Neji ch3
Cana pov
I woke up in an unfamiliar place but I couldn't concentrate on that right now all I could think about was the fact that my mom was dead, the only family I had left is gone...
I have noting left to live for...
Before I knew it I was crying again, I rested my forehead against my knees and bawled my eyes out. Someone came rushing in and wrapped their arms around me.
"It's ok, everything's going to be fine" a familiar voice muttered comfortingly into my ear as he stroked my back.
It wasn't going to be ok. My mom is dead! And she is never coming back!
"Shhh" Neji cooed while he stroked my hair and eventually I stopped crying. Neji got up and offered me his hand I took it and he pulled me up off the bed.
"Let's get some air" he suggested and I just nodded and slipped my trainers on.
Neji took my hand and we left his house and walked around the village in utter silence. Everywhere I looked memory's flooded back it was horrible and tears would roll down my deadly pale cheeks every now and again and each time neji would wipe them away, I feel pathetic.
"I want to go home" I muttered my voice slightly cracking as Neji pulled me into a raman shop.
"Eat something first" he demanded softly which I'm not sure how he managed to pull off.
He then ordered me a medium chicken raman and himself a beef one, he ate his and I just pushed mine around my bowl, every second I felt like bursting into tears but I couldn't, a shinobi is never ment crys, even though I had broken that rule.
"Cana..." Neji muttered getting my attention and he held his chopsticks out towards my face with raman caught between each stick.
"You have to eat something" he said and I slowly opened my mouth and ate the food he was holding out and he smiled slightly.
"Good now eat some more" he told me and I obeyed very... very slowly. Once I had ate Neji linked his hand back with mine and we went to my house. And as expected my house is currently a crime scene, yellow tape was around the white fence of my house and anbu were currently outside and inside my house.
I shakily walked past the anbu and went into my house.
"You're not ment to be here kid" a man with a mask that resembled a dog's face with red and black markings around the eyes, sides, and mouth told me.
"I... I live here, I just wanna collect some things" I muttered looking at the floor in almost a glare.
"Cana saka?" He asked worriedly.
"Yeah... that's me" I muttered not moving my eyes from the blood stained floor.
"Want me to come with you?" He asked as though he didn't want me to go alone, Neji was just outside but as babyish as this sounds, I'd rather not me alone right now.
I gave the masked man a nod as he ruffled my hair and Walked with me upstairs into my room.
"So what do you need kid" he asked.
"I'm not sure... I know I can't stay here, I'm going to see if I can have an apartment. So a few clothes, I'll get the rest at a later date" I muttered and he nodded in understanding as he helped me pack some clothes and pictures.
"Here" he said holding out a blood stained necklace to me and I swiftly grabbed it realising it was my mother's.
"Thank you" I muttered in gratitude and he nodded in reply. I put the necklace around my head and let it dangle around my pale neck, before I got back to packing my bags.
"Mr anbu..."
"Hm?"
"Do you know... who did it? Who killed my mother?" I asked slowly not sure If I was mentally prepared for the answer.
"The akatsuki, that's our guess as we found traces of their cloak on the floor, along with an akatsuki ring" he explained running his hand through his silver hair before saying,
"Don't worry kid we'll get 'em"
He said reassuringly as he patted my messy blonde hair.
I really hope they do get revenge, if not... I will.
