Uga Benzaitien (宇賀弁財天 Uga Benzaitien) is one of the strongest jujutsu sorcerers from a thousand years ago. Regarded as the Queen of Curses and the wife of Ryomen Sukuna, Benzaitien is both the deuteragonist and one of the primary antagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen: Purgatory series. She also serves as the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Royalty prequel series.

According to legend, Benzaitien was an Imaginary Goddess during the Heian Era but in truth, she was one of the children of the Dragon King Munetsuchi and a sorcerer known as the She Who Controls All That Flows and then later known as the Bride of Sukuna.

Benzaitien was incarnated in April 2018 when Chiyoko Hayashi wore one of her rings and is currently connected to Chiyoko until she collects all of her rings.

Benzaiten is aware of her immense power and is very confident in her abilities in battle and during training. She takes her job and missions very seriously and is not afraid to kill anyone who is in the way of completing her assignments. Benzaiten is sadistic as she has used various torturing methods toward her victims in order to gain information.

According to Sukuna, she is an incredibly sly and cunning individual. There are times when she can be genuinely compassionate and kind towards a very, very short list of people, such as Sukuna and her pets, although she almost never shows it in public. Benzaiten greatly loves her husband with all her heart, no questions asked. Benzaiten is aware of her immense power and is very confident in her abilities in battle and during training. ꒰💧꒱ SYNPOSIS ♡꙼̈ ࿐ ࿔

When she was alive, Uga was originally the third daughter of Munetsuchi, who was labeled as the 'Dragon King'. But when she was still a newborn, Uga was somehow kidnapped by Nintoku, who was the emperor at the time. Nintoku decided to raise her as his daughter instead of killing her, raising her with his other children.

Ever since she was young, Uga had a love and interest in mythical and supernatural creatures, despite them being incredibly feared by everyone from multiple regions and despised by her "father". Nintoku trained her and her siblings into becoming sorcerers, with Uga being one of the strongest siblings and able to be called special grade.

The last straw for Uga was when her father planned to torment a kappa his guards captured. She left the kingdom, taking the kappa with her. Afterward, Uga became an assassin and mercenary for those less fortunate. She eventually met Sukuna when she killed a group of curse users and then met again as they were both targeting the same sorcerer. At first, neither of them wasn't interested in the other and only thought that the other was in their way. They were forced to work together to kill their target.

Afterward, the two became closer due to meeting ups accidentally and on purpose. The two of them were unofficially married and had only one child together before they were murdered.

After Uga was killed, her five-finger chain bracelet and the fifteen other rings with it broke apart and became cursed objects. They can be possessed by anyone who wears one of her rings or the main chained bracelet. The person wearing them must be a female and have a powerful level of skill who can handle the powers and abilities Uga possesses.

OVERALL SKILL LEVEL: During the Golden Age of Jujutsu, the Heian Era, Uga Benzaiten was feared and regarded by all those in her time as one of the strongest sorcerers of all time, defeating and killing thousands of jujutsu sorcerers, despite them sharping their skills to defeat her. Some of her most notable feats includes single-handedly slaughtering various groups of curse users during her time as a mercenary, the most elite of Nintoku's sorcerer army, saving countless yokai from his reign while also being feared among the rest of Japan's authority that both have created festivities to honor her out of praise and fear respectively.

The impact Benzaiten left on history until she "died" earned her the titles she known as like the "Queen of Curses", as well as the "Honored Goddess". Her strength is held in such high regard that those like Akina Tengen, the strongest sorceress in modern jujutsu society, can acknowledge her strength.

More than living up to her titles, Benzaiten possesses vast amounts of cursed energy and equally incredible control over it, with an extraordinary grasp over jujutsu, but she was also not reliant on jujutsu alone, possessing overwhelming physical prowess as well, capable of dispatching almost any opponent without unveiling her true cursed technique.

Even at her weakest state upon his incarnation in Chiyoko's body, due to lacking most of her rings, Benzaiten remained extremely strong, capable of effortlessly dispatching powerful curse users and curse spirits.

INCARNATION: There is a slim chance that Benzaiten will incarnate into whoever possesses her chained bracelet and there is an even slimmer chance that they would even survive after having one. Upon Chiyoko finding and wearing the first of her jewelry, Benzaiten immediately came to possess her body, which she has inhabited since.

MASTER HAND-TO-HAND COMBATANT: Benzaiten is a highly skilled and powerful close-quarters fighter. She was always one of the strongest among her adoptive siblings, able to take on multiple opponents on her own.

IMMENSE STRENGTH: Benzaiten possesses tremendous physical strength despite being in an incomplete state and her height. She has proven time and time again that she can easily defeat various sorcerers in one setting.

IMMENSE SPEED AND REFLEXES: Benzaiten can move at an incredible speed that rivals Sukuna's speed. She can also easily counter any opponent and is fast enough for his opponent to not even realize that they had injuries. She was able to dodge Akina's attacks with almost no problem and was just as quick to deliver her own attacks.

IMMENSE DURABILITY: Even with just a fraction of her power returned, Uga can use cursed energy to bolster her vessel's resilience.

CHRONOKINETIC COMBAT: Due to her ability to slow down time, Uga's attacks can look to happen extremely fast whenever she slows down time.

GREAT TACTICAL INTELLECT: Uga is an incredibly intelligent cursed spirit and she fully grasped the nature of cursed techniques, as well as cursed and reverse cursed energy as a whole. She is able to quickly learn about people's techniques after seeing them in action once and can create plans that easily foil the techniques.

When pushed into desperate situations, Benzaiten has demonstrated the intellectual capacity to remain levelheaded and formulate strategies to counter her opponents.

CURSED ENERGY CAPACITY: True to her title as Queen of Curses, possesses vast levels of cursed energy due to her divine bloodline, far surpassing special grade cursed spirits and sorcerers alike. She was able to use her techniques throughout her battles without exhausting herself in the slightest. Her amount of cursed energy is rumored to be close to Sukuna's, but in reality, it is larger than the King of Curses'.

CURSED ENERGY MANIPULATION: Benzaiten has incredible control over her cursed energy, being extremely proficient in using cursed techniques that require sophisticated manipulation of cursed energy such as domain expansion and reverse cursed technique, and capable of performing both flawlessly and repeatedly without issue. Many of the strongest sorcerers throughout history like Sukuna and Kashimo have are astonished by Uga's practically prefect mastery of her cursed energy, displayed how she has managed to kill several sorcerers at once just from striking one chord.

CURSED ENERGY OUTPUT: In addition to her immeasurable amounts of cursed energy, Benzaiten can output high amounts of cursed energy into her cursed techniques, vastly increasing their effectiveness.

REVERSE CURSED TECHNIQUE: Uga is one of the few curse users who can use a Reverse Cursed Technique to heal themselves. She perfected this technique when she was on her deathbed after her adoptive father forced her and her siblings to fight until they were on the brink of death.

┊ ┊ ༉˚ BINDING VOWS

Uga has an unnamed Binding Vow with Chiyoko, her vessel. The Cursed Goddess agreed to grant Chiyoko help her escape under one condition: Chiyoko would collect all of Benzaiten's cursed rings as her vessel. Once she has all of her cursed rings, her original body would be whole once again and she wouldn't be connected to Chiyoko anymore.

Chiyoko accepted but only after she added a condition herself: she is allowed access to use Benzaiten's shikigamis and one of her techniques. She mainly added this so that this Binding Vow would also benefit her, which Benzaiten knew and accepted the newly added terms.

┊ ┊ ༉˚ INNATE TECHNIQUES

WATER MANIPULATION: A technique that allows Benzaiten to fully manipulate the element of water in any state, whether solid, liquid, or gas. She can convert cursed energy into water, and control the water in people's bodies letting her control people like her own puppets.

♡ MAXIMUM: HUNGRY TSUNAMI: Uga creates a tsunami the size of the largest ever recorded. Anything within 20 miles of the shore gets washed up and drowned. The wave is actively trying to drown anyone that gets caught in it, so it has kinda a mind of its own. This can only be used near or at the coast.

TIME MANIPULATION: A technique that allows Benzaiten to manipulate and control time. Whenever she plays her biwa, from a single note or a whole score, Benzaiten can control the flow of time, such as playing a certain score to reverse time or playing a single note to stop time.

CURSED SOUND: This allows Benzaiten to create and control sound to a rather high degree, meaning that she can control sound waves in the air and create them from your hands, feet, ears, and mouth.

♡ SOUND BLAST: A blast of sound shoots from his hands or feet to launch someone back. She also does this in people's ears to mess their ears up.

♡ GROUND BLAST: Benzaiten puts both of her hands on the ground and uses a sound blast which makes the area around her shake and forms an earthquake.

♡ AIR BLAST: Benzaiten can shoot a sound blast out of her hands in feet to launch herself while he is in the air.

♡ MUSICAL SLICE: Benzaiten uses her cursed biwa to make a slice out of sound. This sound looks like a melodic line with notes on it.

♡ MAXIMUM: NOISE EXPLOSION: Benzaiten takes all the sound around her and turns it into a ball on her hand which has a bunch of notes spinning around it. She can then launch it at the opponent which creates a huge sound explosion.

♡ REVERSE: PURE SILENCE: Benzaiten, instead of making and controlling sound, can rid of all the sound within a small radius. No one besides her (and sometimes Chiyoko) can hear the sounds. This is mostly used for stealth attacks because people can't hear her or her attacks.

DIVINE TATSU, YOKO: Benzaiten's tastu shikigami that is often used for devouring opponents, transportation, and protection. Yoko can also shoot large streams of water from his mouth.

DIVINE WHITE SNAKE, HAITO: Benzaiten's white snake shikigami that is often used for delivering messages and stealth attacks. Haito is also known for his venomous bites with venom as deadly as a black mamba's.

┊ ┊ ༉˚ BARRIER TECHNIQUES

ENDLESS OCEAN: A barrier technique that traps victims and allows Benzaiten to be easily able to use all the water to her command and she would be able to drown them.

BOTTOMLESS ABYSS: Benzaiten's Domain Expansion where inside of this domain consists entirely of water (a seemingly infinite amount). The guaranteed hit is the immense pressure of being basically submerged in a deep underwater trench with no bottom or surface. Anyone but Uga also cannot breathe in it.

GRAND FINALE: Benzaiten's second Domain Expansion puts her and the opponents into a music store with a ton of instruments that would play very loudly when Benzaiten plays her biwa. This makes it so the opponent can barely hear anything and their ears are about to burst. Benzaiten isn't affected by the loud instruments.

CURTAIN: Uga can create a set space from the outside via a black force field.

NEW SHADOW STYLE: SIMPLE DOMAIN: An anti-domain technique Benzaiten can use to resist the can't-miss attack of any domain targeting her.

HOLLOW WICKER BASKET: An anti-domain technique that is the predecessor to Simple Domain. It erects a basket-shaped barrier that neutralizes a domain's barrier to nullify its guaranteed-hit factor.

TESSEN: One of Uga's go-to cursed tools is her Tessen. She uses her Tessen outside of battles, such as for self-defense and training purposes. The purpose of her Tessen is mainly to control large bodies of water. She uses this for close-quarter fights or to deflect small objects, such as Nobara's nails, knives, arrows, and poison darts.

BIWA: Her other main go-to tool cursed tool is her signature biwa. She would use this to fight long-ranged or if she wishes to remain hidden from opponents. Playing her biwa allows her to control and manipulate water, especially the water inside of people.

TANTO: Uga uses a standard tanto to attack opponents as a way to catch them by surprise.

Benzaiten is both a Buddhist goddess and a Shinto kami, and as such is worshiped at both Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples.
