SIXTEEN
The next few months went by rather quickly in a blur of exams and homework for the kids at Hogwarts, a blur of paperwork for the adults, and a blur of fun for the kids not in Hogwarts.
They were uneventful, which sent anyone in the Weasley/Black/Potter/Malfoy family above the age of eleven on edge. They all just kept wondering when Marvello would attack.
One day, their suspicions were confirmed. "I, unlike my father, am merciful. So, before I send in my followers to tear this castle apart brick by brick and find them myself, I ask you to please hand over the following students: Edward Lupin, Callie Weasley, Victoire Weasley, Brady Weasley, and James Potter. Those students have one hour to meet me, Marvello Riddle, in the Forbidden Forest. That hour begins now," a cold voice rang out across Hogwarts the day before school let out, exactly a year since the Battle Of Hogwarts. To the professors that had been present during the Battle Of Hogwarts, that voice sounded eerily similar to Voldemort's.
Everyone had been enjoying a seemingly calm, normal breakfast in The Great Hall before it was so rudely interrupted. Everyone was now frozen in their seats, no one daring to move. They looked at the people Marvello were after, deciding whether to protect them or send them out to Marvello.
McGonagall quickly snapped into action, ordering the Head Boy and Head Girl, along with the prefects to take any students below fifth year to the Room of Requirement. Callie and Teddy made their way to the professors after making a silent agreement. The younger members of the Fighters had tried to stay, but Callie quickly vetoed that idea, shooting them off with the rest of the younger kids.
"What's the plan?" Teddy asked as soon as he was close enough to the professors so that they could hear him.
"We need to keep this out of the castle. The other professors and I will set up protection spells around the castle to keep Marvello and his Death Eaters out of the castle. Anyone who wants to fight can. We're going to need all the help we can get," McGonagall ordered, looking around the staff table.
"Someone call for the remaining members of the Order," she continued after a moment.
"I will," Professor Flitwick told her, already leaving the table.
"Professors, follow me!" She called, getting up to lead the way out of the castle.
Teddy exchanged a glance with Callie, giving her a quick kiss before hopping up on the table.
"Okay, anyone who wants to fight, stay here. Anyone who doesn't, go to the Room of Requirement," he yelled, sounding like quite the leader. It was a good thing he had taken after his father in that way.
He and the others were surprised when no one left. He gave it another moment before continuing, "The plan is as follows: we have to keep them away from the castle. He doesn't have as many followers as his father did, so we can do it. The professors are putting up protection spells around the castle as we speak and the Order of the Phoenix is being called. Stay alert and stay safe," he finished, giving the room one more look before hopping down and striding out of the Great Hall.
As soon as he and Callie were out of the room, everyone started talking again before following them. Wands were already out as students spread out on the grounds.
Teddy and Callie were together, no more than ten feet away from each other at all times. It wasn't long before the Order was there, with the Weasleys scattered around. Sammy and Draco were near the Astronomy tower, where they seen there wasn't a large amount of protection.
Regulus and Sirius were near the quidditch pitch, hiding in the shadows to do a surprise attack if need be.
Harry and Ginny were with McGonagall, discussing strategy before Harry ran to find Teddy.
Harry informed Teddy and Callie of the plan, which was different than they had previously discussed with McGonagall.
Teddy and Callie took deep breaths, exchanging a glance before they started walking into the Forbidden Forest, hand in hand.
"Well, well. Mister Lupin and Miss Weasley. Where are the others?" The familiar terrifying voice of Marvello called out to them as they reached a clearing. Marvello had dark hair and dark eyes, and a small nose. His skin had a greenish tint to it, showing the resemblance to Voldemort.
Teddy squeezed Callie's hand before replying, "This was the only way you were going to get any of us. Take the two of us, kill us. Leave the others alone."
Marvello smirked, taking a step closer to the two. "Very well. I'll settle for the godson of the man who killed my father. Miss Weasley will just be... extra."
Teddy's nostrils flared. "Then let her go. Let her go if it's just me you want."
"Aww, isn't that sweet? Oh, you two lovebirds. You're so cute it almost makes me not want to kill you. Oh wait, I still do. Which one of you wants to go first? Ah, how about you Miss Weasley?" Marvello taunted.
Hurry up, Harry! Teddy thought as he tried to keep Marvello talking.
"You are under arrest by the Ministry of Magic, Marvello Riddle," Harry told him as he emerged from under his invisibility cloak, pressing his wand into Marvello's neck.
Other Aurors had used an invisibility spell to sneak up on the Death Eaters that were present. Each Death Eater had a wand pressed to their neck.
"You're never going to hurt any of my family again," Harry snarled.
