TWENTY-ONE

Callie hadn't felt safe since the news of Marvello's escape broke. The only place she felt safe was in Teddy's arms. They had finally found a flat, which meant that they now got to spend every night in each other's arms.

It was an adjustment, moving in together. Callie hadn't expected how shy she would feel, how nervous she was on their first night together. She didn't know why she was nervous, Teddy wouldn't do anything she wasn't comfortable with. And he hadn't. It didn't take long to get adjusted, however.

And so, the night before they would normally be heading back to Hogwarts, it was expected that they would come home and have a nice supper together. That night they had pot pie with a vegetable mix, which they ate at their kitchen table with a candle lit between them.

But what Teddy hadn't expected was when Callie leaned across the table and kissed him, nor did he expect it when she got up from her chair, grabbed his hand, and started leading him to their bedroom. He felt his throat go dry and his control slowly start to slip away when she closed the door and looked at him once more. The way she was looking at him was meant to be seductive, and believe me, he received it that way.

What Callie hadn't expected was when he crossed the room to her in two long strides and kissed her with such passion, such fervor that she felt her knees give out. Sure, he's made her weak in the knees, but this kiss... this kiss was different. And so he pressed one hand on the small of her back and the other on her hip, holding her up.

She was also surprised when, in one swift motion, he had picked her up and laid her gently on their bed. His hand went to the hem of her shirt and he broke the kiss to look to her for permission. Her cheeks tinged pink, but she nodded. He slipped it off, giving her a quick kiss before his attention wandered south. He kissed her everywhere, leaving a blazing trail on her skin. He stopped when he reached the scar of where she was stabbed with a poisonous knife. He looked up at her. "I love you," He murmured before he pressed a kiss to the scar, sending a shiver up her spine.

As he slowly kissed his way back up to her lips, her hands went to the hem of his shirt, tugging at it. He got the message and sat up to take it off, throwing it to the side with her shirt.

He kissed her again, hoping he conveyed how much he really loved her in this kiss.

The next morning they had to get up early to ensure they were at King's Cross in time to see the children off.

Callie blushed when she woke up, cuddled against Teddy... naked. She moved to get up to go get breakfast, grimacing when she realized how sore she was. Nonetheless, she untangled herself from Teddy. She put a robe on and shuffled out to the kitchen, where she started making toast and sausage.

"Good morning, love," Teddy said, his voice still husky from sleep as he came out of their bedroom, a pair of sweatpants hanging low on his hips. He went over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, resting his head on her shoulder.

Callie smiled. "Morning."

"How are you feeling?" Teddy asked, tightening his arms around her as he thought about the previous night.

"A bit sore," she admitted, taking the sausage off of the stove. She turned around in his arms after she had sat it down.

"I'm sorry," he murmured, kissing the top of her hair.

"Don't worry about it. Last night was perfect," she whispered, leaning up and kissing his cheek.

He smiled and unwrapped his arms from around her, going over to the toaster and getting their toast out and putting it on the table as Callie did the same for the sausage. He got their drinks and pulled out Callie's chair for her.

After breakfast, Callie hurried to get ready. She pulled on a gray t-shirt and dark skinny jeans with her black Converse, her curls pulled back in a low ponytail. Teddy was waiting patiently by the door, her purse in hand.

That morning at the Black-Weasley household, Elle was hovering over Reese like it was the last time she would ever see her again. She didn't stop asking her if she had this, or that. She hugged her tightly before going to find Brady.

She found him playing a muggle video game in the living room, his trunk already in front of the door. She sat down beside him, causing him to pause the game to look at her. He knew that if he didn't, she would get mad and that was no way to leave his mum.

"Hey, Brady, while you're at school this year can you promise me one thing?" She asked softly, a hand on his leg.

He nodded.

"Look out for Reese, okay?"

He nodded yet again. "Of course I will, Mum. I'm not about to let anything happen to my little sister," he told her in a 'duh' tone.

She smiled and squeezed his thigh. "Thank you."

At the station, both Reese and Dominique were more scared than they thought they'd be to leave their parents. However, that fear pretty much disappeared as soon as they got on the Hogwarts Express. They found a compartment with some other first years and they all just talked about Hogwarts.

Elle and Fleur both teared up, sad that another of their children had basically left the nest. Everyone was nervous about sending them back, what with Marvello on the loose again.

Speaking of Marvello, there was still no sign of him. Kingsley acted like he wasn't anxious, but he was. He paced when he was alone in his office, not wanting to fail as minister.

Marvello was ruining their lives even when he was in hiding.
