I heard some hush voices as I started to wake up. My eyes only opened a little and I was blinded by the lights quickly. I squeeze my eyes shut, feeling a head beginning and I groaned as I brought my hand up to my temple.

I starting hearing a buzzing sound and it felt kind of like cotton was being stuffed in my ear. Oh god does that mean I gone deaf in my right ear? Fear came upon me and I whimpered, feeling my eyes get moist behind my lids.

"Jesse, baby?", I heard my mother voice and I forced my eyes to open a little to look up at my mom face. "My poor baby.",

I propped myself up on my elbows and looked around to see I was in a hospital room. I looked to my left and my parents were there and to my right was Melanie and Kaden. The crazy head ache came back and I brought one of my hands up to rub my temple, "Jeez, I got a annoying head ache.",

Melanie got up, "Want me to get a nurse to get you some Tylenol?", she asked.

"If you don't mind.", I told her, barleying hearing her well.

"Not at all.", she said and walked over to the door and left.

I looked at my parents, "How long have I been out?",

"Only three hours.", my mom told me.

"Okay.", I said. I looked at Kaden, "What happened? I remember Tabby and the other beating me, but it's kind of blank after that.",

He moved to the edge of the chair to be closer to me, "I felt-", he paused, looking at my parents quickly before looking back at me. "I felt like there was something wrong and I heard your scream. I ran out of the field and Melanie followed and Jason came along. When Melanie screamed out, Tabby and the other left and you were taken to the hospital. You passed out the way.",

"Oh.", I said. One of my hands went down to my stomach and lightly took it and I hissed.

Kaden grabbed my hand, "Don't. Two of your ribs are broken and your stomach seriously bruised.",

"And my face?", I asked, my eyes water up.

He looked at my apologetic, "Both your eyes are black and blue and the right side of your lip busted.",

I groaned and covered my face, "Ugh, I must look like a total mess!",

"Why'd Tabby do this to you, Jesse?", my dad asked. "I thought you two were friends.",

"You think causing a fight and getting her a detention for a week and half is friendship?", Kaden growled and I looked at him warningly to be quiet.

"I was just saying.", my dad said. "But why would she gang up on you and do this?",

I sighed heavily, "Cause she was mad cause Kaden wanted to be with me and not her. She's a jealous crazy maniac.",

"Jesse.", my mom said in a warning tone not to be mean.

"It's true!", I said loudly and groaned, my head ache pounding now. "Look at what she did to me, mom! I can't even hear out my right ear!",

Her eyes widen, "What?',

I nodded, "Yeah. All I hear is this slightly buzzing sound.",

"Oh my god.", she cried and got up and spoke as she went over to the door, "If that little bitch damaged you hearing forever, pressing charges is nothing compared to what I'm going to do to her.", she said, leaving before I could ask where she's going.

"Daddy-", I said, looking at him.

"I'm sure she's just going to get a doctor.", he said and gave me a small smile. "At least, I think...", he said and I gave him an uncomfortable look. "She's just being her normal mama-bear self.",

"Can you please just go see where she's going?", I asked pleading and gave him my puppy eyes.

He sighed and got up, "Okay. Even, I think Melanie will be back with your pills. I'll get you a bottle of water.",

"Thanks daddy.", I said and he smiled.

Once he left, Kaden quickly spoke, "Don't worry, Jesse, I'm going to get her back.",

I gave him a confused look, "How? You can't hit a girl, Kaden.",

"Sadly, that was the first on idea on the list.", he said and I looked at him seriously. He shook his head quickly, "No? Okay, just joking anyways. I was more of thinking of scaring her.",

"How?", I asked.

"I'm a wolf that's the size of a horse, you do the math.", he said in a very 'duh' way.

My eyes widen once I realized what he meant, "No, Kaden, you can't!",

"Why not?", he asked. "She's going on some date tonight with this guy, I can scared her after he drops her off.",

"No.",

"Why?",

"Cause it's wrong.", I told him. "Look, getting payback will lead to nothing.",

'You can't let her get away with what she did to you.", he said, his voice harden and he winced as he glared. "She hurt you, Jesse. Do you know how hard it was to control myself once she ran off and not to go after her and tear her to shreds? All I wanted to do was to make sure she felt the same kind of pain you did.",

I didn't know how to respond to that since Kaden had this serious look on his face. I just laid back on the bed and looked down at my bruised arms. "I-I probably look really gross right now.", I mumbled.

He lightly took my hand and kissed the back of it, "You still look beautiful to me.",

I gave him a small smile, but he could tell it was fake behind my sad eyes. I can't believe Tabby did this. My dad was right, I thought Tabby was my best friend, but she went to far now. Ganging up on me was pointless just because she lost her temper and had a hissy fit.

Melanie finally came back and so did the doctors and my parents. He took a few test on me and about an hour later, he came back, "Well, it does look like she did hurt your hearing in right ear.", he said and my mom gasp a cry. He smiled down at her, "Don't worry, it will become normal again. It will take a month though. You can hear out your left fine, right?",

I nodded, "Yeah. What about my ribs?", I asked.

"It takes around maybe to four to eight weeks. So you'll be spending a lot of time home. You don't mind that right?", he asked and I sighed heavily, but nodded my head. "Good. You bruises will take a week to heal or longer.", he went off telling us other things, but I mostly zoned out.

After he was done, a nurse came in and told everyone it was time to go. Doctor said I'm going to have to stay over tonight, but I could go home tomorrow. My mom and dad kissed my forehead and told me goodnight. Melanie gave me the best hug she could give me and told me she'll be at my house tomorrow after school right away to keep my company since Kaden will have more soccer practices.

Kaden asked her to give him a minutes since he was her ride home and she nodded and left the room.

"Promise you'll go straight home?", I asked and he hesitated, but nodded. "Good.",

"It's sad that you wont make it the gathering Saturday. I could have really needed you there-"

"I'm still going Kaden.", I told him and he gave me a disbelief look. "I need to go, I need to be there for it. Even, Helene will want me to or she wont do it without me there and probably tell me we can do it once I get better. I want the curse taken off soon so if anyone in your family gets pregnant, it could be a boy and it wont be turn into a giant wolf once he hits eighteen, Kaden.",

"I don't care about taking the curse off, Jesse.", he said, his voice hard and serious. "I want you to get better.",

"I'm fine.", I told him and he snorted and rolled his eyes. "This gathering happening and I'm going to be there. I'll just sit down threw most of it.",

"You need to be in bed so you can rest.", he said.

I humorlessly chuckled, "Kaden, I can't be trapped in the house all day! I'll go insane. My ribs are broken, not my legs. You can help me leave and all I need is a chair to sit down.",

"No.",

"Kaden-"

"No.",

I scowled up at him and looked straight ahead at the door, "Fine, leave.",

"Jesse, come on-"

"No.", I hissed. "Your treating me like I'm some breakable glass or something. Something you have to keep an eye on or a kid will run past and knock it over. I want to be there and you wont let me. I don't need your permission.",

"No, but like hell your parents will let you.", he said.

"I can always sneak out. They're going to my aunt house over night anyway for my aunt birthday and she leave four hours away. I can always convince them to go without me.", I said.

Kaden didn't speak for a minutes, "You are so stubborn.", he chuckled.

I looked up at him shocked, "Thought you knew that already.",

He sighed heavily, "Fine, you can go, but you'll be sitting down the whole time! No moving or I'm taking your ass home.",

I smiled up at him, "Thanks Kaden.",

He nodded and leaned down, kissing my forehead and my lips, "Get some sleep, you look like shit--like me.", he said and I finally took his exhausted pale look again. I smiled back at him and nodded.

"If Lucian comes back, show him how strong us 21 century people are. Kick his butt.", I told him and he chuckled.

"Will do, Jesse-Bug.", he said, kissing me one more time, but hard.

"Lame.", "Stupid.", "Seen it.", "Boring.", "Stupid show with dumb rerun.", I mumbled as I flipped threw the channels to find something on tv. I groaned, settling on an episode of George Lopez. I sighed and did my best to adjust myself.

I just got home two hours ago and Melanie would be over in an hour.

Ten minutes later and I was incredibly bored. The doorbell ranged and I heard my mom go downstairs. My eyebrows came together in confused, wondering who it was. I checked the time to see what time it was and if I didn't zone out while watching tv since it felt to early for Melanie to be here yet.

And I was right, I couldn't be her.

There was a knock at the door and I told whoever to come in. To my surprise, it was Andria.

"Oh, hey?", I said and my voice filled with confusion.

"You look like shit, no offence.", she said, walking over to me and sat at the edge of my bed. She looked around, "This is a nice...room.",

I chuckled, though it hurt to do so. "Thanks. So, what are you doing here?",

"Kaden called last night.", she said and I raised an eyebrow. She shrugged, "Don't know either, but he told me what happened. I told me yiayia and she made you these.", she said, taking something out of her black purse. In a sandwich bag was packs of tea bags, "These are healing mixes. I had them and they don't really heal, but they make you feel calm and relax, taking the pain away.", she said and put the bag down next to me at the desk next to my bed. She pulled something else out to be a leather looking twisted necklace with a crescent pendent, "And this is suppose to keep any unwanted dreams away. You suppose to give this to your Lycan boyfriend.", she told me.

"Oh, well, that's nice of her.", I told her and she nodded. "Tell her thanks and I'll be there on Saturday.",

She raised an eyebrow, "What? Aren't your ribs broken?",

I shrugged, "So? Doesn't mean I can't be there. I want to be there.",

"Well, you're a really strong girl if you want to.", she said. I looked at her neck and saw two fingerprint bruises. She noticed and rubbed her neck, "I see you had it worse.", she said.

"Yeah, but luckily I can cover it by saying they kicked me there.", I told her.

"I can cover mine up with make up.", she said. "Why'd they do this to you? What me to put a curse on them and gave them tails?", she teasingly said as she smirked. "I can turn them into trolls if I learn the spell.", she sarcastically said.

I tried my best not to chuckle and I had a big smile on my face, "No, no. Apparentally to my friend Melanie text, everyone at school at hates them so I think that's good enough for me.",

She shrugged, "Okay.", she said and got up. She looked around and stopped at my desk. She picked up my year book and stuffed it in her bag, "But a few pimples and rashes wont hurt either.", she said as she went over to my door.

"Andria, don't-"

"You're my friend, Jesse.", she said and I gave her a shock looked. She gave me a small smile, "These witches need to be taught something and it's not like I'm given them tails. Get well and make sure to make those tea bags. My yiayia made them homemade, so you know they're special.",

I gave her a small smile, knowing her putting a curse on the girls wont stop with me trying to convince her. "Okay, thanks for bring them. Bye.",

"Bye, Jesse.", she said and left, closing the door behind her.
