An Ally
As the night slowly moved, Keigo watched the cameras as he kept both Toga and Twice away. He hadn't seen any movement from Shigaraki, but he wasn't about to let his guard down thanks to the tape's warning. Keigo yawned tiredly and sighed as he lured Toga away for the fifth time that night.
"Is this really it?" he said aloud. "After that tape, I thought there'd be more." As he flipped over to the storage room camera, the blonde was met with a screen full of static. "What the..?" Before he could react, the video feed returned to normal.
"Wait.." Keigo inspected the video closer. "Where did Dabi go?" The black-haired animatronic was no longer beside Hawks, or even in the room for that matter. Suddenly nervous, Keigo quickly flipped through the cameras, searching for Dabi.
"Well well well," Keigo froze as a deep, mechanical voice spoke from the doorway. "It seems like Shigaraki hasn't made his way over here yet." He slowly lifted his gaze from the cameras. "That's good."
Dabi stood directly in the doorway, preventing Keigo from closing it. The blonde watched the exposed wires around the animatronic's arms and neck glow with bright blue sparks as he stood there watching the new night guard. The moment Dabi took a step closer, Keigo's eyes grew wide in fear.
"W-wait!" He stood up from his chair and started backing away. "No! Stay back!" Dabi continued coming closer. Keigo kept backing away until he tripped over a pole that was holding up a broken shelf full of old parts. Focus shifted onto the avalanche of metal parts, the blonde held up his arm and closed his eyes as he waited for the inevitable.
CLANG!
Hearing a loud clanging sound, Keigo looked over at its source and saw an old gear settle on the floor. He quickly looked up and saw Dabi holding back most of the parts.
The animatronic sighed. "That was a close one." He looked down at the guard. "Are you going to just sit there or are you going to help?" Snapping himself out of his daze, Keigo quickly stood up and placed the pole back where it was.
"Now that that's fixed, are you alright?" Keigo just stared into his blue eyes as he nodded a response. "Good. Make sure to remind the owner to get that replaced before it actually kills someone." Dabi turned back towards the door and proceeded to leave the room. "This is twice now that I've saved you. At least this time it wasn't as serious."
Keigo stood there for a moment before running just outside the doorway. "Wait!" Something about the look that the animatronic gave felt familiar to him. 'What does he mean that he saved me twice? Unless...'
Dabi paused but didn't turn around. Keigo stared at the black-haired animatronic. His eyes shifted to the charred doorway briefly before returning to Dabi.
"Please tell me that I'm not dreaming and that it's really you...Touya..."
