A week passed in a weird process of maintaining silence from both ends.Neither Meenakshi nor Suhaas tried to engage in verbal spats or fights in any form after that nights interaction.

Meenakshi has stopped the revolting side from coming out with him.After the night she knew the beast is back on him and she could not fight him back after a certain time.She has been thinking well how and why she was weaving dreams when she never had right to do so.An animal can never transform into a human and so does a stone what she has become.

An incident changed her life.She has to carry it for rest of her life.She is married.She has no qualms but her heart deceives her time again by awakening those little desires like that of any woman.

They were out on one of the expensive malls for a visit.She showed no interest to shop or get anything of her choice.Materialistic things never pleased her.It was he who wanted her to come with him here today and she didnt care to retort back.

The stroll has been for an hour and they checked almost every shop.She was clueless why he looked restless.His eyes searched for someone and she would not dare to ask him anything.He never left her alone for a single second.Like a shadow he has been with her.

She felt hard to walk as her feet ached with pain.

M-"May I know why we are roaming around for an hour.Doing nothing fruitful.Can we head back.Please.I cant walk."

She expected a rude and negative response.What came was a shocker for her.

S-"You sit here I will get something for you."

Suhaas left after finding a place for her in middle of the huge place where a three seater was placed.The mall was kind of crowded.She gave him a nod and kept looking at him till she lost his sight.

She ran her hands on her hair and something caught her eye.An adorable sight to behold.A couple was sitting with their baby girl.The baby had a smile on her face and was trying to take small steps.The loud chuckles broke the hard shackles on her heart she has been tied for years.Her heart thumped with an unknown affection and eyes shot with pain.

The mother looked happy.She placed sloppy kisses on the cheeks of baby who jumped with happiness.Thats how a motherly feeling comes out.How would she know.She was deprived of it before she fully realized how she should feel.Her fists held on to the bench and she shut her eyes.The memory she could erase from her life.How she lost magic and miraculous feeling growing inside her.

Flashback 

After Suhaas left, she had been taking extra care for the baby with whom she started bonding unknowingly.A sudden hope prevailed in her life in the form of the life she could feel inside her.Shreya Amma looked after her like her own child and made sure to give her knowledge about what should be done and not in such condition.

A week or two passed by and she avoided conversation with Suhaas every time he would call.Though he asked Shreya if everything was alright here.Shreya had doubts but she never asked her.Meenakshi felt nice and fresh away from torture and anticipation of uncertainty.

Although she has been taking care well and visit doctor for regular check ups, fate has it all planned.She was too weak and her body not in a stable condition to bear a child.Shreya had a discussion with doctor and chose not to brief her about whole thing if she would be tensed.

Suhaas was to come back on same night and she was on her bed reading a book.A faint smile warmed her lips she came across something.It was about how a mother and her child's bond starts growing with months nearing to last stage of pregnancy.She let her hand touch the small bump and her heart felt a special connection.

Shreya was busy in kitchen when she heard loud whimpers.Her husband has gone to airport to pick Suhaas and she was preparing something for Meenakshi.She rushed upstairs and found her in a curled up position whimpering in pain.

Meenakshi had her eyes open with much difficulty.She clutched to her stomach with pain hitting her every nerve and she looked serious.She felt Shreya's hands on her head as she dialed a number.Her vision blurred in next few seconds before she held onto Shreya Amma with one hand and her other hand secured on her stomach.

M-"Ahh.Amma save me please."

This was first time after this girl had come that Shreya found her pleading for something.The strong headed and always keeping her eyes above everything nature has made her dumb founded.She touched her head affectionately and found her not responding.

Prakash,Shreya, Suhaas and Raju.Suhaas stood outside operation theatre with tensed looks.Shreya was crying.Suhas had blank face.They rushed from the airport directly to hospital.

The doctor came out and wished to see husband first.Suhaas took a second to appear and his eyes carried a cold look.It looked he knew why the lady was not being able to meet his eyes.She fumbled and he looked back at her.

"I am really sorry we couldnt save the baby.Your wife had a miscarriage.She is better now but lost a lot of blood and needs to be taken care well."

The least affected person was the one who should have been acting if his world fallen apart.Shreya cried and Raju went to Suhaas keeping a hand on his shoulder.

R-"Rishi.Its .."

S-"Its not alright.I have accepted it long back Raju."

Raju looked at the man with no tears.

Meenakshi opened her eyes and her vision was still blurred due to affect of anesthesia.She felt pain on lower part of her body.Her hand attached with drips made efforts to reach her precious place.She failed.Her body was weak.

He stood in front of her with arms crossed across his chest.A dead expression was all he gave.His eyes still on her.She frowned hard and a moan escaped her mouth.He studied her face and she looked pale and too weak to move.He went near to her and something burnt inside him.He touched her hand and kept it back on bed removing it from place she felt was precious till few hours ago.Tear rolled down her cheeks.She could no longer feel something inside her.But she was still hoping.She frowned as He looked down.

Meenakshi felt a lump on her throat and disbelieved him.She touched her stomach and felt something a miss.taking high breaths she tried to get up when he held her shoulders.

M-"Mmy my baby."

S-"Its dead."

Soon he felt her collapsing in his arms.He shut his eyes and took her weight.

Present

Tap on her shoulder bring her back to reality.Her face was now tear stricken.He came taking a sit beside her and looked at her with tint of confusion.She cleaned her face soon enough and took the bottle of water from him.

When she was busy gulping down water, their eyes fell on a bundle of happiness wrapped in a cute frock and tiny legs were taking small steps towards them.

A smile on her angelic face made a stirring effect on Suhaas and he chose to look other side.His eyes went directly to his side and he found his wife in daze.

S-"We should make a move.Meenakshi."

He held her hand and before could pull her out of way , it happened what he feared.He frowned his brows.

Meenakshi knelt down and the baby hid her face in her neck taking the warmth.She hugged and wrapped her arms around the small one and placed kisses on her head.Her chubby cheeks adorned with smile made a tug at her heart.

She carried the baby in her arms and stood up.The parents approached them and looked embarassed.The little one tapped her cheeks as she kissed her tiny hands.

She raised her brows when the baby flung her arms wide trying to pass message she wants to go to the person standing aloof from them.Soon she frowned and burst into tears getting no efforts from the person.

Meenakshi eyed Suhaas who stood still with arms crossed.How can he be a stone heart.But he was one.

S-"Please keep an eye on your child.Its a big place."

Meenakshi felt him pulling her hand and she couldnt hold herself back.He was taking her away and she kept on looking at the couple who soon vanished in the crowd.

They were in a shop and he was busy looking out for perfumes.He sensed her eyes on him and acted as if nothing happened.

M-"I need to use washroom."

He let her go unwillingly and tucked his hands in the pockets of his pants.He looked unsure and heard a ring on his phone.

Other side :

She washed her face and stared at the mirror.Felt a burden at her heart.A feeling she could not erase off so easily.Closing her eyes she evolved in the moment.As she opened them she froze on the spot when a pair of eyes bore into hers.

She was stuck with vision on mirror.A horrified expression set on her face and she held onto the wash basin.

M-"Vikram.."
