Kaden:

First Transformation.

I looked around my family and lots of my males cousin were in their wolf forms. I was already sweating from nervousness, how worse could it get now?

My great grandfather Leo walked up to me and he smiled, putting both hands on both sides of my neck, "Another wolf joining the family. Are you ready?",

"Not really.", I honestly said, you could hear the nervousness on my voice.

He chuckled once, "Don't worry, we all were nervous and scared for the for transformation.",

"Will...will it's hurt as bad as my dad explain?", I asked.

"No.", he said. "He gave you're the sugar coated version I bet, it feels like your skin ripping off.",

A nervous sound in the back was thought was heard and my eyes widen, "I can't do this.", I said, turning around.

"Hey, hey, I'm just toying with you, Kaden.", Leo chuckled as he turned me back around and patted my shoulders. "It hurts, but not like your skin being ripped off. Most of it's just like heavy pressure, not stinging pain. Once you transformed, the pain will vanish like that.", he said, snapping his fingers.

I put my hand on my stomach, "I think I'm going to be sick.",

He chuckled again, "Stop stressing and enjoy your three hours left of humanity cause the moment the time you were born is the time your going to be a Lycan.", he said, walking away.

That didn't help at all. I looked around and I saw my cousin Marcus climb a tree like he was a squirrel and when he got to the top, he jumped off and landed on his feet smoothly, holding his hand out telling my other cousin to pay up.

I felt an arm go around my neck, tugging at it playfully, "Cousin, man have I missed you.", Levi said. I pushed him away and he laughed, "Ready to turn into a Lycan-Man?'

"Not really.", I admitted. "How'd you feel after you turned? Still freaked out that you could turn into a wolf?",

He put his hand on my shoulder, "You'll feel free, I promise. You'll feel like you could do anything in the world and love it, believe me.". He threw his arms over my shoulder then and leaded me over to a bucket, "Now, it might not matter, but it helps to get drunk as fuck. It'll make things easier.", he said, handing me a can of beer.

I sighed heavily and opened it, chugging it down.

A few hours later...

"She's what?", I asked my dad after he told me what 'Bounder' means. "So that's why I've been so obsessed with her over the years?",

My dad put his hands on my shoulder and shook me, "I'm going to punch Levi for getting you drunk. For the thousandth time, yes. You and Jesse, the girl you've been friends with for almost ten years, is your soul mate and who your suppose to be with for the rest of your life. The wolf instead you choose her for you cause he believes she'll be a perfect match for you.",

"But-but then that means we'll be tied down while we're still teenagers.", I said, feeling emotional for some reason. I'm totally drunk right now. "What is this, the old days were you get married after a week of knowing and die after you have ten children? Like come on.",

"I know, but it's part of the curse.", he said.

"But that isn't fair to me--I mean Jesse. She doesn't deserve to be trap with me forever.", I said.

"Kaden, if you didn't know that girl has been in love with your since you both were little, then your dumb as a you make yourself out to be.", he said and I looked at him confused. I always knew Jesse had a little crush on me, but I never how big it could be. I mean, who could blame her. I am handsome. I cocky grin appeared on my face and my dad looked at me like I was crazy. He slapped me, "Hey, wake up. We don't need you getting all weird on us. It isn't hard to figure out you've been totally in love with her too.",

My grin dropped, "I don't love Jesse like that.",

"Lair.", he said. "Let yourself be in denial, Kaden, but it's true. Your both just really dumb and clueless.",

"I am not clueless, dad.", I said. "Look, is there anyways to change his mind or something? I don't--I mean, Jesse, doesn't deserve to be with me forever. It isn't right.", I asked.

"Well, you could avoid her, but your wolf side will be very upset and pissed at you. He'll make you feel pain and torture you forever about it. He could leaded you to insanity and make you commit suicide.", he said and Kaden stared at him shock.

"Excuse me?", he asked. "Suicide? I wouldn't do that.",

"No, but your wolf will.", he said. "Look, we'll deal with this later. Right now, you have twenty minutes left. We should go get you set up.",

I looked down at the hands and hesitated. It was scary at how much it's freaking me out. I'm afraid actually.

I got up and walked over to where the camp fire was. The strongest men were up there, chains in their hands. I gulped, but nodded to them.

Leo cleared his throat, "Everyone, can you all gather around.", he said, his voice was filled with order. If you would call this a pack, Leo would be Alpha. Slowly people gather around the camp fire, thought making sure to stay at least fifteen feet away for room. "Tonight is another night for one of our boys to turn not only into a man, but a Lycan. We already know how this curse came upon us...", Leo went on telling the story how they were cursed.

Ten minutes later after telling the story, Leo told me to take my shirt off. I did as he said and my dad came up to me and put his hands on my shoulders, "The whole shift will mostly take around ten minutes. You'll be fine.",

I just nodded once, "Okay.",

He took my hands and turned my hands for my palms to be up. He uncuffed the chains and cuffed one of them around my wrist. He did the same with the other wrist and he gave me encouraging pat on the back.

I kicked my shoes and socks off and the last two chains were cuffed around my ankles. My dad chain that around my left hand and three of the strongest males in my family took the other three.

"Two minutes.", Leo said.

I felt a lump in my throat and I had hard time swallowing it. I looked up at the sky and a gulp sound was heard when I saw the moon coming in clean from a cloud blocking it. I felt myself sweating and it actually felt like my blood was starting to boil. I winced at how hot I was feeling and right when the moon was fully uncovered by the cloud, I felt something inside me push forward.

I dropped to my knees, my hands flying up to my abdomen. I felt like my lungs were being pressed down on by stones and I was having a hard time breathing.

The pushing feeling stopped moving forward and it started pushing at my back, making me fall back on my back. I gasp, my eyes budging when I looked up at the sky. My vision closed up on the sky, like everything was 3D and if I reached it, I think I might be able to touched the stars.

I smelt the people around me and I smelt the forest air and the dirt under me! My lungs still felt like they were being crush and when I tried to take a deep breath, my lungs burned, making me stop.

"D...dad...", I wheezed, feeling myself go blurry from the lack of oxygen. I knew what was happening, I was dying. I have to die first then be reborn, well, I'm not really dying, but it'll most likely seem like I am. But it scared me still.

My eyes lids began to feel heavy and next thing I know, I blocked out, everything around me going silenct....

Rrrroooaaarrr!

I heard a very loud roar and my eyes opened quickly, making me sprung up and my head thrown back. I heard it myself, my howling.

Once the howling stopped, I knew it wasn't me anymore. My head dropped down to look at me hand to see them really tensed up and I could my knuckles cracking. I gasp when I saw my nails point up and grew like talons!

Someone pushed me on the side, making me fall at my side. I realized it wasn't anyone, but it felt like someone did pushed me roughly. I had no control of my body as my chest arched forward and I was breathing out my nose heavily. I saw my mom turning Angela around, covering her scared face and I felt horrible for scaring my little sister and my mom.

"Kaden, stop trying to stop it!", Leo yelled.

"I'M NOT!", I roared out, my breathing feeling hard as it sound. My lungs still felt like they were being crushed.

"Yes you are!", he yelled. He came up to me and pushed me on my back, "Close your eyes, boy.", he said, his voice calm and low, but I heard it as clear as day. "Think of her, think of your Bounder. He's trying to come out, but you thinking way to much. He doesn't want you to think, only if it's about her.",

It swallowed hard again and hesitated, but closed my eyes. I did my best to blocked out the burning pain in my body and slowly, everything started to feel numb. I remember one time over the summer when Jesse birthday came up and I got her huge five pound chocolate bar from a candy store in town. Jesse's a chocoholic and she the face she gave me was priceless. Together over two weeks, we finished it together.

Her smile when I gave it to her was huge and her blue eyes sparkled like a child on Christmas. It made me smile to see her that happy and I thought over the years of her glowing smiling. When she looked her worse in sweat pants and messy hair, but even to make, she was still beautiful even though I had to tease her since I'm still a guy and it's what we do.

I was so lost in thought I didn't even realize I was getting up from the floor until my eyes opened, but without being doing it. Now, it literally felt like I had no control and what I mean is, it felt like someone was possessing me and I could only watch and listen.

I looked around to see everyone watching and some look scared. I saw my dad and the others that were holding the chain looking ready as they held onto the chains tightly. Something in me felt anger at them and whatever it was, it pulled my left wrist inwards, but it swung back when my dad pulled.

The thing growled and the whole time, it tried to free me from the chains.

"Shift!", I heard Leo yelled and a scary growl came out my mouth at him. Leo bared his teeth and growled back, "I said shift now! You want to be free, so be free!",

I fell down on my knees and my hands started literally clawing at my skin and I can feel my talon knees cutting my skin. I cried in pain, but the cries didn't come out my mouth.

He stopped clawing and went down on my hands now. My back arched and I could feel my spine moving. If I could be in control of my body, I wouldn't care that I would be making a wuss out of myself for crying.

All I heard was my bones cracking and I felt them move. I looked forward at crowd, looking for nothing. I looked down at my chest and saw hair starting to grow. All around my body hair was growing!

"Leo, do it for god sakes! He needs help!", I heard my dad yell and next thing I know, something pressed against my neck and an electric filled my body! Did he really just taser me?

That pissed whatever it was off cause with the back off my arm, he swung it at Leo and he flew back, but suddenly, something happened. Everything around felt like a spark went off and all the pain I was feel, it vanished. It was blissful.

I had very little control of my body and I looked down to see I had paws! Freaking wolf paws! I looked at my side and saw I had very dark hair, might be black. I had a tail so you know your dog when you have a tail!

I couldn't help but stretch my top half out and stretched the rest of my body.

Something then hit me, a strong smell. I couldn't describe it, but it made me angry. I looked around and noticed it coming from all the males.

You know that saying when your really angry, you see red? Well, I'm seeing it alright and next thing I know, I went running towards my dad.

He let go of the chain and he quickly threw his shirt off. He shifted into a giant wolf like me and attacked me. We snipped at each other, rolling on each others back. He bit down on my neck and I yelped.

I bit at his leg and he yelp, letting go of me. I felt a wolf run up behind me and before I could react, he jumped on my back, biting down on my neck.

I growled and snipped at him as I turned my head, making him get off my back!

I was growing incredibly angry in a way I never thought was possible.

I kept fighting at other wolves and they kept attacking me back. I started to feel exhausted by it and I was slowly feeling weak.

My dad got me down again and bit down on my neck, this time, I stayed down. He hesitated, but let go of my fur neck. He shifted back in his human form, "Good. Now close your eyes, take a deep breath, and think of your human body.",

I did as he said. I closed my eyes and relax. I remembered from earlier when I looked in the mirror as I got out of the shower after my fun cake fighting with Jesse. I heard my bones moved around and this sudden cold air hit my skin, but it didn't make me feel cold or anything. I opened my eyes and I brought my hands up to see they're weren't furry or had talons.

I sat up as Leo brought me a blanket and he patted my shoulder, "Welcome to the crew, Kaden. You're a Lycan now, one of us."

He said, but all I could think about was Jesse.
