
"I know." Virgil nodded, "We've both changed, haven't we?" He tried a small smile, not a fond one, more of a crooked, guilty one, full of regret.
"Yeah...yeah, we have." Tom replied dryly.
"Let's go." Roman nodded to Lea and headed for the door.
"You're dead if anything happens to him." Tom growled at Virgil.
"You'll be doing me a favor if it means something happens to Roman too." Virgil murmured as he headed for the mainframe.
Tom hovered over him as Virgil waited to watch Lea and Roman attach themselves to one of the binds.
After doing so, they gave a thumbs up.
Virgil sighed shakily before hitting the button.
The bonds straightened up and and something shot out from them, landing on each of the boys' foreheads. It seemed to have a needle of the end of it as it stuck and soon both boys were on the ground with a gasp before passing out.
Tom grimaced as he watched them both writhe around.
"I...hope he remembers.." Virgil whispered.
"Lea was perfect.." Tom murmured back quietly, "And if you remove his memories..."
"I'm dead, I know." Virgil grumbled.
The writhing stopped after a bit and both fell to the ground.
A green light flashed at the corner of the mainframe:
Seminar Completed
Tom quickly made his way for the door that entered the testing room and swung it open, jogging to Lea and standing before him, "Lea..?"
No answer.
Tom choked back a sob before shaking his head and kneeling down, grabbing his lover's wrist and feeling for a pulse. He held his breath until he caught a faint one, sighing with relief, "They're ali-" he began to yell back up but found Virgil crumpled beside Roman's side, holding him tightly, "Is he okay?" Tom began to panic.
Virgil nodded, "H-He's alive- let's go." He scooped Roman up bridal stile, flicking away the short needle from his head and hoisting him up over his shoulder.
"Wow, who knew." Tom scoffed before taking the shorter boy before him and flicking away his needle as well, then hoisting him up over his shoulder.
The two carried their other out of the testing chamber, into the lab, and then down the hall. They hesitated before the final set of doors.
"Okay.." Virgil sighed shakily.
Tom said nothing.
They swung the doors open.
Brian looked up from where he and the others sat at the ready around the corner, poking out.
Brian cocked an eyebrow as if to ask a question.
Virgil nodded, "As far as we know, it worked."
"Let's get on with it then." Brian signaled for them to continue.
Camden moved behind Virgil Should Roman fall, while Valery and Terrance offered to carry Lea with Tom's hurt shoulder.
Tom wheezed, "N-No, nope, you asses tricked us once before, I'm not letting him go."
"It had to be done, Tom." Virgil panted.
"We were happy! Our happiness didn't have to be risked for your potential happiness!"
"He went willingly." Virgil rolled his eyes.
"After you threatened to shoot him!" Tom hissed.
"Both our significant others are passed out if you hadn't noticed, so stop acting like you're the victim." Virgil narrowed his eyes.
"What happened to you?" Tom fell back to jog beside Virgil with judgmental look, "I know you've always been angsty but you never intentionally caused damage to someone-"
"I strangled Roman's father, so I don't think so." Virgil corrected.
"-Never to people who didn't deserve it." Tom huffed.
"Those scientists-"
"Were doing their job." Tom finished Virgil's statement.
Virgil fell silent before looking at the ground, "He had a little brother, you know, Lea?"
"He- Wh...what?" Tom slowed down.
Virgil followed.
"No, he would have...mentioned that..." Tom squinted at the ground in confusion, "Why wouldn't he tell me..?"
"It's probably painful." Virgil sighed.
"Painful?"
Virgil chose his words carefully, "He's dead...and, they used that as a trigger- not his brother, his name, connected to his family, his home, his life- you didn't see the videos that I saw, you didn't hear the screams, Tom- I made that deal because I thought that it would be what was best for Lea...to forget..." Virgil paused, "And for Roman to forget me."
"What?" Tom's eyes widened.
"If he remembers me- that's wonderful, but if he doesn't...maybe that's for the best, it's not like he loved me- not anymore.." Virgil's voice grew quieter.
"Of course he loved you!" Tom practically yelled.
"Excuse me?" Virgil laughed, "Did you see how much it hurt him to see me?"
"Did you see how much it hurt him to not?" Tom cocked an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" Virgil frowned.
"He wanted to hold your hand on multiple occasions, he's been way too close to you- he blushed, Virgil, blushed when you two were pressed up against each other in the corner earlier when we were hiding from those guards. He loves you, Virgil, deep down...he knows it..." Tom paused to get a tighter grip on Lea, "And deep down...Lea will know too..."
"He.." Virgil shook slightly and nearly dropped Roman before Camden steadied the body.
"You two need to stick together...you have to. If he remembers you or not- he needs you and you need him...and I need Lea. And that's why I'm afraid of Lea losing his memory...I need him-" Tom was about to be interrupted by Virgil but he continued, "But...Lea didn't need those memories."
Virgil nodded slightly.
"Doesn't mean I still won't kill you if he doesn't remember me." Tom was dead serious.
"I hope he does.." Virgil murmured.
Tom's face faded into a broken expression, "For your sake, I hope so too. He's my anchor- and without him," He glances at Virgil with a slight glare, anger reassumed, "I cant promise I won't repeat your Junior year."
Virgil shuttered.
He'd messed up- this wasn't right...it wouldn't be unless these two got their memories back. And if they didn't, it would be because of Virgil.
"We're almost to the parking structure!" Brian called, "Keep your arms at the ready!"
Virgil moves to only hold Roman up with one hand, by the waist, Tom doing the same with Lea, both boys panting at the effort.
"I wish I could get my memory erased right about now.." Virgil grumbled.
The wide gated that led to the parking garage were up ahead, wide open as Brian had planned it.
"Almost! Get read-" Brian was interrupted as an alarm sounded and the gate to the structure began to close, "Shit!" He cursed, "Go! Go! Go!"
The group ran faster, Tom and Virgil lagging with the extra weight.
Brian reached the door first and began waving people in.
Valery and Terrance were next and finally Camden.
The door continued to close.
"Come on!" Brian yelled to the two boys carrying the dead weight, "Leave them if you have to!" He growled.
Terrance and Valery gasped.
"You can't leave them!" Valery frowned.
"They're together!" Terrance agreed.
Brian scowled and got his computer out, trying to override the gate but being unable to, "Its not being over rode!"
Terrance and Valery looked at each other and shared a nod before dashing back out the door that was getting closer to shutting.
"What are you doing!" Brian yelled but kept typing on his computer, frantically trying to keep the door open.
Terrance ran for Roman and Virgil and Valery ran for Tom and Lea.
Terrance held the back of Roman while Virgil held the front and they ran towards the gate.
Valery made the same move, assisting in carrying Lea.
"Come on!" Brian looked up with genuine worry as the gate only had five feet left before it shut, and titanium was difficult to break through.
They sprinted towards the gate, slowed by the extra weight.
Valery, Tom, and the carried Lea, leapt through the now four feet.
Virgil panted, nearly there before he slipped and fell on his face, Roman being tossed to the side.
Virgil groaned in pain before it seemed to click in his mind that he couldn't stay here. He limped to his feet and went for Roman, Terrance already heaving him to the ground.
Virgil gasped when he put pressure on his ankle and looked down to see that it had turned purple- snapped tendon. He let out a small scream of pain but continued to limp.
Terrance threw Roman's body to Valery, the gate at two feet now, barely enough room for one person.
"Come on!" Terrance ran at Virgil before scooping him up over the shoulder, he ran at the gate at full speed and then chucked Virgil through the gate, Virgil landing harshly on Brian who caught him swiftly.
"Terrance!" Valery screamed as the gate reached one foot.
Terrance reached and arm through but it was already under a foot. He couldn't squeeze through.
Valery grabbed his hand and squeezed.
"Do better, Val." Terrance whispered before pulling his arm back through, the gate shutting closed.
Valery screamed and fell against the door, turning wildly to Brian, "We have to go back!"
Brian helped Virgil up and supported him begrudgingly with one arm, "We can't. That's the only safe way in and out and-"
And gun shot was heard and something thunked against the gate on the other side.
Valery shook violently.
"Come on- they should be one ramp down, let's go.." Camden helped Valery up and let the girl fall onto his shoulder hopelessly.
"Camden, I know she needs comforting but we've still got one unconscious and I have to help this one with his snapped tendon." Brian sighed, looking sympathetically at Camden.
Camden nodded slowly before placing his chin on Valery's head in a platonically affectionate way, then moving to take Roman and swing him over his shoulder, huffing at the sudden added weight on his shoulder.
Valery got to her feet and sniffled but said no more.
Brian kept an arm around Virgil and Virgil an arm around Brian so he could walk- Brian didn't seem at all happy about this and the awkwardness didn't make Virgil feel any better about it.
As a beaten, battered team, they were now in the parking structure of the facility and limping down a ramp row of cars, turning a corner to head down another ramp.
"Almost there..." Brian huffed, picking up the pace, causing Virgil to yelp in pain at the sudden increase in movement.
"What does the getaway car look like?" Camden inquired.
"Its a minivan." Virgil corrected.
Camden blinked in surprise, "We're leaving this place in a minivan?"
"We have eight-" Virgil paused, "Seven people, plus the drivers, that's nine. Even with that, someone's going to have to ride without a seatbelt- especially considering two of us are unconscious, they'll need to lay down or they'll get some serious whiplash."
Camden sighed, "Well, it's something."
"That's right, she is!" A giggly voice came from down the row before it gasped, "Oh my dogs, look at you all!" Patton ran at them from his van.
Brian began to cock a gun.
"It's him, it's okay." Virgil quickly said.
Brian nodded slowly, cautiously, then put the gun back.
Patton gasped, stopped a few feet away from them, "Well...you all are quite the beaten crew- well, let's go, good ol' Mr.Ben will get you all patched up!"
"Who's Ben?" Camden frowned.
"Right there!" Patton pointed to his cant
"The van has a name...of course." Tom snickered.
Patton looked at him with a slightly glare, "Tom.." he greeted.
"Patton." Tom dipped his head, "Long time no see.."
"Hm." Patton nodded before waving them towards the blue minivan perfectly parked in one of the spots, "Pull 'em out, honey!"
There was a pause and then the engine barked to life and the van pulled out into the center of the row, Logan giving a solute versus a wave and then pressing a button above him that opened the back doors.
"Got Mr.Ben all cleaned out of everything just for this occasion- other than snacks and water."
Camden gasped, "Snacks?"
"Oh, just some chocolate chip cookies-"
Camden grinned, "I haven't had chocolate in years!"
"Then you're in for a treat!" Patton giggled happily, "Come on, I'll help y'all in!"
"Valery take the middle, right seat, I'll take the left, Camden you're the right size and strength to sit in the center after we let the two sets of lovers into the back, Lea's small enough to share the middle seat with Roman, Roman can lean on Virgil and Lea can lean on Tom, no whiplash, all good, got it?"
They all murmured a joint agreement.
Brian helped Virgil into the backseat before Tom let himself in next.
Lea was gently put into the back and leaned against Tom while the same was done with Roman and Virgil.
Camden helped Valery into the other side and buckled her in before closing her door shut and going back to the first side and entering to sit in the space between the bucket seats.
Finally, Brian entered through the first side and sat down in his own bucket seat, closing the door shut, "Lock it." He ordered as Patton leapt into the passenger's seat.
"Manners!" Patton gasped.
Brian growled, "Please, we don't have time for this."
"There it is!" Patton locked the doors, "Let's go!"
Logan nodded and turned them so they were going down the structure to the ground level, one ramp down.
Tom sighed in relief before chuckling.
"What?" Virgil cocked an eyebrow.
"We're almost free- and...we're in a car- it's great!" Tom hooted.
The car erupted in cheers that went on until they reached the ground level.
"Quiet down, we're not finished yet." Brian huffed.
"Oh, lighten up, man." Camden chuckled.
"I will as soon as I'm a free man- we're not free yet," Brian grumbled slightly.
"It'll be okay." Valery smiled.
Brian looked at her and his nerves eased. He frowned, "I'm sorry about Terrance..."
"Who's Terrence?" Patton asked from the passenger's seat as they neared the exit of the structure.
Everyone glanced at Valery with a pitiful look.
Valery shook her head as if to tell them that it was okay, "He fought hard- just not hard enough..."
"He died saving me." Virgil murmured.
"Then he's a hero." Patton said this as if it were fact-
and it really was.
This simple phrase caused Valery to let out a small sob before nodding in agreement, "He um- h-he wanted to be buried in a yellow field- he said that um, he wanted that because everywhere you looked...there were no walls...no barriers.." It seemed to help her to share this, "Im going to find a field when this is all over, a big...yellow one..."
Camden put a comforting hand on her knee and smiled.
"I hate to break up the moment- but we have to get past the guard that let us in through the parking structure entrance, so duck down." Logan sighed as he pulled up to a small kiosk with a moveable bar between them and sunlight.
"Sir! Visiting hours ended six hours ago- how long have you been in your car?" The man at the kiosk sputtered.
"You seemed to have answered your own question-" Logan paused, "Six hours. Could you let us through please?"
"I'm sorry, but there's no way I can do that. Some prisoners have gotten loose and we can't let anybody enter or leave...looks like you're stuck here for the night, my apologies." The guard tipped his hat.
Brian cocked his gun.
Valery shook her head before whispering to Patton, "Do you have chips? A big chip bag?"
"This hardly seems appropriate-" Brian growled before Patton interrupted.
"You're not you when you're hungry." Patton quoted and handed the bag back to the ducking Valery.
There was some crinkling while Logan kept the guard busy with conversation, and then a scream from Valery.
"Sir do you have someone back th-"
"I'M GOING INTO LABOR!" Valery screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Jesus Christ!" The guard choked.
"Um- uh- yes, we have to get her to a hospital.." Logan nodded.
The guard shook his head in confusion, "Roll down that window please, I'd like to see this pregnant woman." The guard growled suspiciously.
Virgil shook Brian's shoulder and handed him the tranq, "Patton won't like Mr.Ben to get blood stains- and he will turn this car around, don't kill him." He whispered sharply.
Brian groaned but took the tranq. Just as the guard rolled down the window, Brian shot and hit him in the shoulder.
"Son of a biscuit.." The guard muttered as he fell to the ground, unconscious.
Logan leapt out of the car and to the kiosk, fussing with it to lift the bar.
"Was that really necessary?" Patton gasped at Brian.
"Yeah! Had that chip bag down my jumper, I could have passed for pregnant!" Valery had just pulled the chips back out, tortilla chips, and was now eating them, glaring a bit just as the bar rose and Logan hopped back in, slamming the door behind him.
"A very unfortunate baby if it were shaped like a chip bag." Brian scoffed.
"Whatever- let's just keep goin-" Camden was cut off as sirens blared behind them and red and blue flashes broke out a few floors above, being seen down the center of the structure.
"FLOOR IT!" Patton squealed and Logan did just that.
"Hold on to your glasses!" Logan growled as he stepped on the accelerator and gunned it out of the structure, turning wildly onto the main road.
When all of the delinquents had first arrived, it was in an enclosed van, so nobody had really seen what the exterior of the prison looked like. They could now see it was nothing but deserts for miles and miles until the plains of dead grass and cacti turned to hills that grew green with trees.
"We're going for there!" Patton pointed to the trees, "On our way here, we saw, there's a small town with some facilities down a dirt road up there. It's secluded so if we get through those hills fast enough and lose them, we're practically home free!" Patton announces happily.
"Thank god." Brian groaned.
The flashing lights of a hot pursuit were in Logan's rear view mirror and he switched gears so they were going faster.
Virgil swallowed nervously as his heart rate picked up. His ankle hurt like hell, snapped tendons felt like that, but what was worse was the memory coming to mind. It was the last time he'd been with Roman as a pair...them racing down the street in Roman's car and Roman caring about that and..
Virgil felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes and he tightened his grip on the boy leaning against him, unconscious, bundled up against Virgil while he put and arm around him to hold him steady.
Virgil looked down at Roman's peaceful figure. He moved a hand a stroke the boy's head, brushing hair out of the way and behind his ear. He paused before planting a delicate kiss on his forehead, "I love you..." He whispered into Roman's ear, "Even if you won't remember that." He leaned his head against Roman's.
Meanwhile, Tom was struggling to keep Lea from falling, the height difference making it impossible to keep Lea on his shoulder. Tom sighed and finally gave in to laying the boy down on his lap.
Tom looked down at Lea's face. He reached into the unconscious's front pocket to produce a pair of sunglasses. He looked at them before putting them back. He'd never seen Lea without his sunglasses on some part of his body. It gave him a whole other look...a small, innocent boy, with a lightly freckled face and beautiful, sleepy smile.
Tom bit his lip, not able to bare the idea of Lea not remembering him. He ran his fingers through Lea's hair and sighed, this calming him some.
Neither pining boy was affected by the sirens after this.
It was funny how two people asleep could comfort such chaotic people when awake. It balanced out.
"That doesn't make sense- they're not getting any closer.." Camden mumbled.
"That's because I registered one of their own license plates as the one they're after so their tracking devices are having a fit." Brian chuckled from the computer he clicked away at as the sirens got quieter as soon as they pinpointed the location back to a car in the structure- one of their own.
"They'll figure it out eventually but we should be able to make it to that small town that this one," Brian nodded to Patton, "Mentioned before they get too close- if we play our cards right, that is."
"His name is Patton." Logan corrected quietly, looking at Brian through the rear-view mirror.
Brian paused before shrugging but nodding anyway to show he'd heard.
There was silence up until a groan came from Lea.
Tom jumped in surprise and looked down at him.
Lea began to blink blearily, "Wh...what..?"
"Lea?" Tom swallowed nervously.
"Being called by my last name..." Lea yawned, "Feels awkward, just call my Remy.." He opened his eyes slowly and they focused on Tom, he grinned widely, "Hey, Snake Boy."
Tom let out a choked noice, "Wh-what do you remember?"
Remy lifted his hand and began to trace it along Tom's scarred face, "Every single memory with you- I think, at least, I wouldn't know otherwise but...feels like that...and..." He smiles, "I wanna' have a family, like mine- Tom..." He paused, "I had a little brother- I'm sorry I didn't tell you that earlier...I can't seem to remember why but...it didn't feel right to mention it..." Remy murmured.
Tom wiped a few tears from his eyes as all the others looked from the corner of their eyes at this event, Virgil looking especially hopeful.
He chuckled, "It's okay- god, Lea, it's so okay..."
"You can call me Remy." Remy corrected, "I'd prefer it."
Tom nodded, "Remy it is then."
Remy grinned widely and giggled.
Giggled.
Tom didn't think that was a noise that could come from this kid's mouth.
Remy sighed as he caressed Tom's cheek and sat up, "It's like...I'm the same person but...happier.." he paused, "Which doesn't mean I still won't be a smart ass." He winked before looking Tom up and down.
"What?" Tom smiled.
"I just want to look at you so I know I'm not dreaming.." Remy murmured.
Tom covered his face with his hands, "Le- Remy!"
"Ew, you calling me by my first name low key sucks ass too- stick to Lea." Lea nodded.
"Really?" Tom sighed in relief.
"It reminds me of you." Lea nodded and brushed a strand of hair behind Tom's ear, "Like how I don't call you Thomas- I call you Tom- or snake boy." He winked again.
Tom chuckled and shoved Lea playfully.
Lea held Tom's face gently before pressing a kiss to his lips, holding for a moment before leaning back slightly, "Every goddamn memory of you, I promise I have."
"Yeah?" Tom beamed.
Lea nodded, "I hope you'll still love me- even without-"
"Lea I want to marry you." Tom blurted.
Patton choked and Logan accidentally caused the car to swerve.
Brian shrugged. This was predictable.
Virgil looked out the window, feeling bittersweet feelings.
Valery just grinned like she'd won the lottery.
"But you don't know-" Lea began to scoff, "Don't make brash decisions here you'll take back later."
"I don't care, nice you or serial killer you- that sounded terrible, sorry-"
"Yeah just a bit."
"I love you either way." Tom softened and Lea grinned.
"Hmm...I'll think about your offer." Lea shrugged.
"Lea!" Tom gasped.
Lea moved to sit in Tom's lap versus sitting up on it, "Ah, shut up, you know I'm kidding." He rolled his eyes with a wide smile, "Even if we've got no money, job, home, life, coffee- god, I could use some coffee- hell, let's do it." He paused, "I do." He winked.
"I fanfuckingtastically do." Tom grinned, "I'll now kiss the bride." He leaned forward.
"Nope." Lea put a finger against Tom's lips and Tom pouted, "Nothing against women, but I'm your husband. I like that ring to it better. Got it, snake boy?" He cocked an eyebrow.
"Whatever you say, sunglasses." Tom purred.
Lea frowned in confusion.
Tom nodded to Lea's pocket.
Lea took out the sunglasses and looked them over before nodding and putting them on his head, "How do I look?"
"Adorable." Tom grinned from ear to ear.
"Oh, shut up!" Lea shoves Tom's face.
Tom chuckled and they pressed their foreheads together affectionately.
Virgil watched on with a slight frown, looking worriedly at Roman before looking back out the window. His anxieties were getting the best of him. But, it was true...what if Roman didn't remember him...? It seemed as if all the bad memories linked to the name Remy and the life of Remy had all been washed away, other than Tom, the one good thing in Lea's life. However, for Roman, Virgil has been his trigger, and bad memories had resulted from that- so there was a high likely-hood of Roman waking up and having no idea who Virgil was.
That theory was soon confirmed.
"Hhh.." Roman groaned and fell against Virgil's arm, "Mm?"
Virgil swallowed nervously and stayed completely still.
Roman grumbled sleepily, "Where...?"
"Patton's van." Logan called.
Patton slapped him on the arm, "Let Virgil take care of this!"
"Virgil...V-Virgil.." Roman stuttered the name as a smile drew on his face and he hugged Virgil's arm, nuzzling his shoulder affectionately, "Five more minutes..."
"I-I think we'll have a lot more than that, bud-"
At the sound of Virgil's voice, something seemed to click inside of Roman's head, "Wait- you're okay?" Roman woke up and scrambled up into a sitting position, looking around them and scooting closer to Virgil, "Wh-Who are the rest of these people?"
Virgil blinked in surprise and flushed at the physical contact before nodding to Logan, "That's Logan, That's Pat-"
"I know them, I mean-" Roman froze when his eyes landed on Tom, less than a few feet away.
"What the hell is he doing here?" Roman put a hand on Virgil's leg protectively.
Tom looked up from where he had his forehead to Lea's, "Boy, how hard did that get ya'?"
Virgil frowned, "Ro, what do you remember last?"
"I-" Roman squinted and tried to think, "I was shot in the arm and...then I woke up here and-" He looked at Virgil and smiled, "Hello.." He said bashfully, as if just realizing Virgil was there.
"Um...hi?" Virgil furrowed his brow.
"I just feel like I haven't seen you in awhile.." Roman rubbed a thump on Virgil's knee.
"So...you do remember me?" Virgil's eyes rounded.
"Remember you? You're my goddamn sun, Virgil!" Roman scoffed, "Forgetting you would practically be a sin! I could never forgive myself!"
Brian grinned widely, "Actually-"
Valery gave him a look that cut the phrase Not a word into Brian's mouth and he shut up."
Virgil paused to look Roman's face up and down. His eyes twinkled with the same admiration that they used to hold. His eyes creased with a...
with a smile.
And he was looking at him. Virgil. And was smiling.
Silent tears fell down Virgil's face, "O-Oh my god.."
"Virgil? Are we not going to discuss how Tom is-"
"I love you." Virgil practically sobbed.
Roman let the shorter fall into his arms and shake, "Virgil, what's gotten into you?"
"I love you so much- n-never leave me again.." Virgil sobbed.
"Again? I only got shot in the shoulder, Virgil, I'm not dead." Roman stroked Virgil's cheek, "I love you too."
Virgil sobbed harder.
"Oh dear- did I do something wrong?" Roman frowned, holding Virgil back to look at him.
Virgil shook his head, "I don't deserve you."
"You've both done things- let's just forget about it." Tom's eyes twinkled at the word of forget, "All is forgiven." He nodded to Virgil. It was okay.
Virgil smiled shakily before curling up into Roman's lap as if he had been the one that had shocked into memory loss.
"I'm so confused right now.." Roman sighed.
"Short story is we got out of some major prison trouble and these are our friends." Virgil murmured, "We're going to stop soon and...figure out what to do next- before the cops keep chasing like they were when they shot y-"
"Virgil, my arm is healed." Roman suddenly gasped as he felt his arm, "How long was I out?"
Virgil winced, "Maybe...a month or two?"
Roman sputtered, "Excuse me!?"
"It's okay now though, that's what matters." Virgil nodded.
"Where was I?"
Virgil opened his mouth to answer.
"You were doing tests with me, ya' know." Lea nodded, "I remember that, at least."
"Who are...?" Roman frowned at Lea.
"Same question but- I think that happened and your boyfriend here saved ya' and here we are." Lea shrugged.
"You...?" Roman looked down at Virgil.
"We can talk about it when we get home." Virgil sighed.
"Home?" Roman cocked his head.
"As soon as we find one- I'm assuming I don't have to ask you if you'd like to move in with me, considering we already did that for awhile." Virgil snickered.
"You could write a whole book on what happened that you missed." Brian chuckled.
"Better yet, a play," Tom grinned.
"Even better yet, a musical." Virgil yawned tiredly.
"I believe you'd tell me if I needed to know," Roman traced lines on Virgil's cheek, "For now, let me just look at you."
"I'd like that." Virgil smiled.
"There's a gas station up ahead- it'd be best if we stop there and walk to town rather than drive- they'll be looking for a van there." Logan pointed out.
"Good idea." The van members were in agreement.
Sure enough, a gas station popped up less than a mile away and Logan pulled into it, hopping out to put gas in.
There was a long pause before Brian spoke.
"I think this where we should all leave.." Brian murmured.
There was shocked silence but they all had known this would have to happen, "Each of us needs to go a different way- reinvent ourselves..." he stood up.
Camden stood up too, "I'm going with you."
Brian seemed like he was going to object but one look at Camden's round, pleading eyes, set his jaw, "Fine." They exited the vehicle.
"I better find that field for Terrance." Valery sighed and followed.
Lea nodded and followed with Tom.
Virgil took a moment before sitting up and following with Roman.
Patton hopped out to join the group that was now gathered in a small circle, Logan pausing after filling the tank, with what money he had in his pocket, and heading to the circle.
"This is it then.." Valery sighed.
"Yeah.." Camden nodded, a bit exasperated.
"Camden and I will head to the nearest town- we'll catch a bus or something and head up towards Wisconsin- seems random enough for them not to look there." Brian shrugged.
Camden smiled with a nod, agreeing to the his plan.
"I'll head towards Iowa." Valery declarer, "Corn fields.." She said the word as if it were magical.
The others nodded in agreement.
"It's been a long journey, but I think it's time we start another one." Camden smiled.
Brian held out his hand to Virgil.
Virgil looked at it before shaking it.
"Thank you." Brian nodded before turning to Camden, "Ready?"
Camden gave a thumbs up, "What about money?"
"I'm a hacker. We're being charged as criminals- might as well live up to that until we get on our feet." Brian winked before heading towards the rim of trees outlining the gas station, "We'll head through the woods, they'll be looking on the main road."
"Good idea." Valery agreed, "I'll wait it out in the restroom in there, I'm sure they have plenty of atlases- and I can always hitchhike."
The others murmured their agreement.
Brian gave a small salute before taking Camden by the wrist, gently, as they disappeared into the trees.
Valery waved fondly before jogging into the gas station, vanishing behind the isles.
This left the original gang of theatre kids- with an added Lea.
"I'm never performing in a musical again if this is where it gets me." Tom sniffed and everyone else chuckled.
"I still have no idea what's going on." Roman sighed but turned to Virgil, "But...you're with me- so that's all that matters."
Virgil let out a small giggle of glee.
Roman kisses his forehead.
"Lea and I..." Tom looked at Lea as if to test him.
"We're going to go to a lake." Lea nodded, "And grow old together."
Patton gasped and let out a small squeal, "Tom you're one percent forgiven for hurting my kids."
"Uh..thanks, I guess?" Tom awkwardly smiled.
Lea took Tom's hand and squeezed it, "We've got a whole life ahead of us."
"Then we've better start living it." Tom grinned.
"Yuck, that was corner." Lea winced.
"You giggled earlier so I don't want to hear about you making fun of me." Tom teased.
"Touché." Lea winked.
"What about you four?" Tom looked at the others.
"We're all going to go upstate- find somewhere secoueive to live our lives out...maybe dye our hair purple to cover up physical looks." Patton grinned.
Logan facepalmed.
"Sounds good to me," Virgil looked up at Roman, "What do you say? Wanna' hit reset on our lives?"
Roman looked down at Virgil and caressed his cheek, "As long as I'm with you."
"Forever and always...no matter what, if you're with me," Virgil placed a hand over the one Roman had on his cheek,
"You'll always shine and be mine."
