"Why are we out here?", I asked when Joe drags us out in the woods a few minutes away from the lake house.

He turned to me and gave me a serious look, "Remember when I asked you about the two wolves?",

I nodded, confused, "Yeah.",

"What if I told you they were close to you.", he said and my eyebrow forward together.

"What do you mean? I don't hear anything.", I said, looking around and listened around. "And if those wolves are around, we should really get out of here.",

He chuckled and shook his head, "No, not what I meant. I meant, they're close to you as in they're really close like family.",

I chuckled and patted his shoulder, "Joe, I'm not trying to be mean and I only say this cause I love you, but I think you should seek help cause your going a little nuts.",

He chuckled more, "I'm not crazy, Jesse, but I sure wish I was.", he said, stepping back and patted Kaden back. "Jesse, Kaden has to tell you something, don't you son?",

Kaden had this worry look on his face when he nodded, "Yeah. Jesse, me and my dad are...we're both kind of...we're both Lycans.", he said quickly.

I waiting for him to start laughing and say 'joking', but I just stood there, looking at them to see if they had 'kidding' on they're faces so we could all just got back to the lake house laughing our butts off. But they just looked back at me, I started laughing.

They've gone complete nuts!

I knew Kaden was a lot of things, but crazy? Hmm, maybe all those steroids finally did something wrong to his brains cells and he's getting a little delusional. Maybe I should suggest both go in a institution.

I waved my finger at them, "You both are very funny. Now, I can get a ride back home-",

"Should we show you?", Joe suggested.

I crossed my arms over my chest, "Okay, lets say you were. Wolves are dangerous and I like my head attach to my body. Even, can't you only change on a full moon?", I asked, chuckling.

"Normal wolves are dangerous, we're Lycans. We have control ourselves.", he said. "And no, we can shift anytime we want.",

I breathed out my nose heavily from boredom, "Okay, 'shift'.", I said, making air quotes around shift. I'm really starting to question they're sanity.

Joe shrugged, "Okay," he said, his hands going to his pants and my eyes widen. He's actually going to strip naked in the woods!? What a weirdo! He turned around and went behind a tree.

My eyebrows forward together, "Joe?",

Suddenly, a huge black wolf step away from the tree, looking at me. My eyes widen and I squealed so loud, it hurt my ears. Claire out her arm around my shaking shoulders. My body was in fear and I really wanted to run like hell!

The wolf step forward and I made a 'yeap' sound, stepping back.

"Honey, it's okay.", Claire said. "It's Joe, he's not going to hurt you.",

"Hurt me!", I yelled, pointing at the big black fur dog. "There's a wolf right there and your not freaking out? He did something to Joe and we're next!",

I could feel my heart beating quickly as the big wolf stepped closer. I couldn't move my eyes from it and next thing I knew, I passed out, Claire and Kaden crying my name.

I felt someone running they're fingers threw my hair. Remember what I just saw, I sprung myself up, "No, get away.", I cried, covering my face with my arms.

"Jesse, it's okay!", I heard Kaden say as he turned me around. I looked around to see we were back in the lake house. Claire and Joe were in the on the love seat and Kaden and I were on the sofa.

"Wha-what happened?", I asked, looking at Joe and Claire. "Where's the wolf? Your alive!", I said to Joe.

He chuckled, "Jesse, that wolf was me. I changed into the wolf and then you passed out from being on shock.",

My cheeks burned up, "O-oh.", I said, referring to the fainting.

He looked annoyed now, "She still doesn't believe me.",

Kaden turned me to look at me, "Look in my eyes.", he said and I did as he said. His eyes were almost practically purplish-blue now, but as quickly as I could blink, they changed to the grey color like they did last night.

Kaden and Joe can't be-wolves! No, they can't be. Great, now I'm going crazy!

"You-your really a were-werewolf, aren't you?", I nervously and shakily asked.

He nodded and shrugged, "My family and I call our selves Lycans since that's what the Gypsy called us.",

"Gypsy?", I questioned.

"Yeah, the one that cursed us.", he said and sighed. He got up and held out his hand for me, "Come on, we only have an hour and half till it's ten and that's when we have to get back to Hayden. I'll give you're the history of my family.",

I hesitated, but took his hand, "Okay.",

We left the lake house and went up to the lake. We sat down on the two chairs and Kaden sighed long as he ran his hand down his face. I can't believe this, Kaden is actually a werewolf-or Lycan, whatever. He still changes into a dog!

He looked out into the lake where the moon was shinning on, "As you know, my dad side all comes from Romania. In the fifteen century, an ancestor of mine name Lucian, he was kind of a bad boy in his village. He was young in his early twenties, paid for hookers and other things, known from people being danger, and trouble maker.

"He started talking to this fifteen year old girl who's family were Gypsies or Romani people, but Lucian didn't know this and one night, Lucian forced himself on her--raped her. The girl mother was so angry, so she placed a curse on my family. Back then, our family name was Lupei, meaning wolf, which is where she got the idea. She put a cursed on all the males to turn in to a wolf, it was a punishment and you can get killed for it since the town people would think you were a spawn on the devil or something.", he said and rolled his eyes as he snorted.

"Anyways, there another thing she did. To protect all the women ever in the world from getting hurt by my family males, she made sure that a Lycan can only be with one women forever for the rest of his life. His Bounder.",

"Bounder?", I asked. "What is a 'Bounder'?",

"You heard of wolf mating, right?", he asked, looking up at me.

I nodded and raised my eyebrow, "Yeah, it's like where two wolves have to be together, right?",

He nodded, "Yeah, but to my family, it's called Bounder. We're suppose to be with one girl for the rest of our life. Back then our family was poor, so if one of the Lycans Bounder was rich, they couldn't be together of the status. So, the Lycan will go mad, insane, loose all hope of living and kill himself. It was another punishment. Back then was so complicated so the Lycan has to hope for his Bounder to be in the same class or he wont be able to be with her. Are you getting what I'm trying to say? Both ways are curses.",

I nodded, getting what he meant, "So you great-whatever got a curse on your family and now you change into a wolf whenever you want. Can't you just get another Gypsy to take if off you?",

"My family has tried that and no luck. It has to be the Gypsy that cursed us or a family member and we have no idea where or who they are now.", he said and snorted. "The curse starts to happen a week before the boy eighteen birthday--the day he turns into a man. That week I was out was because I was turning and because for the first couple of times, I have no control of myself. That family reunion was for my first turning. The whole family we know was there to watch. ",

"So that's why I heard you screaming when I came over.", I said and he nodded. "I thought--I thought Joe was beating you or something.",

He chuckled, "No, but he did chain me up.", he said and my eyes widen. He chuckled more, "Don't worry, he had to or I would have been going around town in my wolf form and that would not be pretty.",

I chuckled nervously, "Yeah, that wouldn't have been.". I frowned now, "Why are you telling me this? And why now?",

He bit his lower lip as he looked away at the lake again for a moment before sighing and looked back at me, "Cause, you're my best friend. I was going to tell you last night, but you kind of know what happened.",

Yeah, he came to the party, got angry, ran in the woods, Logan and I went after him, a wolf came...

I gasped, my eyes widen. I sprang up from the chair, "You did it! You hurt Logan!",

He had guilt and regret written on his face as he looked at the grass, "Y-yeah, it was me.",

"Why?", I asked, crossing my arms over my chest, feeling angry now. I can't believe this, the wolf that hurt Logan was my best friend! Why would he do that? If he wanted to be mad at someone, it should have been me.

"When I get angry, I block out just a little. My wolf side takes control and when you threw the stick, I blacked out. Next thing I know, I see Logan pants cuts up and he's bleeding and that's when I ran.", he said. He looked up at me, "Jesse, I'm so, so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt him, only to scare him. But my wolf side doesn't like him touching you. Lycans are very protective and possessive of they're-",

"Oh they're what?", I asked. "Best friend of who you just lost.", and with that, I turned around, but I felt his warm hand grab my wrist.

"No, of their Bounder.", he said.

I froze, eyes wide. He did not just say that.

"You're my Bounder, Jesse. My soul mate, the only girl I can be with, the girl I want to be with. You've always been here ever since I was nine years old. I have always felt so close to you, but never understood why until I turned eighteen. But I think I was in love with you already before, but never wanted to admit it to myself.", he said.

I'm so confused right now. I'm really angry with Kaden right now and I can't think. Why is he telling me all this and why now? And he's in love with me? What the hell is that about? I love him, but in a friend way...I think.

I snatched my wrist away, "I want to go home, Kaden.",

"We should talk first, Jesse. I was going to tell you last night until I found out you went to the party. That's why I went to your house last night so we could talk.", he said. "Please, Jesse, you're my best friend. Don't let what I am ruin our friendship.",

I turned around, "Don't make me feel guilty, Kaden. You should have told me sooner before I was with Logan.",

"I didn't want this life for you, though. Before I turned, I want you to have nothing but a normal life. I wanted you to graduate, go to college, get married, and have bunch of kids. Bounding hard though, and I can't stay away from you. I want to always be around you cause you make me feel better. I thought I could continue our friendship, but seeing you with him is killing me.", he said.

"So what are you saying, Kaden?", I asked, my voice raising. "Drop Logan to be with someone who only wants me because of some curse? I don't think so.",

He didn't look happy, "Logan isn't right for you.", he hissed out his teeth. "I am. I'm as much as your Bounder as you are to me. You belong to me and I belong to you.",

I scowled him, "I belong to no one, Kaden! I'm not some object.",

He gave me a humorless chuckle, "You belong to me more then you think, Jesse. My wolf side cries your name all the time and being a Lycan means I can take what is mine back and I don't even need to force you. You'll come running to me when you feel like your lost and I can make you feel better. You can't say you feel closer to me then ever to, it affects you also.",

My cheeks redden up and I looked away, "I want to go home now, Kaden.", I said and turned around and went over to his car and got in the passenger seat. I looked out the window when he got in and I quickly turned on the radio when he turned on the car.

When I grabbed the handle to opened the door when the car got up to my house, Kaden quickly leaned over and shut the door when I opened it a little. I glared at him, "Move your hand.",

He stayed where he was, his face only inches away from mine, "No," he whispered to me as his newly blue eyes looked into mine.

Ugh, stop looking at me like that!, I yelled in my head, hoping that passion face look would leave.

"I know you want me to kiss you.", he whispered, slowly leaning closer to me.

I shook my head, "No," I said, but it came out as a whispered. Jeez, I hate how I'm getting lost in his eyes. Sounds cheesy, but it's like they're just holding me still.

He brushed his lips against mine and I could feel myself slowly caving in. Why does his lips have to feel so soft right now? Why do they feel so kissable, making me want to feel them again? God, I hate him for doing that.

I thought of Logan and how much this could hurt him. I bit my lower lip and pushed him away, but when I went to the handle again, he grabbed my left shoulder and pushed me back against the seat, pressing his lips down mine roughly.

I just stood there eye widen for a second, shocked. Ugh, his lips felt so full and inviting. I closed my eyes and kissed him as I wrapped my hands round his neck and he wrapped one of his hands around my neck.

A moments later, he pulled away a little, "See, I told you, you would want me.",

Feeling angry at him and myself, I pushed him away, "Jerk!",

I finally got out of the car and I walked quickly over to my house. Kaden got out the car, fallowing behind me, "Jesse, wait. I'm sorry, but I couldn't help myself.",

I stopped at my door and turned around, pointing at a finger at him, "Stay away from me for now on, Kaden!",

He looked shocked, "But Jesse-",

"No!", I yelled. "I'm with Logan now.",

"I want you though, Jesse.", he yelled back. "We're meant to be together and-",

"Shh!", I hissed. "My parents are inside and I don't want them to hear you!",

He rolled his eyes, "I know this is very hard, but it's true. I love you and even though you don't want to admit it, I know you love me to more than a friend.",

I scowled at him and step forward so he'll only be the one to ehar, "I'm locking my window tonight so don't think of coming over tonight.", I said, turning around and opened my door.

But before I could close it, he said, "I'll stay out here all night if I have to!",

"Have fun!", I said back and slammed the door in his face.
