Third Person POV:

"Now, let the tenth round begin."

"Do your best!" Shikamaru cheered. "Remember, all you can eat." Asuma taunted, causing a boost of encouragement. "I'll end this match quickly and turn you into mincemeat!" Choji threatened.

"I'm so confuse, did Choji made a threat?" Y/n tilted his head. "...That was a threat?" Haku question after realizing the meaning of what he just heard.

"Well...let's not play around. I'll finish you off quickly, Mr. Fatso." Dosu taunted. Choji' vein popped as his eyes lite in flames. "You bandaged cucumber roll!" Choji glared.

"Is that boy really calling people food?" Zabuza said, if it weren't for the bandage mask people would see that he is making a disgusted facial expression. "...I guess." Y/n answered as he was getting a little confuse. "I never see Choji this upset...I lied. I see him a couple of times, but I never see him retaliate."

'I know his Achilles heel all too well from my last battle with him. Those holes in his arm emit a pulsing sound, so...' Choji remember the encountered that he and his team ran into doing the time they were in the woods. He see Dosu's gauntlet as it has holes, the same one that was causing problems.

"Ninja Art! Expansion Jutsu!" Choji's body started to expand as he look like a round ball. "Followed by the Hidden Leaf-style Taijutsu!" His arms and legs were tucked in his clothes as his chakra was coming out of his sleeves and shorts. Lastly his head was tucking in a little, "All I have to do is to prevent him from aiming at my ears!"

"Human Boulder Jutsu!"

Choji's body rolled as he then charged at Dosu. 'This guy can attack sonically without even touching the opponent. But that's only when ears are showing! With Choji's whole head buried, it's like he's wearing ear plugs. How does anyone make a sonic attack on a meat ball, let alone one that's rolling?' Shikamaru analyzed.

Choji continue his attack as Dosu was only able to dodge. Dosu was close to the wall as Choji then charged at him. However Dosu dodged as it lead to Choji crashing and getting stuck at the wall. "The way you are you can barely move, can you?" Dosu said.

Choji was struggling as he tries to get out. "That's where I attack!" Dosu use his arm that has the gauntlet with holes, punched Choji in the back. However it didn't made a sound. "It's no use, I'm wearing ear plugs." Choji said with confident.

"No, this is the end!"

Dosu flicked the gauntlet as Choji's body started to shake. "Oh...?!" A high frequency sound came as it cause the wall to break. Shikamaru couldn't believe what he just saw as he believed that Choji wouldn't get effected by it. The dust cleared as it show Choji knocked out.

"The human body is made up of 70% water, and water is able to transmit sound waves. In other words, your whole body is like one big ear." Dosu explained. When he did it trigger a memory to Y/n as he felt the words are coming back to attack him. But it didn't help that it was from Chomei.

"Biology says you are 7% blood. Chemistry says you are 70% water. And physics says you are 99.999% empty space. But I think are 101% STUPID!"

"And the winner is, Kinuta Dosu!"

Dosu walked out as the medical ninjas came to check up on Choji. "Are you all right?" One of them asked. "I-I want to eat meat." Choji answered. "Oh man...And the guy went easy on him, too." Shikamaru complained. "Although he lost, at least we can do for him is take him for some BBQ beef."

The inspector coughed, "It's finally over." He said while coughing. 'At long last, the Final Round.' Lord Third praised in thought. "With this, the preliminaries for the third exam is completed."

Scene Change Jutsu:

It was now back at the Academy as it shows Iruka's new class. One where the three little kids Moegi, Udon, and Konohamaru is in. 'I wonder what's happened to Naruto? Or Y/n?' Iruka though in worry as he looked out the window, Konohamaru notice as he turn to the sleeping Udon.

"Let's go outside now. Iruka Sensei hasn't been alert recently, so now's our chance." He whispered as Udon smirked.

"Hey! Konohamaru!"

He froze as he see Iruka looking sharply at him. "You intend to sneak out again, do you?" He interrogated. "I-I need to go to the bathroom!" Konohamaru said as an excuse. "Liar!"

Scene Change Jutsu:

It was now back at the field as all of the contestants that won their fight is on the floor. Shino, Neji, Shikamaru, Gaara, Kankuro, Temari, Naruto, Dosu, Haku, and Y/n. "To everyone who has advanced to the Final Round of the third test of the Chunin Exams-" The inspector stopped as he realize that there was one person, who was absent at the moment. "There's one person who's missing, but, congratulations."

'Here, in our house, including Sasuke who's not here, we have seven leaf, three sand, and one sound.' Lord third thought as he smiled. "Well, I will begin the explanation of the Final Round."

'I wonder what's wrong with Sasuke. I swear Sasuke had a mark on his body, but I couldn't know. Kakashi snatched him away before I could even see what's on his neck.' Y/n thought in worried. He had a small flashback of seeing Sasuke struggling in his fight, holding on to his neck for some time.

Scene Change Jutsu:

There's two people in an area that looked like a bridge. There the two ninjas was confirmed, Kabuto and the snake Orochimaru. Kabuto was kneeling on the ground, "The preliminary battles have ended without incident. It seems they're now entering the Final Round."

"This land really has become peaceful, hasn't it?" Orochimaru asked as he look to the side. "This peaceful time has put this country in slumber...while all the other lands are busy racing to expand their military."

Kabuto stood up as he begin to smile. "Would it be possible for us to take it now?" Kabuto ask. "Hmph, I suppose. Though, I don't know how much fun it would be to take out that old man." Orochimaru answered with his snake smile. "Is that so?" Kabuto questioned.

Orochimaru quickly look at Kabuto with his snake eyes. "To me, it looks like you still have a hesitation about it. From now on, the power of each Hidden Village will clash with one another in a long and violent manner. The Sound Village is also one of them."

Kabuto pushed up his glasses as he look at Orochimaru. "You intend to be the trigger for all of that, and use him for a bullet. Our Sasuke, right?" Kabuto analyzed. "You guess well. So well that it's a bit creepy." Orochimaru complimented.

"Not in the slightest. I still had no idea about Dosu, Zaku, or Kin. In gathering information on Sasuke, I desire to learn their skills and carried out tactless things like deliberately subjecting myself to an attack. You overestimated me." Kabuto explained, however his face then change as he was no longer smiling. "It seems that you, you don't trust me completely yet."

"Was it necessary to tell you, my right-hand man, about the likes of those three?" Orochimaru answered with a question. "You see, there in lies the very proof of my trust. And because I do, I would like to leave Sasuke in your hands. The Curse Mark that was given to him appears to have been sealed by Kakashi. Though, that won't matter much. While there is still some darkness left in his heart, I want you to abduct him."

"That's an uncharacteristically hasty request, is it not?" Kabuto asked. "There's a little something troubling me." Orochimaru answered.

"Is it Y/n Kanroji Kocho?"

'You're quiet a sharp one, aren't you?' Orochimaru said in thought. 'Sasuke has lived for revenge against his older brother Itachi, and will not rest until he has achieved that aim. Nevertheless, in battle with me, he was aware that there were things beyond his power and faced death without fear. Who would be in a hurry to die.'

"According to your information, contact with that butterfly boy has altered Sasuke's heart and mind. So much so, that he possesses some influence over Sasuke. The best thing to do is to get Sasuke away from him immediately and quickly turn him in my color." Orochimaru said, licking his lips with anticipation.

"Are you sure? You do realize who's blood that butterfly boy posses right? The blood and DNA of someone who was close to you, Shinobu Kocho." Kabuto said. Orochimaru didn't say anything as he smiled as an answer, before looking out in the distance.

"Kabuto..." Kabuto stopped and was shaking a little by his tone. "If you wish to stop me..." Orochimaru glared where Kabuto could feel the deadly glare. "...you have no choice but to kill young Sasuke now."

Kabuto gasp a little with his eyes widen. "You can't possibly kill me. Though you are strong, you're only in the same league as Kakashi." Kabuto was sweating as he turn to see Orochimaru smiling, enjoy the smell of fear. Orochimaru then chuckle, "Just kidding. Now, run along. I trust you."

Kabuto then jumped away as Orochimaru look at the direction Kabuto just jumped off to. 'That face...I wonder what could possibly be going on in his head?' Orochimaru then notice a butterfly as it flew towards him. Holding his hands out the butterfly gracefully landed on his finger, before it then bit him.

His eyes squinted. "Y/n...such a unique boy you are. The heart of Mitsuri, while the power of Shinobu. I wonder if I can play with you before he does?"

Scene Change Jutsu:

It was now back where Y/n his as he was smiling, hearing what Lord third as to say. "The Final Round is where each one of you will show off your battle skills in front of everyone. I want you to satisfactorily demonstrate and show off your ability as representative battle forces of your respective lands. Accordingly, the Final Round will commence one month from now."

"W-We're not going to do it here, right now?" Naruto ask. "This is so that there's a suitable period of preparation." Lord Third answered. "What do mean by that?" Haku ask. "That is to say, along with the announcement of the conclusion of the preliminary match to each country's Daimyo and Shinobi leaders, readying the summons for Final Round requires preparation time, not to mention the time it takes for you examinees to prepare."

'This old man always has such a roundabout way of saying things.' Kankuro thought in complaining. "I don't quite get what you're trying to say. What do you mean?" Kankuro ask.

"In other words, in order to know your adversary, in order to prepare yourself, time is necessary. Time to analyze what you learned about the adversaries in the preliminaries...time to take stock of your successes. The battles until now were like actual battles it presupposed situations in which you can't know your adversary."

'That's for sure. I never dreamed that this guy could make sand into a weapon.' Shikamaru thought as he did a small glace at Gaara.

"However, this is not the case in the Final Round. Some of you might have already revealed everything in front of your rivals. In the spirit of fairness and equality, you will have a month to train yourself to further your skills."

Naruto glanced at Gaara and Neji while in his thought he was thinking of Sasuke, Y/n, and Haku. 'Now, I can't be thinking of this as some sort of month-long holiday and do nothing! Believe it! Seriously! Seriously!'

Y/n was looking as he smiled, however his smile was more different. If his eyes were open, then people would see that his eyes are red. 'Ara ara~'

Scene Change Jutsu:

It was at the Leaf's hospital as it show multiple Anbu's on the guard. There Kabuto was walking as he was heading where Sasuke is resting. "It might not be good idea to excel too much, is it?" Kabuto ask himself.

"We failed to stay out of Orochimaru's watchful eye, and it was unfortunate for us both." Kabuto said as he looked at the passed out Sasuke. 'Under this gentle exterior, a seed of evil took root and it was this seed that was exploited. Some day, through that Ninjutsu, this child will as well.'

Orochimaru was still at the spot where he and Kabuto had their conversation. Right before he took off to where Sasuke was located. "Kabuto. Who knows? Perhaps he really will kill Sasuke." Orochimaru smiled.

There Kabuto pulled out a medical knife as he was bringing it close to Sasuke. His eyes squinted, but in a flash his knife was gone. "I have to give it you, Kakashi, stopping my attack from your blind spot."

Behind Kabuto is Kakashi who was holding the knife. "But you'd better ready at least ten of your men next time." Kakashi look around as he see the Anbu's. 'The Anbu that I prepared were taken out without difficulty.' Kakashi thought. "You're not an ordinary Genin, are you? You caught a whiff of me and immediately readied your weapon. You're quite impressive."

"No, I'm not all that." Kabuto said. "What do you want with Sasuke? Depending on circumstances, I'll haul you off to questioning." Kakashi interrogated. "I wonder if that's possible for the likes of you." Kabuto turn and face Kakashi.

"Are you looking to take me on?" Kakashi challenged. It was then that Kabuto and Kakashi faced each other. Not a single one of them are backing down. "You are the son of the chief of the Leaf medical corps, aren't you?" Kakashi questioned. "Your name, was it, Kabuto Yakushi?"

"Are you affiliated with Orochimaru?"

Kabuto just grinned as part of the answer. "If you arrest me here now, you might never be able to prove my connection to Orochimaru." Kabuto answered.

"Shut up and confide your answer to my questions." Kakashi said. His voice was raised as it was clear that he was getting irritated.

"What if i say 'No'?" Kabuto answered his question with another question. "I'm the one asking the questions around here. Now give me some answers." Kakashi demanded.

"You'll find out before long anyway if you let me go, so can you make an exception just this once?" Kabuto ask slyly.

"You, willful little brat. Don't mess around with grown-ups." Kakashi opened his eyes. He then pulled out his kunai.

"Don't be so arrogant." Kabuto pulled out his kunai. However the blade was different then any regular kunai. "The circumstances are in my favor."

Kakashi realized the position he was in. Kabuto bring his kunai down to Sasuke's throat. The two of them silently stare at one another.

Kakashi make his move as he rush to Kabuto. Kabuto was going to make his move to stab Kakashi, but his kunai was knocked out of his hand. Kakashi with his agility kicked the arm that was holding the blade. He tossed Kabuto to the ground as he got him on a hold with one arm behind his back.

Suddenly one of the Anbu that was knocked out suddenly came out of the ground and take off running. "I should have known."

The Anbu was gonna leave but Kakashi was at the door. They turn around but see Kabuto one the ground and another Kakashi was there.

Another Anbu came out of the ground as they charge at the window. Kakashi look through the window as he see the Anbu took of it's mask. Revealing that it was Kabuto, who was smiling at Kakashi.

"Darn, I've let him escape." Kakashi said. The one Anbut suddenly fell to the ground as the other Kakashi disappeared.

"Impressive!" Kakashi move where 'Kabuto' was. Placing his hand at the neck as he expected, no pulse. "This is the Dead Soul Jutsu, where one temporarily animates and controls the heart of a dead body, meticulously transforming even the face and also stopping his heartbeats and eliminating all traces of his body odor in order to prepare an escape by impersonating a murdered Anbu. He wasn't raised as the adopted son of the chief of the medical corps for nothing."

"If someone this good is working for Orochimaru, I can't stay as I am now."

Scene Change Jutsu:

"Now that that's done, I'd like to let you take your leave. But first for the Final Round, there is one more important matter to take care of."

Lord third says as some of the people was really getting impatient. "Let's get on with it, so we can get to training!" Naruto yelled as some was nodding in agreeing.

"Now, now. I want you all to calmly take one slip of paper from the box that Anko is holding." Lord third said. "I'm going to go around in order take only one." Anko said.

She first went to Y/n as he tilted his head but grabbed the pieces of paper. She then went on the others as each of them was now holding a piece of paper. Y/n open his and see a number

"Good, everyone has taken a number. Then, from left to right, tell me the number on your slip of paper." Ibiki said.

Y/n: Four

Haku: Ten

Dosu: Eight

Naruto: One

Temari: Seven

Kankuro: Five

Gaara: Three

Shikamaru: Nine

Neji: Two

Shino: Six

"Now, that mean Sasuke is number eleven." Ibiki said.

"Uh-uh. Very well, I will tell you about how the Final Round tournament will work." Lord third said, making everyone now being ready to what they have to do.

"Is that what the drawing lots were for?" Shikamaru ask. "Ibiki, bring fourth the pairings." Lord third said. "Yes, sir." Ibiki show everyone the pairings for them final match. Y/n gasp as his eyes widen.

'He's so far away.' Dosu thought. 'Is that all the Final Round is, a tournament?' Temari thought as he see who his opponent is. 'Shoot! I have one extra round. Vendetta for Choji? Give me a break!' Shikamaru complained. 'Uh-oh, this is bad.' Kankuro thought in sweat. Temari notice until his eyes widen, 'Shit!'

'Perfect.' Neji smiled. 'Hyuga Neji, right off the bat? This couldn't get any better! Believe it!' Naruto thought.

'So it's a rematch between me and Sasuke.' Haku thought.

'This is...' Y/n thought as Chomei was also feeling worried.

"This is a problem."

Gaara's eyes squinted as he see who he's facing. Making his lips squirm to an almost smirk.
