"Do you think Lucy talks about Natsu a lot?" Lisanna questioned Gray as the two sat a table in Fairy Tail.

Gray was waiting for Lucy to find her way out of the library she had been in for hours. Lisanna waited for Natsu, who promised his mission wouldn't take long.

Gray shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, she does. But she has good reason to. Why?"

"Natsu talks about Lucy constantly. Literally almost every thing that has come out of his mouth for the last month has been about her." Lisanna explained.

"Are you jealous?" Gray question the snow haired girl, raising his eyebrow in curiosity.

"I think Natsu is falling for Lucy, unknowingly that is. I think he doesn't wish to feel that way about her because she is a Celestial wizard." Lisanna dodged the question by proceeding to ask her own.

"You honestly think Natsu would recognize a crush?" Gray answered with yet another question.

"He may not know that's what that is but he would sure recognize the feeling itself." She responded.

"Well, I think you are delving too deep in this idea. You have no real proof any of what you just said is true." Gray shook his head.

Just then, Lucy pushed herself into the front room of the guild through a small door on one of the walls. She walked straight over to Gray and Lisanna. Lucy placed a large book down. Its blood red leather cover had a thin sheet of dust.

"The Library of Dweron, lost to the sand dunes of Montoro. It contains over 700 years worth of history." She spoke directly to him, getting his attention quickly.

Gray's expression shifted. "Is this supposed to mean something?"

"It was lost to the sands 290 years ago, never to be seen again." Lucy paused and after a moment she spoke again. "I'm going."

"You're going to a 700 year old library that has been lost in the sand for 290 years?" He questioned.

Lucy nodded." Yes, and I was hoping you would come with me."

Lisanna watched the two, suddenly she became aware of something. Gray was falling for Lucy, and Lucy was falling for him. Slowly, yet is was clear that neither of them had figured it out yet.

After a moment of contemplating he nodded. "Yeah, I sure as hell can't let you go alone."

Lucy's bright eyes lightened up and a smile spread across her face. "Oh, thank you!"

"What is going on?" Erza questioned as her and Levy joined the three of them.

Lisanna, realizing this wasn't something she was supposed to get involved on, got up and walked over to the bar to get out of their way.

"Gray and I are going to seek out the Library of Dweron, in the sand dunes of Montoro." Lucy explained.

"Lucy, that building had been lost for centuries." Erza spoke, recognizing the book she held in her hands.

"I know, but I have to try and find it. If it has the book these pages spoke of, I'd have all the answers." Lucy had spent nearly the entire day in the library.

The sun was once again starting to go down. Natsu was running a bit late but just as Erza agreed to join Lucy in her quest, he walked through the door. Happy perched on his shoulder like a bird. He saw all his friends conversing with Lucy and decided that Lisanna was who he wished to be near.

"In what area are these sand dunes?" Erza questioned, wishing to know more about the journey she agreed to take.

"Between the capital and the unfinished rail-line, it's a pretty big place. We are looking for the ancient ruins of Daedalium. The Library was said to be just outside the city." Lucy replied.

"That is very far away, a couple weeks journey, I'd say. That is, if everything goes smooth." Levy piped in.

"I understand if you want to back out." Lucy spoke softly, holding the book to her chest.

"Of course we are going, Lucy! As a matter of fact, we need us all for this." Erza grinned boldly, taking a pause.

She turned around, her eyes landing on a certain wizards. "Natsu will be joining us."

She said that loud enough for him to hear and he did. He turned to her and raised his eyebrow in question. "What?"

"You will be coming with us on a trip, we will need you. There will be no negotiating either, you have no real choice." She looked back to the rest of us. "We leave in the morning, prepare yourselves."

Lucy was confused as to why they needed Natsu, after that fight the day before she wasn't sure how her and him would get along. But she, like every one else simply nodded. Natsu didn't seem to please but Lucy had come to know that you never questioned Erza. It never ended good.

Gray stood up, gesturing for Lucy to follow him. "Better go get started, then."

Lucy trailed behind him a few paces, walking out through Fairy Tail's front doors. The air outside was cooling down as the sun shrank near the horizon.

The two stopped at a near by noodle shop for food, Lucy hadn't eaten a thing all day because she was cooped up in the library. The book was still under her arm, she was determined to keep it with her until she reached the Library of Dweron. They sat near the window as they slurped down their warms soups.

"I don't know why Erza wants Natsu to go with us." Gray spoke up after a few minutes, once their stomachs had at least a small amount of food in it.

Lucy shook her head. "I have no idea. But, I see this as an opportunity."

He tilted his head. "Really?"

"Yes, I will show him I'm a good person. I will show him anything to get his respect." She replied.

Gray almost envied Natsu, the need for the attention from Natsu almost drove her mad. Other than answers, she wanted that more than anything.  Lisanna was right, Lucy talked a lot of Natsu. Which made Gray quite Jealous, though he might never admit it.
