No One POV:

It was morning as Y/n and Haku get themselves ready. Normally they would have Zabuza join them but he has already headed out to where they're supposed to meet. 

Y/n is a little nervous, when he first saw Anko women, he felt like he was looking at a sadistic person. "Is something wrong Y/n?" He looks up to see Haku looking at him with concern.

"I'm fine Haku, just a little nervous about the second exam. I can't deal with another test." Y/n said.

Haku chuckled as Y/n was caught off by it as it was so calm. "We should hurry, we need to see Zabuza-Sensei."

"So do know any thoughts on what this is about to be?" Y/n ask.

Haku thought about it. "It's hard to say. Remember Kakashi stated before that the exam is different than the one Zabuza went through. Excluding Zabuza, Kakashi has also said that it might be different than what he took." 

The two arrived at the gathering area and many eyes were shocked. The place looked like a forest, the trees looked big as if they looked abandoned. Fences are blocking the area as if you were to need permission to enter it.

"This is the location for the second phase of the exam. It's the forty-fourth battle training zone. But we call it, The Forest of Death." Anko said as she made her appearance.

"There's something creepy about this place..." Sakura commented, shuddering.

"This place is called the Forest of Death, you'll soon realize why," Anko smirked.

"That kind of threat won't work on me one bit! I'm not scared!" Naruto yelled back.

"Oh, well look at this. Looks like we've got ourselves a tough guy." She took out a kunai and threw it at the blond.

Y/n's eyes widen as he darted forward to Naruto as caught it between his fingers. "Ara Ara~ I think this belongs to you. No need for violence right~?"

 Y/n threw the kunai back as Anko was about to catch it when she move to the side. The kunai fly past as it made a gap in the fence from the force.

Gasps were heard all around them as Y/n had the feeling again. It was like this girl is familiar to her as he can feel the craving for bloodlust and sadistic side as he sees Anko smirking at him.

'Well shit, Shinobu you just got yourself a killer monster. That ara and that smile, no doubt that's my best friend's child. THEN THAT MEANS I WASN'T INVITED TO THE BABY SHOWER!' Anko realize but she laughed.

"Ha! Looks like we got some kids with backbone here this time, I like that." Anko amused. "Let's hope you survive longer here, kid." Anko walked to the front gate. "Before we start the next part of the exam, I have to pass these out to you! It's a consent form. Before you take part in the test, you must sign."

"For what reason?" Haku question. 

"From here on out, there will be corpses." Anko simply answered. "I need to have your consent to that...or it'll be my responsibility. Well, I'm going to explain the second test. In a word, the limit of your survival will be changed."

She passed the forms around, each person taking one and passing it. Y/n got his paper as he passed to another, he wonder what the consent is for?

"Now then, I'll give you step-by-step instructions on the terrain of this training field," Anko announced. "Training field forty-four is surrounded by forty-four locked entrance gates, there are rivers and a forest and a tower in the middle. It's about ten kilometers from the tower to the gates. In this confined area, you will go through a certain survival program. The contest of which is...an anything-goes scroll battle! I want you to fight for two scrolls, an Earth scroll, and a Heaven scroll. All together, twenty-six teams go through the first test. Half of them, thirteen teams get the Earth scroll and the other half get the Heaven scroll. I'll hand over one scroll to each team. So in short, these scrolls are what you're dying for."

"And the conditions to pass?" Sakura asked.

"Three or two of you bring both the Heaven and Earth scrolls to the certain area," Anko answered.

"So, that means that half of the teams here will fail." Y/n reasoned.

"Furthermore, it has to be in time," Anko replied. "For this second test, the time limit is 120 hours. Five days exact!"

"Five days?! What about food?" Someone asks.

"She said survival, so it must mean that we need to search for our food from here on out," Haku answered for them.

"Not only that but you're gonna encounter some man-eating animal, poisonous plants, poisonous insects, and others," Y/n added.

"Also, it's improbable that all 39 or 41 people in thirteen teams will pass." The other Hyuga boy Neji stated.

"The interval for activity gets longer with passing each day, while the time for recovery gets shorter. Seems pretty grueling!" Lee nodded.

"On top of that, you're surrounded by nothing but enemies, even falling asleep will be a problem," Sasuke added.

"And besides those injured during attempts to capture scrolls, there will be people who are unable to endure the rigors of the course," Anko told them.

"Um, so you can quit in the middle of it?" Shikamaru asked. "According to the rules, you cannot give up in the middle of it! I want you to spend five days in the forest."

Y/n can hear Shikamaru mumbling and complaining saying 'What a drag.' Y/n giggle quietly as Anko continued.

"Moving on, conditions of disqualification. First, if all three members of the team can't make it to the tower with both scrolls within the time limit. Second, if a team loses a member or a member becomes incapacitated. Those two, and this is a supplement...DO NOT look at the contents of the scrolls until you have reached the tower!"

"What happens if we do?" Naruto asked nervously.

"When you look at it. You'll see it for yourself." Anko replied. "There are times when a Chunin must deal with super-secret missions. This is to test your reliability. That is it for instructions, also" Anko paused before turning serious. "Just don't die!"

Each team decided to split so they can chat in private as team 7 and team 7B talked with each other. Haku and Y/n decided to talk together since they realize the odds against him.

"So what should we do? The odds are against us as we're a team of two going up against teams that that three members?" Haku asked as they talk from on top of a tree.

"To be honest, I don't know. I mean, you're very skilled as you faced off against strong people. You can easily paralyze someone. If we do have to get more physical then we'll work together!" Y/n smiled as he continued, "You and I have really fast speed as I have a sharp eye. I can detect if someone or something is coming at us or spot an enemy."

"I guess your right." Haku smiled. "It's time to show them what 7B can do."

"HAI!" Y/n cheered.

"It's about time for the scroll exchange." Y/n hear as he turn to Haku and nodded.

They head in as they turned in their form as they agree to it and was handed a scroll. They see that they have a Heaven scroll so now all they need is an Earth scroll.

"Teams who have taken the scroll, stay with the representative and move to the gate! You'll start simultaneously in thirty minutes!"

Y/n and Haku are now headed to their signed gate, number twelve. Y/n looks around to get a good view of the forest as he was curious.

Haku sigh and shake his head at Y/n's childish behavior even at a time like this. When the representative unlocks their gate, Y/n, and Haku immediately off into the forest.

"So we have a Heaven scroll, that means we need to find someone with an Earth in five days. Any ideas?" Haku asked.

"Well, what did you and Zabuza-Sensei do in a similar situation?" Y/n asked.

Haku tapped on his chin, "In a moment like this, we find them and see their weakness. Once the timing is right, we take them out. Have you placed the mirrors?"

Y/n smiled and nodded. "Yep! I was able to get half the candidates and you were able to get the other half."

Haku sighed as a smile was on his face, "Then all we need to do is to find an Earth scroll."

They began to spread through the forest. Y/n's ears twitched while looking around. 

'So someone got caught already.' Y/n mourned them. However, they would do the same if he and Haku were the cause of it.

Y/n caught someone in the corner of the tree. He stops as he uses his senses, he sees a butterfly flying toward him as two more came. 

He smiled before gentle move the finger making the butterflies fly off. He move a couple of trees as he spotted a team.

Suddenly multiple senbon came as it hit one of the team members as the others dodge. The one person made a fatal scream from the attack as he fell to the ground.

While his team members were distracted by witnessing their falling comrade Y/n made his move. He hurriedly made his move as came from behind and made a clicking sound with his blade.

The enemies quickly turn as they quickly look and see nothing until one looks up as they see Y/n in the air and charge at them. A swarm of butterflies trails down as all they see is butterflies but not the person.

They see the butterflies on their finger as they look and see that they suddenly turn red as leaked blood. They see multiple parts of them had red spots as they snapped out only to realize that they got hit.

"Breath of Insect, Butterfly Dance: Caprice"

They see that they're fine as they smirk and brought out their kunai but suddenly, they dropped their kunai. Veins popped out of their hands as they felt heavy.

They cover their mouth as they lean back coughing saliva and they scream in terror as they passed out.

"You think that just because I have a sword you think I'll do something lethal but they're other ways to take someone out." Y/n walk to them as he spins his blade around before sheathing it, "Like poison for an example! In a way, I'm also awesome."

Y/n look at them as he laughs, "Oh! Pardon me! You're paralyzed and can't talk, silly me!" He scratches his head and laughs from embarrassment. "Did you find their scroll Haku?"

Haku landed, "I have to say sending those butterflies to me caught me off guard."

"Relax. It's not lethal, they're paralyzed and have small poison. They'll be fine in a couple of hours." Y/n explain calmly.

Haku nodded as they look and see the scroll was from one of the members that Y/n finished. They search around and Haku found a white scroll. 

"Ah, it's a Heaven scroll." Y/n sighed in disappointment. "No worry though! It's just day one! Give at least a day then we'll be able to encounter someone with an Earth scroll!"

Haku turned to the defeated team, "So, should we leave them here?"

Y/n look at them with sympathy as he nodded. "At this rate, another team might find them. Plus, the time it wears off they'll be numb as they can regain after an hour of not feeling anything." He walk to the person that had a Heaven scroll, "Maybe this might come in handy."

Haku raised an eyebrow from his sudden action. "Alright then, let's get going. My mirrors picked up something. I think I've found a team with an Earth scroll."

Y/n stood up as he gave Haku a cheerful salute, "Lead the way captain!"

With that, the two ninjas take off as the exam officially begin.
