TWELVE

"What do you want for Christmas this year?" Callie asked her boyfriend, who was playing with her curls as she was laying her head in his lap.

He chuckled, grinning down at her as his turquoise hair fell into his face.

"Why are you asking now? It's only Halloween!"

"No, Halloween is tomorrow," Callie replied with a laugh.

"Okay, but still!"

She shrugged. "I need to get some ideas."

"You always get the best gifts. Besides, I don't need anything."

Callie gave her boyfriend a look that said "don't even try that on me."

Teddy simply laughed, still playing with her hair. "Alright, what do you want?"

Callie shrugged, making Teddy roll his eyes.

"The Hogsmeade trip is tomorrow. Help me get stuff for the cousins," Callie said after a moment, staring up at the ceiling.

"Okay. I'd just get them one of those bags of candy that Honeydukes sells."

"That's a good idea. I'll get them that!" Callie exclaimed, smiling.

"What should I get my dad?"

"Get him something from Zonko's. He'd like that."

"True. But since he, Uncle Fred, and Aunt Elle own the shop do you think..." she trailed off, glancing at him.

"Yeah. Maybe just look around tomorrow. There's bound to be something. Even if you don't find anything, you've still got a month or so to figure something out."

"You're right, Ted," Callie sighed.

The Hogsmeade trip went by smoothly. Callie got her cousins the candy like Teddy suggested, but didn't find anything for either him or her dad.

Everyone got back to Hogwarts early, as each house was having their own respective Halloween costume party. Anyone could attend.

Callie planned to dress up as the muggle Disney princess Ariel, while Teddy was going to dress up as Eric. He was going to change his hair and eye color, but keep everything the same as per Callie's request.

As soon as they got back, Callie kissed Teddy's cheek and ran up to her dorm to get ready.

Leah helped her get ready, since Victoire was staying in the Ravenclaw tower. Callie suspected that there was a boy she wanted to hang out with.

Callie was dressed in the blue dress that Ariel wore when she and Eric toured his kingdom, with her red curls straightened and tied back with a blue bow like Ariel's.

Teddy was dressed in Eric's sailor outfit, with his hair changed to black and his eyes to blue. He was waiting at the bottom of the stairs that led up to Callie's dorm, looking around and listening to the music that was already blasting.

When Callie came down, she ran to Teddy. Teddy picked her up and spun her around before kissing her.

Callie laughed and pulled Teddy to the dance floor. "C'mon! Let's dance!"

Callie wanted to get lost in the music and have a good time with her boyfriend. She didn't want to worry about Marvello or protecting her little cousins.

Teddy laughed and obliged, doing the same dance moves Callie was. Callie knew that she couldn't dance, but she didn't care; it was Halloween and she was going to have fun if it was the last thing they did.

The Gryffindor common room was packed full of students of all ages, all in different costumes. Tables piled high with food and drinks lined one wall, with all of the tables and couches gone. There was a fire in the fireplace, but there was a charm around it so that no one could fall in. A large muggle DJ table was against one wall, with a student Callie recognized as a fifth year running it. She didn't want to know what they had to do to get it here.

Brady was off with his friends, while James was with Blake. He and Blake had to sit by each other in many of their classes, so they had become good friends.

Brady and James both wanted to forget that today marked seven years since their best friend and sister was killed.

Callie didn't let Teddy leave the dance floor any throughout the night, except to get them drinks. They were in the middle of the crowd, which was quite rare for Callie. Callie was determined to have a good time, so she figured she could most easily forget all of her problems if she was surrounded by people who were also dancing.

She smirked slightly when she seen Leah lead a boy to the back corner. She snapped her eyes back to Teddy before biting her lip in what she hoped was a seductive manner.

Teddy seemed to have received it the way she intended, because he smirked back and pulled her closer to him.

This is how it should be. Just me and Ted, having fun, being a couple, Callie thought.

The fifth year who was being the DJ was doing quite a nice job, at least in Callie's opinion. He only played upbeat music that everyone could dance to, making it easy to get lost in the music.

Callie was the happiest she had been in months. The burdens of being the second oldest child in the new generation of Weasleys (counting Teddy and the Malfoys) was lifted off of her shoulders, if only for a little while.

The party lasted until well in the morning. By the time it was over, the Gryffindor common room was a mess. A few students, who probably got drunk, were passed out in the corners, while others stumbled in their drunken or tired states up to their dorm, with most collapsing onto their bed and falling asleep without even changing out of their costumes.

Callie was one of those tired people. She slept a dreamless sleep that night, one of the first she had in a long time.

Teddy wasn't quite as bad; he managed to change his clothes before he collapsed.

All in all, it was a pretty fun Halloween for all of the Weasley children at Hogwarts. They all forgot that an evil man was currently hunting them all down and trying to kill them.
