FIFTEEN

On the morning of December 25, the children in the Weasley-Black household were up bright and early for once. All four ran to their parents' room, barging in and jumping up onto the bed.

Elle and Fred jolted awake, both slightly confused in their tired daze.

"C'mon, Mum, Dad! It's Christmas!" Josie and Reese cried, jumping up and down with Brady and Dylan.

"Yeah! We want to open presents!" Dylan yelled, flopping down onto his knees between Elle and Fred.

Fred chuckled, ruffling Dylan's hair. "Okay!"

"Muuuuum," Brady whined, jumping down and walking over to her side of the bed.

"Do you not even want breakfast first?" Elle asked, rolling over and facing him.

"No!" The kids yelled in unison, making Elle and Fred laugh.

"Alright, let's go then!" Fred replied, getting up and running out to the living room.

The kids chased after him, wanting to be the first in the living room.

Elle got up, yawning before following them.

She got out to the living room to see that the presents had been scattered around, placed in piles already with each child sitting beside one.

"Can we open them now? Please?" They begged.

"Go on," Elle told them with a smile as she and Fred sat on the couch.
——
After they had opened their presents, the family started getting ready for the annual Weasley Christmas at the Burrow.

Fred had gotten Elle a ring with each of their children's birthstones in a cluster.

Elle had gotten Fred a new watch, as he needed one what with all the business going on at the shop.

They had gotten the kids an array of toys, including new brooms. The kids were quite spoiled if you asked Elle and Fred.

At the Burrow, the kids were running around with each other, looking through the presents. The adults were watching them amusedly as Molly finished up the Christmas dinner.

Everyone was there. Draco, Sammy, Regulus, Sirius, everyone. After all, they were all family.

After they ate the fantastic meal Molly made, everyone gathered in the living room to watch the kids open presents.

Every child was there, as Callie and Teddy were the only ones to stay at Hogwarts over the holidays. Their gifts had been sent to them, as there was no way anyone would let them be excluded.

It took quite a while to open presents, as each family got each child a gift and there were many children. Molly had made everyone sweaters, as always. The kids put them on out of habit, as they were forced to every year.

It was nearly midnight before everyone had left. Many kids had collapsed an hour or so before, but the adults stayed and visited.

It was a happy Christmas at the Burrow, letting everyone forget the fact that Marvello was bound to attack them within the next six months.
——
Teddy and Callie woke up on Christmas, gathering their gifts before making their way to the Room of Requirement.

Each had gotten a Molly Weasley sweater, with sweets and money from the other families.

Teddy had gotten Callie a necklace with Stone's name engraved into the charm, which made Callie smile and tackle him in a hug.

Callie had gotten Teddy a muggle iPod, as he loved to listen to music. Teddy grinned and started fumbling with it the moment he opened it.

The two teens spent the day curled up by the fire, reveling in each other's company.

"So.... we're going to be getting out of here in a few months," Teddy started awkwardly, tightening his arms around her slightly as he stared into the fire.

Callie remained silent, letting him continue.

"I-I was just wondering if.... if maybe you would want to, I don't know, get a flat together after school?" He continued awkwardly, his hair turning purple as he refused to look at Callie out of embarrassment.

She was speechless for a moment. It hadn't seemed quite real to her yet that in mere months she would be put on her own. It'll be with Teddy... she thought.

"Of course, Ted," she murmured, looking at him.

"Really?!" He asked excitedly, turning his head to look at her with a huge grin on his face.

"Yes!" She replied with a small smile.

"I love you," Teddy stated before kissing her.

Callie smiled into the kiss. I'm going to be moving into a flat with the love of my life in a few months! She couldn't seem to stop thinking about it.

It was nice to not have to worry about Marvello for a bit. They knew that in a few days, the others would be back and they would start strategizing and preparing.

If he's anything like his father, he'll attack at the end of the school year, Callie thought before closing her eyes and simply enjoying the feel of being in Teddy's arms with a fire blazing in front of them.
