Previously on Chapter 5

"Alright!" Yukine said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder, with a huge grin on his face as he looks down at me. This gesture makes me blush and my heart thumping against my chest. I guess I'm falling for him after all.

-Yukine's Confession-

Y/N P.O.V

I heard Hiyori calling for my name. So I decide to head there. I appear in front of them, which makes them jump in fright.

"Don't do that, Y/N-Chan! You're gonna give everyone a heart attack" Yato yelled at me, clutching his chest. I giggle in respond. "I didn't expect you to get frightened. Sorry about that" I said, rubbing my neck sheepishly.

I walk forward and take a seat next to Yukine. I turn to him and smile "hello... Yukine-Kun... " I said. He blushed in respond "h-hey... Y-Y/N-Chan" he said. I look at him slightly confused. 'Why did he seems to be nervous everytime he is around me?' I thought to myself. But I just shrug it off, probably just my imagination.

I turn my head to look at Hiyori. "So... Hiyori-Chan. Why did you call me here?" I asks. She turns to me "Hm? Oh! I just wanna invite you to hang out with us" she said. I let out a soft hum. "Oh I see... So what are we gonna do?" I asks. "Hmm... I haven't think of anything" she said, then start to laugh nervously.

I turn my gaze to see Daikoku is struggling with something. "Well... As you think of what to do, I'm gonna help Daikoku-San" I said. She just nod her head.

I got up and walk over to Daikoku-San. I peek over his shoulder to see him, struggling to take care of a plant. I kneel next to him, as I watch him. "What's wrong with this plant?" I asks. He turns his head to look at me, then he looks back at the flower. "I've tried everything... But I can't seem to get it to bloom" he said, he sounded so frustrated. "I see..." I said. Then I turn to look at the plant.

I laugh when I realise what flower it is. Daikoku turns to me, looking confused. "What are you laughing about?" He asks. "Daikoku-San! This is an Moon Flower" I said. "So?" He asks again. I look at the sun to see it shining directly to a flower.

"The sun is shining directly to it! It only blooms at night time, when it's slightly dimmed. But other way is to get it didn't get exposed to a direct sunlight" I said. I pick up the pot and walk over to a place that has a lot of shade. I place it under it. After 5 seconds, the flower starts to bloom.

I turn to Daikoku. "See?" I said. "Woah.... You seem to know a lot about flowers..." He said. I just laugh "well... not really... I just know most of them" I said. Daikoku starts to ask me more about how to look after the plants. I gladly tell him. We continue to talk, not noticing someone is staring at me from a far.

Yukine P.O.V

She's so beautiful. I really wish I could just man up and tell her how I truly felt about her. But no... I'm just a coward.

Then someone place a hand on my head. I turn my head to see Yato. "You should just tell her, you know...." He said. I look away from him. "I want to... But I don't know how, what if she did not like me back?" I asks. "You'd never know..." He said, then he walks away. "Tch... Real help, man... Real help" I said, sarcastically as I watch him walk away.

I just roll my eyes and turn my attention back to Y/N, who is still talking to Daikoku. 'Y/N... What do I do to make you realise that I'm in love with you?' I thought to myself. I continue to look at Y/N from a far. Honestly... I have to admit, I kinda look like a creep right now. But this is all that I can do, I always messed up and become a flustered mess when I'm around her.

I have to think of something to confess to her. I really wanted her to know, and hopefully.... she will return my feelings.

Time-skip

It's now around evening. We end up hanging around in a park. But after a while, I notice Hiyori and Yato is no where in sight.

I turn to Yukine. "Where's Hiyori-Chan and Yato?" I asks. He looks at me, then shrug "I don't know, Y/N-Chan" he said. I sigh and just take a seat on the bench. I pat the seat next to me, so Yukine would come and sit with me.

He blushed and walk over, then take a seat next to me. I just sit there in silent as I look up at the sky. The color of the sky is so pretty, it reminds me of someone's eyes. Yukine's eyes. I just smile as I close my eyes, enjoying the cool breeze of the evening.

Yukine P.O.V

It's starting to get dark. But for some reason, it didn't bother me like it usually do. Maybe because I'm here with the girl I love.

I turn my head slightly to look at Y/N. She's closing her eyes. Her hair is swaying from the wind. She looks so peaceful, so... Breath taking. I look down at her hand, which is placed on the bench.

I muster up the courage and moves my hand, placing it on top of hers. Her eyes flutter open and turn to look at me. Her eyes... They held worry. "Yukine? What's wrong? Are you still afraid of the dark?" She asks, gently. I shook my head "no... It's not that, for some reason, the dark didn't bother me like it usually do" I said. "That's good to hear..." She said, smiling at me.

I move closer to her. Her cheeks starts to turn a bit red. "Y-Yukine..." She said. 'Oh... She's so cute!' I thought to myself, as I felt my cheeks turning red as well.

I look away from her. "Y-Y/N..." I start. "Yes? What is it, Yukine?" She asks. Her voice is so gentle. I gulp and take a deep breath in and out. I look at her "there's... Something I want to tell you..." I said. She nods her head and keep looking at me. "Okay... Go ahead...." She said.

Y/N P.O.V

Yukine is looking so nervous. I wonder what he's trying to tell me. 'Is this what I think it is? Is he... No... He wouldn't. Would he?' I thought to myself.

"Y/N... I um... I..." He struggles to say it. "What's wrong? Just relax... You can tell me anything" I said. He nods his head and look down. He sighs"I hope it won't change our friendship if I said it" I heard him mumble, thinking I can't hear him.

Then he looks at me. "Y/N... I'm... Um.... I-I t-think... No no no, I know that... I'm f-falling in l-love with you" he said, closing his eyes. My eyes widened. 'So he did return my feelings after all' I thought to myself, smiling happily.

I didn't realise that I haven't give him an answer. He opens his eyes "I guess you don't feel the sa-" I cut him off by wrapping my arms around him in a tight hug. "Shh... Sorry I didn't answer right away... I'm just surprise by your confession" I said, pulling away. He looks at me. "So does that mean..." He said. I nod my head "yes... Yukine, I love you too..." I said. He grins and pulls me into a hug. "Oh... Thank god!" He exclaims. "Be mine?" He whispers. I nod my head "with pleasure..." I said. His hugs me tighter, but not too tight to make me unable to breathe.

We decide to head back to Kofuku's place, it's starting to get dark. Yukine held my hand in his along the way back. I love the feeling of his hand in mine. It's really comforting.

I decide to sleep, since I'm so tired. I walk to my room, that Kofuku have arrange for me. I hesitate at first when they invite me to stay here. But I decide to agree. It'll be nice to have someone there for you, you won't get to feel lonely.

I laid on my bed. I was about to fall asleep, when the door opens. I look up to see Yukine. He walks over to me, then he leans down and place a soft kiss on my forehead "good night, Y/N... Have a good sleep. I love you... So much" he whispers. "Good night Yukine... I love you too" I said. He pulls away completely and walk out of my room. He turns and smile at me, which I return. Then he turns completely and walk out. I smile and close my eyes. Slowly drift of to sleep.

Today is the best day of my life. Turns out, Yukine felt the same way as I do. We're a couple now. I hope it would last long. I don't want to be separated from Yukine... Ever.
