I forget who but a few days ago I read a comment from the first book about where someone said "Tom should go to hell with deceit!" And someone responded with something like "Tom can go to hell but not my little deceit!" And I was just like 👀

I also find it highly amusing reading all the comment in the first book of y'all threatening and hating Tom and then the current comments being like "My precious bb"
I want a throw back to evil Tom..

We just might get that—

"Hurt you?" Virgil's voice was a gritty, silent one, "Why would- you're not making sense, Roman, I love you, why would I hurt you of all things?"

"That was my question." Roman kept his knees drawn to his chest in the corner of the cell.

Virgil shook his head and chose to sit a few feet in front of Roman rather than near him, "Look, I'm not going to hurt you, see?" Virgil held his hands up defensively.

Roman flinched when Roman raised his hands.

"What happened to you?" Virgil's voice was filled to the brim with hurt.

Roman squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head.

Virgil had never seen Roman more afraid in his life.

"Y-you lied to me- a-about everything, how am I supposed to- to trust you after that?" Roman's voice shook.

Virgil's heart broke.

There was a loud thump and their cell door opened.

Tom came in, out of breath.

"Oh thank lord." Roman gasped, getting up and edging over to Tom.

Virgil bristled at this and narrowed his eyes.

"Virgil, hi." Tom panted, "Roman," He turned his head to him, "I told you, Virgil's fine."

Roman shook his head, "Wh-what? You've always hated him."

"Not True but I can see where you got that- look, it's okay, alright?"

"You knew he was like this?" Virgil growled.

"Only a few minutes ago." Tom winced, "He was in the cafeteria, he doesn't seem to know much of anything, he's just..."

"Scared." Virgil murmured.

Tom nodded before feeling a hand grab his and looking down to see Roman holding his hand.

Tom stiffened up with a light blush before he slipped his hand from Roman's, sending a glare at him and then softening at the look of hurt in the other's eyes.

"Isn't this...what you wanted?" Roman swallowed, putting a hand gently on Tom's shoulder.

"No, I want- Lea!" Tom sighed when he saw the lengthy male enter the cell.

"Well, isn't this just a party." The guard at the entrance grumbled before closing the door behind Lea.

Lea lifted his glasses up onto his forehead at the sight of physical affection that Roman was giving Tom and the red features of Tom's face.

Tom quickly brushed Roman's hand off his shoulder before nodding to Lea.

Lea gave a whine as if to object to some unsaid thing but Tom nodded firmly.

Virgil had never seen Tom look so discomforted before he sighed and turned to Virgil, "Come on."

"Wh-what?"

"We're going to Tom and I's cell, until lights out, then we have to switch back." Lea headed towards the cell doors

"B-but- Roman's alive, he's here!"

"Please, just leave.." Roman frowned at Virgil.

"N-no, you can't- I've been waiting for so long to see you!" Virgil cried.

"I- I don't want to see you." Roman's voice hardened.

Virgil felt as if someone had taken a sword through his heart, "Wh-Why? Why would you say that? You can't- you love me!" Virgil yelled.

"I could never love someone like you." Roman was shaking out of fear and rage.

"Someone like me?" Virgil scoffed.

"Not after what you did- lie after lie-"

"Like what? Please enlighten me oh wise one." Virgil growled.

"This isn't the best plan-" Tom began.

"About loving me, caring for me, that you'd never hurt me, that you were a guy, that you-"

"Fuck you!" Virgil screamed before storming to the cell block door and banging on it to be let out.

"Exactly what I mean!" Roman sobbed back before leaning into Tom's shoulder.

"Ah, shit- shit." Lea commented as he looked from the two back to Virgil who was now exiting, the guard looking expectantly at Lea who nodded he'd be coming, heading to the door and standing at the frame, he signed to Tom, I love you

Tom smiled slightly and shakily signed back I love you too

This seemed to relieve Lea before he exited the cellblock.

Silence filled the entire prison- not noiseless silence...but one in the chests of all its inhabitants.
Especially the former lovers.
