" I did not die, and yet I lost life's breath"

I was awaken by a tender cold water srprinkled at my face. I slowly open my eyes as the sound of the splashing water seep through my ear. It Sounds calming. I adjust my vision from blurr and these familiar fountain greeted me. Why am I here? I was at home earlier?

I survey my surrounding, the trees around the garden that sway accordance with the cold breeze, the plant flowers that starting to bloom that gives fragrance to the air. The benches filled with students talking and laughing together. Everyone are stranger to me but this one girl sitting down at the bench alone and writing something from a notebook caught my attention. 

I slowly approach her and tried to call her name.

"Camille?"

However, she did not heard a thing. She's busy writing and since I know she doesn't know I exist just beside her. I peek at her notebook.

           October 1 ,2016 ? Is she writing a diary? I bow my head closer to her to read but her pretty face distruct me. Her smiling face that can capture every eyes and can touch hearts. She looks gleeful and easy to be friend. We both jumped and got startled when we heard someone spoke. She immediately close her notebook. It's cover is a plain Red with her name at the bottom. Camille Jorge.

I Stand up straight and walk few step back to view them better. I look to the guy that spoke earlier. He is carrying his Sketch pad like usual and sit down beside Camille.

"Why are you alone? 

Cjay crossed his legs and open his sketch pad carefully to the empty page. Feeling like he doesn't want Camille see it's content.

"Well, I just like to be alone. Besides, I need to give him alone time with the boys."

"Wow! What a kind girl you are. Anyway,  have you said yes to him?"

"Not yet?"

"Not yet? Why?"

I walk closer to them behind Cjay. I watch him as he drew the beautiful fountain. He stop and close the sketch pad when he heard Camille took a deep sigh.

"I don't know. I like him, no, I love him a lot but there's something that stop me to carry forward my feelings and make him my boyfriend. I just felt wronged, everything is wrong."

I walk to their front. Camille is looking straight to me, I mean at the fountain and Cjay is looking at her with pain in his eyes? Sadness? I am not sure.

"You should be sure of your thoughts and feelings, Camille. You only live once. Life is unfair I know, don't live hurting yourself to make others happy. We sometimes need to hurt them for our own happiness."

I was stunned. Cjay delivered it differently but the meaning was the same with Camille.

"Why? Are you willing to hurt others for your own happiness?"

Camille turn to him and they gaze at each others eyes for few moments but Cjay is the first one that revoke. He can't stare at her for long.

"It depends at situation. Therefore, I can see her happy and I will stay still. I will wait until she notice me finally and when that happens. I can hurt anyone for my, our happiness. Yet, not physically."

I know the message wasn't for me, yet I feel touch and jealous at the same time. I know this wasn't right. I have Jungkook but my heart always beat fast to Cjay. Everything was wrong, I guess. Just like with her.

"Anyway, what is that?"

Cjay snatched the red notebook from Camille's hand and opened it gradually. She tried to reach the notebook but he is taller and raising his both hands as he read. But Camille did not lose hope and get over the bench and tried to catch the notebook again from Cjay but she stop when she noticed his scowling face.

"What is this? Did Jin really hurt you?"

He pulled Camille's wrist with the pink cloth bracelet. She wince because of pain but Cjay did not bother and inspected the bruise.

"The hell? Why did you hid this from me? I will give that guy a lesson!"

He let go of Camille's hand and turn his back to leave but Camille chase and grab his arm. I also tried to stop and grab but I just seep through him, I can't touch him.

"It's already done Cjay. Do you think if you hurt him my bruise would be gone? No. So just stay here with me okay. This is just a small bruise. I am still alive, okay! "

Cjay  took a deep breath to calm himself . Camille pulled him back at the bench then they both sit down. She pouted her lips and stare at him. Cjay stroke his browse.

"What?"

"I felt so disadvantage!"

"What? Why?"

"You saw my diary but you never let me see your sketch pad.!"

Cjay wander his eyes and become restless.  He bit his lower lip and think for a moment.

"Okay! Okay! But one page only since I only read one page from your diary!"

"Wow! But let me decide which page!"

"No, no. That's unfair!"

Camille abruptly clench her fist near his face still smiling.

"Let's play rock, paper, scissor! If you won, you will decide what page you show me, if I won, I will guess a number and you will show it to me! No cheating! Okay? "

What a great deal. I told myself. They look very close, closer than we. Cjay doesn't have a choice and just play with her and She won.

"Okay! Hmm, Seven?"

Cjay, snort and scratch his head before he started to browse the pages. Camille count every pages without looking until it reach Seven. I quickly run near to Cjay and peek. I was speechless, he really have talented hand. The drawing looks real. He drew Camille smiling while gazing to nothingness fantastically!

The situation became awkward. I don't know if I my presumption is right but I saw how Camille's white pinkish cheeks becomes red. Cjay stand up and closed his sketch pad.

"Now, you see my sketch pad! We need to go back to class. "

Camille also stanf but caught his attention. He turn to her and stroke his brows.

"About the diary, can you promise me not to tell anyone?"

"Sure." Cjay smile at her and walk step closer.

"Promise?  Forever?"

"Forever!"

He messed her long black hair and she giggles. I watch them walk away from me but I like to see more. Yet, I can hear someone calling my name. I look around me but I see noone.  Then heard it again until the calling gets louder and faster. I cover my ears and shut my eyes then the calling stop. I slowly open my eyes then I found myself inside my bedroom and it's mom who's calling me.

" Poison, poison, poison."

I recite repeatedly. That clue is making me crazy and paranoid because myself become really careful with the food I am eating. I'm afraid I will be the next victim, I am not sure. I also brought my own lunch for safety precaution.

I went to the cafeteria to look for Amari because she often eat there in the morning before class but she's not there so I went up to our classroom and I swiftly get closer to her and sit down beside her. 

"Not yet"

I almost tweak my own hair when I heard her statement. How long does she going to play with me? I feel so restless. I go out the classroom again to look for the rest and every time I found one. I ask them to be careful with food and some of them laugh at me and said I'm weird.

I warned everyone aside from Jade. She still don't come to school but the teacher said they are trying to interact with the family to know Jade's situation.

The class ended and nothing went through my head. I was busy thinking who will be the next victim. I don't like to fail one more time. I don't want to see anyone dying.

Finally, the bell rang.

I run to the door and close it then stop them from getting out the classroom.

"Guys! Listen! We should be careful with food! Can we just all stay here and don't eat?"

They all throw me their confuse and curious glare. Then there's Vanessa who pull me away from the door then everyone get out. I felt an arm on my shoulder. It's Jungkook. 

"I'll stay here with you just like what you said. "

I looked up to him and smile. Jungkook is very obedient to me or should I say he just wanted to be always beside me so he do what I say.

It's only me, Jungkook, Suga and Amari left in the class. Well, Imani went out to eat and Suga like to sleep.

I sit down on my respective chair. Jungkook followed and sut down too. I get my sandwich from my bag and offered him some.

I watch him eat the sandwich happily while I cannot bite one. I am worried about my classmates. They are all eating and the clue is poison.

"Zephyr!"

I speedily stanf up and almost fly to get near Amari. She handed me a paper with her sad face. I did not waste any moment and read.

I wasting away sit down on the chair beside her. What does these mean? Three will die today? By poison or a car? Which J? Jimin, Jungkook, Jhope and, Jade?  How can I save Jade? I don't even know where she is. And C? Cjay? Why Camille will kill him? They are close and all! Then A?  Asyla? Well, Camille will not hurt Amari since she is her favourite.

"Move now Zephyr time is ticking."

What the fuck! How could I save three people in a day? I quickly move and approach Jungkook.

"Babe, please stay here. Don't go anywhere. I'll be back soon, okay?"

Jungkook nodded and continue to eat the sandwich. I went out the room after and look first for Cjay and Asyla. They are both at the garden eating together. I approached them and inspect. I sigh of relief when I saw they are fine. Still, I warned them to be careful with food and crossing the road.

I next went to the cafeteria and I saw Jimin, Jhope, Vanessa, V, Lucia and Imani altogether. They are also eating and they look fine. Still, I warned them to be careful with food and crossing the road. I saw Stephanie too and she's eating alone. Then I saw Amari, also there at cafeteria eating chocolate cake. I didn't notice her went out the room. I sit down beside her so tired and survey the surrounding when one student suddenly fainted. The other students become noisy while some help the girl that fainted then the others fainted too. I stand up to help but Amari grip my hand and when I glance to her. Her cheeks become pale, either her lips and suddenly fainted.

Poison!

I shouted for help, Jhope approach me but after few moments, Lucia also shouted when Jimin fainted too! Is camille doing a mass killing? Just thankful that V was there with Jimin so he help and carry him piggy back and Jhope did the same with Amari. I saw her doll fell off the floor but I did not bother to pick it up. Therefore, I suddenly remember her words. "Why did you ignore?". A sudden guilt kick and I pick up the doll then follow Jhope. 

However, I stop when I heard someone asking for help from the garden. Cjay also almost fainted on her arms. I swiftly draw near to them.

"What happened ? Poison too?"

"No! Allergy, I forgot he has allergy to nuts and I gave him a food with it!"

"Come, I 'll help you, let's take him to the school clinic."

"No! We need to take him to the hospital.  He did not brought his first aid medicine. Help me, quick!"

I put down the doll on bench. Asyla hang his left arm on her nape and mine is the right arm. Cjay is quite heavy but we manage to take him out the school gate.  The school is a mess. So many student's got poisoned. I looked back when I heard somebody calling my name. We are now at the street calling a cab at the opposite lane of school.

"Hey! Where are you going? School have first aid for poison! Com'on take him in!"

It was Jhope. He came to give help but Cjay's situation is different.

"No, get back to school now and help others. Tell Jungkook I'm going at the hospital. Cjay got an allergy! This is an emergency! "

I shouted to Jhope. He smiled as he heard my answer.  He shouted back to us.

"I have allergy too. I have medicine here! Let him take one before you go to the hospital."

Then no warned he crossed the road. He's smiling wide at the thought that he could helped but a black tinted car hit him strong. The screeching sound of the car's rubber wheel and the loud thud of the car as it hit Jhope made me deaf. I saw him roll over the road for mulitiple times and when he stop the blood spill from his head.

I hopelessly gaze at Jhope's lifeless body on the road. Then a cab came at front of us.  Asyla, Quickly get in and I help her to bring inside Cjay. Therefore I did not come with them. The cab leave speedily and I fell down the dirty pavement of the street.  Warm tears fell off my cheeks. Jhope died in one snap, Amari, Jimin and CjaY were poisoned.

I screamed like crazy as tears continue to flow on my cheeks down to my neck. I smack my legs hard because of anger. 

"I am a failure! I am useless! I didn't save them! Just kill me too! Kill me now! " I shouted through the pain.

"Is their sins enough for you to kill them this way?"

I hugged my knees and continue to cry when someone embrace me. It's Jungkook. I know, I errand him to stay inside but I guess he heard the news about the poison and the car accident so he went out. I like to nag at him for not being obedient therefore I know, I need him now. I need someone to make me feel safe.

"It's okay Zeph, don't cry. I am here."
