Third Person POV:

No body made a move

No body made a sound

Everything was silent

Hinata and Neji was froze from when Hinata made his move to attack. However there was an impact at it was clear that there was a hit, but who?

Naruto was staring with anticipation as sweat drop was falling. The sand ninjas was watching as they were also waiting for what happen. Everyone was watching as they were too focus on the match that they wouldn't focus on anything else. Everything was silent until-

"GAH!"

Blood...Hinata coughed out blood. 'As I thought, this is the extent of it, the head family's power!' Neji thought. "What the-?! But Hinata laid a perfect strike!" Naruto yelled. Y/n's eyes widen as he see Hinata breathing hard as there was blood coming out of his mouth. "H-Hinata..." His fingers was twitching.

'N-Not yet!' Hinata quickly moved Neji's hand as he went for a strike but suddenly Neji caught Hinata's arm. But yet when he caught his arm, he punctured a part of Hinata's arm. Lee gasp a little as he saw it as well. 'What's with this kid!' Kakashi thought. 'I-It can't be.' Kurenai thought. "Oh you got to be kidding me." Zabuza growled.

Neji pulled Hianta's sleeve as it was exposed that Hinata has some red dots on his arm. Hinata gasp as he saw the marks. "Y-You mean all this time." Hinata said as it came to realization what Neji was really doing. "That's right! I can see the Chakra Points." Neji said.

"W-What is he talking about?!" Naruto questioned. "He can see Chakra Points?! Is that what the marks are on Hinata's arm?" Y/n never heard about that either as he couldn't get his eyes off of the marks. "Yes, on the Chakra Network there are 361 energy centers or Chakra opening, each about the size of the head of a pin. They're called Chakra points." Kakashi answer as Zabuza decided to join in.

"If you hit one directly then it can halt or increase Chakra flow, enabling one to gain complete control over an opponent's flow of chakra. However only those eyes the two of them have can see them. Kakashi's Sharingan can't see them." Naruto gasp a little as Haku was caught off with the last information. "To have the penetrating eye is one thing, but to hit it with that much accurately during a match..."

Neji made a move as his palm knocked Hinata back as he gasp before he got knocked down. Neji walked forward as he stared at him. "Look Hinata...what we have here is an unchangeable difference in abilities. It's what distinguishes the elite from the failure."

Hinata was trying to catch his breath as he look at Neji. "It is brute, unalterable fact. You were destined to regret having said that you don't want to run anymore, the instant you said it. And now, you must have abandoned yourself to despair!" Hinata looked away as he was controlling his breathing. "This is your ultimatum! Withdraw!"

"I-I..." More blood was spilling. "I meant it...and am sticking by..." Neji's eyes was shaking a little from his words. "Every word...I said! I even made a promise!"

'I'm not gonna run away!'

'Then let's follow our dream together!'

'H-Hinata!' Y/n thought. "Because that's my Way of Ninja!" Hinata smiled, he got up as he was still breathing hard but he was still glaring at Neji. Y/n's gasp as he saw Hinata moved his head and was staring at him and smile.

"I had no idea...Hinata was this tough." Naruto said. "You shouldn't have underestimated him." Everyone turn as it was Y/n who was smiling while looking back at Hinata. "He never wanted to backed down. Since he made...a promise." Y/n brought out his pinkie. It was then at it clicked to everyone. Hinata made a promise to Y/n.

Hinata smiled once more, before he glared at Neji and activated his Byakugan. Neji caught the glare at he activated his. "Bring it on!"

Hinata hold his chest as he suddenly coughed out some blood. It caught so many people's attention. 'He has reached his limit. One more blow and he's done.' Kurenai thought.

Neji caught into his stance. 'The boy was able to hit the other boy's Chakra Points have completely halted his flow of Chakra. That means he can no longer send Chakra into his opponent's body to fight in the Gentle Fist. This match is as good as over.' Zabuza thought, 'Who would've thought that there was someone with that much skill. That Uchiha lid would loose easily, but he would be trouble for my brat.'

'It looks as if Neji may very well take this exam. It's going to take more that what the boy has to bring him down.' Guy thought.

Gaara was watching the match but something's wrong. Gaara was twitching, his body and his eyes was twitching as he was standing there while watching the match.

"I don't like the look of his eyes. He might very well try to hurt Hinata." Haku said. Naruto was growling a little as his eyes was shut. He was holding the ointment hard. "Go, Hinata!" Y/n yelled as his eyes was closed while he was cheering.

'Y/n...!' Hinata thought as he was breathing hard. 'The strength is coming back to his eyes.' Neji stand guard. It was then that Hinata charged at Neji. 'I've been inspired by you two.' Hinata made the first move as Neji dodge and goes to strike but Hinata didn't give him a chance he went for a kick. Neji bend over as he barely dodged it and countered with a low kick. Hinata did a cartwheel as he dodged it and charged to attack.

'You two have been inspiring me for years now!' Neji palm came as Hinata use his arm to block it and use his other palm to strike. The two of the went to hit one another as each hit's was either dodged, countered, or nearly hit. 'I wondered why?'

Flashback Jutsu:

It was back then as when because of Naruto's tardiness, everyone was lined up to do the transformation technique. Sasuke was done as he moved to the side. "Next up is Naruto Uzumaki!" Iruka-sensei called out.

"What a pain!" Shikamaru complained. "This is your fault." Ino said "Like I care!" Naruto said before he went up. 'N-Naruto, do your best.' Hinata thought in hope.

"Transform!"

Next time Jutsu:

'Yep she's definitely a cat person.' Y/n thought to himself. He read more as even if the names were unique, it did help him a lot as it well helping on how to have a better control of his sword since it was similar to his mom.

He was in the backyard, where there was some open space that's good enough for Y/n to train. He decide to check his mom's fighting style along with learning her jutsu.

He read some as he was able to understand the key thing about her fighting style. She can deliver multiple powerful blows to her target while maintaining immense speed, agility and flexibility. So her main strength is taijutsu.

Thankfully the person who owned the house before him had some dummies left as they didn't take them so this can help him. He decide to go with the first jutsu, Shivers of First Love. It's a simple jutsu as you dash forward and release some slashes.

Y/n focus as he tries to add his chakra into his sword making the blade bend to where it's now a whip. So far he was having a hard time on maintain it. At first he only did it the first time because he no control of his feelings as anger took control. However now he just need to focus otherwise if he only use it out of anger he could hurt his team.

The blade bend as he was now ready to try. "Whelp here goes nothing."

Unknown to him Hinata came across seeing him as he caught Y/n pulling out a sword that he never saw. He was amazed by how beautiful it was and to know being able to see some of Y/n's training.

"Love style: Shivers of First Love"

Present Time Jutsu:

'When I saw you more Y/n, I was able to understand you more...' Hinata bend over to dodged Neji's attack. He took it as an opening as he moved to the ground and went for a low sweep kick. 'Even through what people said about you're appearance. You're hair, how strong you look compare how you look, you always smile and never let it get to you.'

Hinata was slowing down more and more as Neji was moving quicker. But despite the speed difference, Hinata was still able to dodge Neji's attack and try to counter it. Waiting for an opening for a quick second to strike. 'That's why...I'm gonna do the same!'

Hinata went for a hit as Neji countered it and hit Hinata. "Hinata!" Y/n said as Hinata was pulling back. He gripped on to his jacket as he was coughing while closing his eyes hard. 'At some point, Hinata, who was in the habit of just giving up, made up his mind to change.' Kurenai thought.

Flashback Jutsu:

It was a training field as there was no one other than Hinata being there. There was cut out trees, each of them had a training fabric wrapped around the tree. There Hinata is training on his combat as his team mates were done but they were waiting for him.

"Hey, Hinata. It's time to go home." Kiba said while Shino was staying quiet and Akamaru was taking a nap. Hinata wasn't listening as he was continuing his training on his Gentle Fist.

'She put every ounce of her being into his training. I saw it with my own eyes.'

Hinata was sweating as he was continuing on practicing his Gentle Fist. There was some small blood stains as they were from Hinata using so much force that it was hurting his hands a little.

'But even so, he still fail some of his missions. Struggling against opponents and becoming discourage.'

Hinata was on the ground as his knees was tucked in and his head was down.

Present Time Jutsu:

'But today's Hinata is different. I have never seen that look in his eyes before.'

Hinata was breathing hard as he again charge at Neji. 'Naruto...Y/n...I have always done the watching up to now, but, now, finally...finally, I am...Y/n!'

Neji suddenly had enough as he made a big move as it hit Hinata. There was a stream of Chakra from the attack as Hinata froze from his place. Slowly Hinata's Byakugan was turning off as-

"Gah!" Hinata spit out blood, before he fell down. Y/n's eyes widen as well as Lee's eyes. Kurenai was shaking a little from seeing her student like this. Naruto was shaking from seeing Hinata falling to the ground and spitted out blood again.

"You just don't get it, do you? Your strikes were ineffective from the very first. It's the end." Neji turned off his Byakugan as he walk away. 'Hinata, that's enough. You lost the match, but you've become a new person in the process. You did well.' Kurenai thought as she smile at Hinata.

Y/n couldn't think as he was remembering what Hinata said. 'I want to change that about myself, so I proposed it myself.' "H-Hinata..."

"Neji's final blow went straight for the heart. I feel sorry for him, but he won't be standing again now." Guy said as it made Naruto angry. He clenched on the healing ointment that it started to crack.

Hinata was still laying on the ground as the Spectator made his way up and see that Hinata was still on the ground. "As further fighting is not feasible under these conditions-"

"Don't stop it!"

Everyone turn and see that Naruto was yelling at him. "Don't stop the match! Believe it!" Naruto yelled. "Naruto? Wait..." Y/n turn as he gasp. Haku gasp as well as Gaara took his head back a little. Everything gasp as Neji couldn't believe it, "What?"

Hinata...was getting up. Slowly he was getting up but shaking while trying to. When he got up, he stumble a little but was able to regain his balance. Breathing hard while holding his side.

"Why do you stand up?" Neji questioned, "If you continue like this, you'll really die!"

'He is now finally for the first time truly seeing me. I will not be caught looking bad...' Hinata thought. 'Why?!...in front of the person I admire most.' Hinata look at Neji in the eyes. Neji was taken back by the look but regain himself as he activated his Byakugan.

Kurenai gasp as she couldn't believe it. "I-I am far from finished!" Hinata declared. "Give up the bravado. I can tell you're just barely standing. You've shouldered the lot of having been born to the head family line of the Hyuga, and cursed and blamed yourself for being weak..." Neji said as he paused himself. "But people cannot change. That's just the way it is. There is no need for you to suffer any more! Surrender to it!"

Hinata shook his head 'no'. "You're wrong...Brother Neji." Neji was taking back by what Hinata just said. "Because I can tell that you are suffering much more than I."

"What?!" Neji questioned but his voiced was higher. "You are the one who is torn up over the fate of head and branch family." Hinata said.

Neji growled a little before he glared at Hinata. The spectator caught it as Neji ran to Hinata. "Neji, the match has been called!" Neji didn't listen as he still charge at Hinata. The spectator started to run to him, 'Oh no.'

Neji ran before he was stopped by a big sword being pointed at his neck. Kakashi was holding Neji's arm while Kurenai was holding Neji's other arm. Guy was holding Neji back as it was Zabuza was pointing the sword at Neji's neck.

"Neji, got a hold of yourself! You promised me you wouldn't let the head family thing get you riled up!" Guy-sensei ordered. "Why are all the other Jonin butting in?! The head family get's special treatment, eh-" Neji stopped when Zabuza brought his sword closer to his neck.

Hinata went on the ground as he was grunting while coughing. "Hinata?! Hinata!" Kurenai rushed to him.

"Hinata!" Naruto, Y/n, and Lee jumped down as since Y/n was faster he was there first. "Hinata! Hey, w-what's wrong?!" Y/n ask. "Y/n..." Hinata said as Y/n nodded, "Yeah, I'm here...y-you were amazing."

Hinata smiled, "Do you really think...I changed maybe a little bit?" Hinata slowly closed his eyes as Y/n couldn't hear what Hinata said lastly.

"Hey you, butterfly." Shadow was covering Y/n's eyes as he slowly turn to see that it was Neji. "I have two pieces of advise for you. First, if you intend to call yourself a Shinobi, stop that revolting cheering of yours." Y/n's fist was clenched. "And the second, a failure will always be a failure-"

Suddenly a kunai was throw as it made Neji stopped. Everyone was shock from the sudden weapon as Neji look and see the blade was different. The color had some purple design, but small drops of red. He turn as he see that it was Y/n.

He look up as he was smiling at Neji but there was some shadows over it as well as some veins. "Ara ara~, we wouldn't mind on testing it." Y/n grabbed his sword. Neji's eyes twitched on his words "We?"

Lee and Haku stepping in as Y/n was caught off. "Haku, please move." Y/n smiled as he requested it. "I'm sorry Y/n, but all fighting must be done officially in a match." Y/n was smiling but he was breathing hard. "He is right, but think of this. The failure beats the gifted genius through sheer effort." Lee said.

Y/n's breathing was slowing down as he sign and let go of his sword. "Oh! I was wanting to test some poison that I made." Y/n pouted. "Okay Lee, and thank you." Y/n went back to Hinata.

Lee turn to his sensei as he did a thumbs up, 'So how was that, Guy sensei?' Lee's teeth sparkle. 'Now that's how you get your lover Lee! Nice going!' Guy's teeth sparkle as he did a thumbs up.

Hinata suddenly coughed out blood again as Kurenai's recoil. Haku turn to small disbelieve, Naruto was caught off as well as Lee, Shino moved a little. Y/n quickly unzip Hinata's jacket as Kurenai know what he was doing as she placed her hand on his neck. 'Oh no! He's gone into ventricle fib. Was he trying to kill him then?!' Kurenai thought with anger leaking out of her as she look at Neji.

"The precious little time you have would be better spent seeing to him than glaring at me." Neji said with a smug look. "Medic! Hurry! What's taking so long?!" Kurenai yelled with anger. "S-Sorry." The medical ninja's finally came. "He has no pulse." Y/n eyes widen as he look at Hinata. "It's serious. He's got about ten minutes at the most!"

They carried Hinata and rushed to the medical room as Y/n couldn't process the words that they said. 'I-Is he...Hinata is just taking a nap right...RIGHT...'

"Y/n! You need to calm down! You're breathing is rising! Use it when you go against him."

Naruto got to the ground as there was some small blood of where it was Hinata's blood. "Hinata, I promise you." Naruto grabbed some of the blood as he turn and glare at Neji.

"I vow to win!"
