Trying Their Hardest
It was study period and I was sitting in the gardens, reading a book.
"Umm, Alex?" I looked up to see the Kou cosplayer.
"Oh, hi.....Kou." I say as I return to my book.
"I know we sound crazy, but is there any way we can convince you?" He asks. I shake my head.
"Sorry, but that story is absolutely ridiculous. Until you can provide me substantial evidence, I can't believe you." I say as I get up.
"Sorry." I wave as I walk back inside. He frowns as he sits where I was sitting, mumbling to himself sadly. I felt kind of bad, but I just COULDN'T believe them, not without proof.
Third Person POV:
The boys frowned as they approached Kou.
"I'll take it that didn't go well." Reiji sighed.
"Yeah, it didn't." Kou pouted.
"Don't worry, if we just keep trying, we'll get her to see, I promise." Laito smiled determinedly. They knew that they could win their love over, they just had to keep trying. She hadn't given up on them and there was no way they'd give up on her.
Alex's POV:
School was over now and I was heading home. I shivered.....it was that feeling again. I spin around to see all six of the 'Sakamaki brothers' behind me.
"Ok, WHY do I keep running into you? Are you stalking me?" I say. They shake their heads.
"No, we just live down this road." They say. I get a feeling they're lying, but give them the benefit of the doubt.
"Alright then." I shrug.
"Care if we walk with you?" Laito asks. I shrug again.
"Rather talk to you than have you walking quietly behind me." I sigh. They seem elated and walk with me.
"So, are you liking the school so far?" I ask them. They nod.
"It's not as good as our old one, or as convenient, but it does have one thing that makes it amazing." They smile.
"What?" I ask.
"Well, it's a secret." Ruki smiled.
"Tell meeeee." I pout. They all turn a light shade of pink and smile.
"Sorry, no can do." Ruki sighed.
"FINE!" I sighed. When we reached my house, I wave goodbye.
"Bye Alex." They all wave as they continue down the street. I smile as I enter my living room. I wonder if there's any chance those guys were telling the truth...only time will tell....or maybe not. Just because I WANT it to be true, doesn't mean I should be so trusting without evidence.
~Time skip to night time, brought to you by 'Cosplaying Vampires'~
I sat up, feeling a horrible thirst. I stumbled into my kitchen and tried to drink some water, but it didn't help. My mouth felt different, so I stumble into the bathroom and scream. I.HAD.FANGS.
My head was reeling. So the boys might have been telling the truth after all.....
I wondered around the streets until I, coincidentally, bumped into one of them.
"Alex?" Subaru asked. He saw my fangs and his eyes widened.
"Let's take you back to the guys, alright?" He asks. I nod and allow him to lead me to an abandoned house.
"GUYS!" He shouts. The twelve walked into the room, and perked up when they saw me.
"Alex!?" They cried. I felt my thirst increase.
"Well.....she's a vampire." Subaru sighed.
"Oh man...and it's the full moon." Laito sighed. The thirteen sighed, knowing the thirst increased horribly during the full moon.
"It...hurts." I coughed. They sighed knowing what they had to do.
"I got it." Laito sighed. He took my hand and led me outside. He held out his wrist.
"Drink." He said. I shook my head.
"I....can't" I gasped. No WAY I could bite someone. LET ALONE DRINK THEIR BLOOD!
"Alexandra, I'm telling you to drink, DO IT." He snapped. I shook my head and he shoved his wrist in my mouth. Out of my control, I began drinking. He eventually, much like I suspected, passed out from the blood loss. I picked him up surprisingly easily and walked back inside.
"So, I hope this is evidence enough for you to believe us." Reiji sighed as I layed Laito on the couch.
"Alright, I can see how this would certainly be evidence, and I am starting to believe you, because I did NOT have these when I went to bed." I sighed with an awkward laugh.
"I'm just surprised no time had passed here." Ruki sighed.
"Yes, that is quite strange." Yuma nods. I sigh.
"OH MY GOSH WHY CAN'T LIFE EVER BE EASY!" I groan. They laugh.
"Well, I guess we'll get to experience things on the other side of the fang, won't we?" Kou smiled.
"Umm, it isn't exactly fun for me either." I say.
"You're telling me you don't enjoy the taste? The sensation?" Ayato asked with a smirk.
"Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying." I state finally. He rolls his eyes.
"Only you Alex, only you." He laughs.
"Hey, since you're here, wanna just stay the night?" They asked hopefully.
"School tomorrow, I can just go back home, I'll be fine." I reply hoping they'll buy it.
"No, you aren't, you're not going to school until you get that under control. What if you have a moment during class? How will you explain it?" Reiji says. I sighs and flop onto the couch in tears.
"Alex, umm, p-please don't cry!" Kou shouted.
"Why are you crying?" Yuma asked in a concerned tone.
"I bit someonnnnneeeeee......." I sobbed.
"Alex, it was Laito. We can all probably assume he enjoyed it...." Ayato sighed.
"B-but he's unconscious!" I cried.
"So? Besides, this is probably pay-back for all the people we made pass out from blood loss." Subaru adds.
"B-but-" Kanato put his finger to my lips, quietening me.
"You're staying here, and that's final." They said. I sighed as I slumped on the couch. I felt the thirst start to return and buried her face in the couch.
"What's wrong Alex?" Subaru asked.
"N-nothing." I gasped.
"I think.....she's thirsty again." Ruki sighed.
"N-no." I replied. Damn this full moon.....
"I got it this time." Ayato sighed. I guess he knew I'd refuse, because before I knew it, I smelt an intoxicating scent that only made the thirst worse. He held his bleeding hand in front of me, and I felt awful.....but I bit into his wrist and began draining his blood. Before long, he, too, was unconscious. I stared at the two sleeping people with a sigh.
"WHY ME!?" I cried falling back onto the couch. The boys smiled as they watched my exasperated state......weirdos.
~Time Skip~
Third Person POV:
They watched the girl's sleeping form as they conversed with their now conscious brothers.
"Was it bad?" The others asked. Ayato and Laito shook their heads.
"Not too bad. It hurt, but it was actually pretty exciting to see her like that.~" Laito sighed.
"Laito, your always excited...." Ayato snapped.
"You mean to tell me you didn't get a....rush?" Laito breathed.
"Don't get me wrong, it definitely wasn't UNsatisfying...." Ayato said recalling the rush he did indeed feel.
"See? I recommend the rest of you experience this, it certainly is a must~" Laito smirked.
"Although, probably only to us. We do enjoy pain more than most." Reiji said adjusting his glasses. The others nodded. But, this couldn't have worked out better. She now had reason to believe them, and they had a reason to be near her~
