No One POV:

"What?!"

Many people couldn't believe what they were seeing. "T-That's...It's the empty shell of sand!"

"When did that?! That's not possible!" Guy accused. "While you had your eyes closed and were praying." Kakashi answered.

"What?" Guy asked. "For a moment, Lee stopped moving because of the pain in his body. At that moment, that's when!" Kakashi answered as there was some small flash back where Lee closed his eyes.

Lee started to breath hard as he stop and turn. There was sand rising from behind him as it soon reveal Gaara smiling at him.

"That's!" Temari recoiled as he recognize Gaara's eyes. "There's no doubt about it his eyes, he's completely awake." Kankuro said.

"...It's him."

Gaara smiled more as he put his hands up, unleashing more sand as one chunk charged Lee. Lee was able to block the first blow, however the force made him let go of his guard. Making the other blow a direct hit as it pushed Lee to the ground hard.

Lee slowly get up but he then sat on the ground. His legs was burning with pain, it was making Lee having a difficult time to regain himself. Gaara notice the struggle as it only made it more entertaining. He then release more sand off the ground as it made people to be alerted.

"Run away!" Naruto yelled as the sand made a huge wave. Lee try to escape but his legs was making it difficult. He got caught in the sand as it made him crash to the wall hard. There wasn't enough time for Lee to recover as three sand tentacles charged at Lee.

"That bowl-cut's totally worn down." Kankuro said as he narrowed his eyes, "Gaara is toying with him." Zabuza was watching the scene as his fist was clenched. "What the hell is he?" Haku turn as he notice that Zabuza was sweating.

"Zabuza..." Haku was speechless seeing this side of Zabuza. "No kid should have this much bloodlust. Brat has some strong bloodlust, but was never to this extent." Zabuza said as Haku started to feel it as it did trigger some feelings of Y/n. However his bloodlust was more sadistic rather than feeling as if someone is just playing with their food.

"Still...Why is Lee guarding rather than dodging the attack?" Haku questioned as he was noticing the account of him guarding rather than making an attempt to dodge. "It's a very simple reason, he can't dodge them." Guy answered. "What?" Shikamaru heard as he couldn't understand why.

"The Lotus is a double-edged sword." Kakashi answered. "A double-edged sword?" Choji ask. "There's a reason why the move is know as being a forbidden technique. It's not a Ninjutsu or a Genjutsu. It's a Taijutsu, with that much high-speed movement would put the person's body in serious pain." Asuma explained.

"So...Lee..." Y/n slowly said as he came to realize what the pain would cause to Lee. The sand clear as it show Lee blocking while he was breathing hard, while keeping one of his eyes open. The sand rise as it made Lee jumped up a little. Rolling to the side as he's been barely dodging Gaara's attacks.

Meanwhile Gaara was smiling as he was staring down at Lee. Gaara straighten himself as it made Lee put his arms up in a guarding pose, thinking that he was gonna get hit with another sand attack. Gaara slowly put his hands up as it was know to many that he was gonna make a move.

"With Lee having no Ninjutsu or even one Genjutsu, he can only rely on Taijutsu." Haku said as it made everyone felt remorse. "But he can't even dodge with how much pain he's in since he did that move." Shikamaru added the struggle that Lee was facing. "There's no way he can win!" Choji concluded.

'Lee...' Guy thought as he was seeing everything and hating that he can't do anything about it.

"Hey, get a move on, all of you."

Flashback Jutsu:

It was years back in the academy were there were students in a track field who were running laps as their Sensei notice how lazy they were running. "I'll add another 200 laps!"

"Stupid! There's no way you'll become a ninja." One kid said as everyone was laughing in agreeing. It was then that a young Lee was running with as it was one of his classmates who made the comment about him.

"Yes, I will." Lee defended. "There's no way a chump who can't even use Ninjutsu can become a Ninja!" Another kid remarked. "Yes, I will!" Lee yelled with more confident as he was still running.

"Whatever, but the fact that a guy like you without Ninjutsu or Genjutsu and with less Taijutsu than an average person is in this Ninja academy is nonsense." The first kid said. A new kid ran as he started to bump into Lee. "Do you know what you're called here?" He ask, making Lee covered his ears as he know what's gonna happen next.

"Hot-Blooded!"

"Hot-Blooded!"

"Hot-Blooded lose-"

Lee covered his ears as he yelled before running away from the class as they were taken back by it.

"Hey, get in the line, Lee!" The Sensei said but Lee ignored him as he continue to runaway from his class. Meanwhile Guy and Kakashi was watching everything happen as Guy started to laugh a little. "So that's the hot-blooded loser everyone's talking about." Guy said as now know who it is.

"Doesn't he look like someone we know?" Kakashi ask. "Huh?" Guy ask back as Kakashi shrugged his shoulder. "In particular his eyebrows." Guy look forward as he know what he meant. "Hm."

'Rock Lee!' Guy thought as he smiled, 'The chump who can only perform less than average Taijutsu, but you...'

Present Time Jutsu:

Guy's face transition to a serious face. Gaara's sand started to rise as it started to clash at Lee, making him scream in pain. Feeling the sand pressure against his body.

'You participated your less than average Taijutsu. You practiced it over and over like crazy.'

"396, 397, 398, 399..."

Flashback Jutsu:

"400, 401, 402, 403..."

Lee was in the training ground as he was kicking logs. "If I can't do a log kick 500 times then it's 1,000 squats!" Lee declared. He continue to kick the log as he was creating some damage to the log while counting.

"413...414...415...416...417...418!" Guy was walking as he caught Lee's training. Peeking his interests he went there and decided to observe the training. However his original reason why he was walking to the training ground was because he wanted to train but that was before he caught Lee. "So someone's here before me..."

'I suppose I'll come back.' Guy thought as he turn around to leave Lee alone with his training. However it was then that Lee was at the spot as he was doing some squats.

"If I can't do 1,000 squats, then it's 2,000 punches!" Lee said as he was sweating while doing his squats. "795, 796, 797, 798..." Lee continue to count the number of squats he was doing.

It was now late at night as he was still training. Punching the logs while unnoticed to him that Guy was watching him and was surprise by the amount of stamina Lee has. 'He's still at it!' Guy yelled in his thought.

"2,000 punches! If I can't, it's 2,000 jump ropes!" Lee declared to himself as he continue to punch the log. The log was being more and more cut off by all of the kicks and punches Lee was delivering to it.

'You recklessly practiced only Taijutsu and eventually...'

It now the scene where the team was all assemble as it show Guy with his new pupils. Tenten, Neji, and Lee. "All right, you've all become Genin as of today, so I'd like to know what it is you're aiming for!" Guy said to them.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes!" Tenten said with excitement as she raised her hands. "Tenten." Guy acknowledge. "I'd like to become a powerful Ninja like the legendary Kunoichi Tsunade!" Tenten answered.

"Hm..." Guy said as of now knowing her goal. He turn to Neji as it was his turn. "And, how about you Neji?" Neji however turn from Guy. "I don't want to answer." Neji responded.

"Me!" Lee yelled as he raised his hands, making Tenten startled a little. "I'd like to prove that I could become a respectable Ninja even though I can't use Ninjutsu or Genjutsu! That would be the ultimate for me!"

'Those are good serious eyes.' Guy acknowledge in thought. "Hmph!" Neji said as it caught the team's attention. "What's so funny?! I'm serious!" Lee yelled as he turn to Neji. "I will become a respectable Ninja even only with Taijutsu!"

Present Time Jutsu:

Lee was still dodging the sand as it was stare being barely enough for him to dodge it. "He should give up already." Temari said as he shook his head. "At this rate, he will simply die with Gaara just toying with him." Kankuro said. "Bushy Brows!" Naruto said as Y/n's face was down. "Lee...Panda..." Y/n mumbled, seeing how Lee was struggling while Gaara had a look that he was enjoying the struggle.

Neji was staring down as he was looking at the fight with some intense. 'Lee.' Neji thought as he was remembering some of the training that they did together. He remember how the two of them would spare and because of Lee's body note being well condition against Neji's fighting style, Lee was defeated.

But yet no matter how many times he was getting knocked down he would stay try to get himself back up. Even with Tenten wanting him to stop because he keeps on getting himself hurt or how Neji would repeated in telling him that he won't win against him, Lee would still have his fire blazing.

'You refuse to give up, not ever!' Guy thought. Gaara's sand rise as it charged at Lee while he was on the ground. The pressure made him float a little before he crashed to the ground again, struggling to have him lift himself up. Gaara was looking down as he was smiling at Lee's struggle.

"Such meaningless actions!" Gaara said as the sand started to rise. "The bow-cut was unlucky to have Gaara as his opponent!" Kankuro said. "No." Everyone turn to Guy, "Lee's not one to give up with this much."

"Huh?"

"What?"

"The reason is that Lee..." The sand charge at Lee as he was trying to block it, making him crashed. The sand quickly did another attack as it hit Lee's body, making Lee scream with the pain.

'You continued to make effort.' Guy thought about Lee, remember who many training Lee did when his teammates where heading home. However Guy was always there from the very begging, watching him training himself until he fell from the ground from exhaustion or from a mistake.

He remember how Lee would break down. With all of the training he would still feel as if he wasn't even worth to have the headband. It was then that Guy would talk to Lee as it came to term that beside their eyebrows, they were one in the same. Both being inefficient to having Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, making them rely on their physical strength or better know as Taijutsu.

"Become a man powerful enough so that I can just watch you smiling!"

Theses were the words that inspired Lee that would make him the boy-no, the man that he is now. Fighting through the pain as he won't stop until his is the victor of the match.

The sand started to circle around Gaara as the people who were watching the match couldn't take it of seeing Lee getting hurt. "Oh man, this is bad! If Lee keeps on doing this, then he's good as dead!" Shikamaru said.

The sand started to charge at Lee as he was smirking. Suddenly when the sand started to get close to Lee, he dodged with quickness. Causing everyone including Gaara to get caught off.

"What?!" Kankuro said. "Movement has..." Neji said. "...returned to Lee!?" Y/n finished as the three of them look shock from what they just witness. Guy was smiling as it started to encourage Lee. 'Sensei is smiling and watching me, and just because of that, I can come back stronger! Stronger stronger still!'

"He's smiling even while being cornered. It's quiet inspiring." Haku complimented as Lee was dodging the sand attacks with more speed now. "Yes, now it's his turn to corner him." Guy said. "After all, The Leaf's Lotus blossoms twice."

"No! Guy you didn't!" Kakashi said as he started to realize what Guy was saying. "It's exactly as you imagine." Guy said. "So that Genin, that boy can open the Eight Inner Gates in his body and use the Hidden Lotus." Kakashi glared at Guy with a sweat drop coming out.

'The Hidden Lotus?' Neji question in thought. "That's right." Guy answered. "This is incredible, Guy. How many of the Eight Inner Gates can that boy open now?" Kakashi questioned. "...Five gates."

"What the hell are you two talking about? Eight Inner Gates?" Zabuza ask as he was getting annoyed by how they talk as if it's something lethal. "The Eight Inner Gates are 'Limiter Releases' used in preparations for reaching the Hidden Lotus." Guy answered. Zabuza nodded in understanding but Haku was still lost. "Forgive me, but I still don't fully understand."

"The Chakra Network where chakra flows, there are eight places where the chakra points are concentrated in each area of the body from the head area down-the Gate of Opening, Gate of Rest, Gate of Life, Gate of Pain, Gate of Closing, Gate of Joy, Gate of shock and Gate of Death. These are called the Eight Inner Gates. These eight gates continually 'limit' the amount of Chakra flowing through the body. However, the Lotus's essence is to force the boundaries of these 'limits' to open and bring out several tens of times the body's strength."

Kakashi explained as Guy nodded. "The Primary Lotus opens only the first fate, the Gate of Opening, and releasing the brains restraints to bring forth a person's muscles strength to it's fullest! That's the kind of technique it is. Then, after forcing the stamina to increase at the second gate, the Gate of Rest. From the third gate, the Gate of Life, one enters the Hidden Lotus!"

"What would happen to Lee's body. Just by using the Primary Lotus, Lee's body couldn't. More so his legs gave out as he could only roll as a way to dodge." Haku ask as he realize that something would happen to Lee, given from what the after effect was from using the Primary Lotus.

"By opening all the eight gates, one attains strength exceeding even the Hokage, but in return, one dies."

Haku was taken back as he never heard of such consequence happening to where the person's after effect from using a technique. "I don't intend to pry into what that boy means to you or to tell you not to bring your personal feelings into play. But there is a limit! I've misjudged you, Guy!" Kakashi accused.

Guy look at Kakashi as his face was serious and no longer smiling. "What do you know about that boy?!" Guy challenged. "That boy wants to prove and protect even if it costs him his life."

"I'd like to prove that I can become a respectable Ninja even though I can't use Ninjutsu and Genjutsu! That would be the ultimate for me!"

"That's why I wanted to make him a man that could protect that thing. That's all there is, Lee!" Guy remember the day that he started to teach Lee the technique. Even with him warning how sever and dangerous the technique is. Even how it would cost Lee everything and use it under one condition.

"That is..." Lee said as he closed his eyes. Suddenly a strong amount of wind pressure came as everyone felt the strong pressure. "I don't know what you're plaining to do, but this is the end for you." Gaara said as he brought his hands up.

"That's true."

"In any case, it will be the end with the next." Lee said as his eyes closed with force. 'Neji, Sasuke, and Y/n!' Gaara was taken back a little as he started to felt something odd.

"There is no way that I alone can lose in a place like this!" Lee declared as Guy smiled at Lee. "Guy Sensei, please allow this! It is now!"

Lee's chakra became noticeable to the people's eyes as it started to soar. His hair is rising the his skin was fading to the shade of red, veins appearing. His pupil was gone as the pressure in the air was heavy and strong. "The time to carry through and protect one's own Way of the Ninja!"

"The Third Gate of Life open!"
