Third Person POV:

Naruto tries the healing ointment that Hinata gave him. In an instant the scratch that Kiba gave him started to fade away. "This medicine really works well!" Naruto closed the lid as he went to Y/n. "I'm gonna see if he need it!" Naruto thought as he thought or dream about something.

"Here Y/n try this. I don't want you to have those injuries." Naruto smiled. Y/n blushed as he gave Naruto a hug. "Naruto! That's so kind of you!" Y/n smiled. "It's nothing-" Naruto was cut off by blushing. Y/n was kissed Naruto on the cheek. Naruto smiled as he laugh a little.

Naruto smirked as he went over to Y/n, Haku, and Zabuza. 'Only your wounds heal with such speed, Naruto. The power of Nine Tail never cease to amaze me.' Kakashi thought. He notice Naruto's smile and see that he was heading towards Y/n. '...Wait a damn minute?'

Y/n turn as he see Naruto coming, "Ara?" Haku and Zabuza turned as they see Naruto coming. "Congrats on your win Naruto." Haku said. Naruto laugh as he scratch the back of his head. "Thank Haku." Naruto said. He turn to Y/n as he brought the healing ointment. Naruto step closer, "Here Y/n. I want you-"

Y/n took a step back. "What is it Naruto?" Y/n ask. "Oh well I wanted to see if you-" Naruto tries to step closer again but Y/n started to take a step back again. "Hey is something wrong Y/n?" Naruto wonder why Y/n was backing away.

"Six feet." Y/n answered. "Huh?" Naruto questioned. "Please um, six feet Naruto...you're fart smells bad." Y/n fully answered. Haku and Zabuza caught the scent as Zabuza felt like he's gonna gage from it and Haku looks like he was gonna cry as he try to pretend he smell nothing.

"AAAAAHH!" Naruto yelled as he quickly put his head down. The gloom started to get to him as he slowly walked back to Kakashi.

Meanwhile the medical ninjas was taking Kiba and Akamaru. Both was injured badly from the fight and seeing the pill taking a toll on Kiba's body. "U-Um...Kiba." They stop as Kiba lifted his head a little as he see Hinata. He was holding a container as he look at him. "T-This is...healing ointment for your wound, for you and Akamaru." Hinata explained.

Kiba chuckled, "Rather than worrying about others, it's about time you worried about yourself!" Kiba instructed. "What do mean?" Hinata ask. "Only six people left. You, Choji, Neji, Lee, one Sound guy, and the Sand guy." Kiba's face then change to being serious. "Listen, Hinata..." Hinata caught the look as he was taken back a little. "If you pull that guy from Sand, withdraw quickly. And there's one more. Do the same with Neji, too. Withdraw quickly. That guy will be hard on you." Hinata's eyes widen as he heard Neji.

"Well, let's announce the next match."

Everyone look up as they were waiting for who would be the next match. Everyone was nervous as they realize half of the people here has already fought and was moving on. After this will be the real part of the exam. The screen light up as it made Y/n's eyes widen as he bit his lip.

Hinata Hyuga vs. Neji Hyuga

Hinata's eyes widen as his lips quivered. Kiba clenched his teeth hard as he glare at the screen. "Damn it." Kiba muttered. 'Hinata...' Kurenai thought. Guy stared at the screen as he see that his other student is next. Neji stared at the screen as he make his way down.

Both made the area as they stared at each other. "I never thought that I would have a fight with you, Hinata." Neji stated. "Brother Neji..." Hinata said. "Huh?! Those two are siblings?" Naruto ask. "No, they're not. Not the way you think Naruto." Y/n answered. His hands was on the bar as he was gripping them hard. "Y/n is right. Both of them are descended from the Hyuga clan. One of the most honorable old families in the Hidden Leaf." Kakashi went on to Y/n's answered. "Then how are they related then?" Naruto ask.

"Think of a family tree. They're related by the head family and the branch family. They're actually cousins." Y/n answered. "Head family and branch family?" Naruto ask. "Yes! Hinata is from the head family. In other words, a person from the main household." Y/n answered. "Meanwhile Neji is from a branch family that is descended from that family. In other words a side branch." Lee joined.

"Okay but still! Both of them are family, now they're going fight each other! Wouldn't that hurt them?!" Naruto ask as he was upset by how they're going to fight one another. "It's too late to think like that." Y/n commented. "But why?!" Naruto was surprise. He see Y/n looking trouble as he was biting his lips. "Their family has bad blood with one another. More so on the head branch and the side branch." Y/n explained.

"Hmm. Why?" Naruto was questioned. But he was more question as to how Y/n know so much. "I...It's not my place to tell you everything. But..." Y/n look at Hinata, "I'll try to help out."

"Their family is like Sasuke's clan, the Uchiha. They have special techniques and abilities that only run in the family. The first generation made so many rules, regarding to the techniques. However some of the rules tends to favor the head family." Y/n said as it caught many people's attention like Haku, Naruto, and Zabuza. "There also been various incidents between the head family and branch family, because of those rules. So if you look at this fight, it'll be like a family feud."

"Alright, you may begin when ready."

"Just one thing before we square off against each other in the fight. I should advise you, Hinata." He look at Neji, waiting for hear what he want to say. "Withdraw! You're not suited to being a Shinobi." Hinata's eyes widen from his words. "You're too nice. You wish for harmony and void conflict, you're open to going with the thinking of others." Hinata look away from Neji, his head was down a little. "And, you have no confident in yourself. You're always feeling inferior. You thought it's a good a idea to stay Genin. However, you can't register for the Chunin test without three members so you couldn't turn down when Kiba and the other proposed it, and the truth is, you entered the exam reluctantly. Is that wrong?"

"T-That's wrong. That's not true. I...I only...I wanted to change that about myself, so I proposed it myself." Hinata managed to say. His fist was clenched as he look at the ground. Everyone was staring at him, trying to process what he said. 'Hinata...' Kurenai thought.

Flash Back Jutsu:

In a dojo area, there are three people in the area. A man who look similar to Hinata as he was a member of the Hyuga clan. His hair is black and long as he was wearing a training outfit while using a cane. Near the exit is Kurenai as she has the ninja jacket on and red pants. However the third is a little girl who is also a member of the Hyuga clan. She's on all fours as she was breathing and coughing a little. She was holding a kunai as her hair was covering her face.

"Stand up, Hanabi!" The man demanded. The little girl name Hanabi, she was slowly trying to stand up while she was shaking while doing so. Kurenai look at the girl who was struggling to get up and then turn her attention to the man. "From now on, I'll keep Hinata under my wing. But is that really okay?" She asked, waiting for a response but nothing came as the man continued to stare down at Hanabi.

"Hinata should be the heir to the Hyuga clan. But there is always death involved with the job of Genin." Kurenai continue to say. The man's facial expression change as it look displeased, "Do what you want." Kurenai gasp a little as she didn't believe the words he said.

"He's a failure who's inferior even to his younger sister Hanabi, five years her junior. We don't need her here in Hyuga clan."

Kurenai clenched her fists from hearing the words he was saying. How easily and quickly he expressed to some of would be the heir of their clan. She want to retaliate and call him off, but she can't. She doesn't have the power to challenge their ways, even if they were to go rough.

Hanabi got up as she was getting into position. She has some dirt and bruises on her, breathing hard. "Is that all you have to say? If so, leave! You're in the way!" The man demanded. "Yes." Kurenai only said before she composed herself and leave.

She left the dojo area as she was notice something in her vision and made her jump a little. It was Hinata as he look disappointed. His eyes was on the ground while on one of his finger was a butterfly. His other hand clenched on to his pants.

Present Time Jutsu:

'Hinata is trying to change himself in his own way.' Kurenai thought.

Hinata was looking on the ground while Neji was staring at him with no remorse showing on his face. "Hinata, you are a spoiled one of the head family." Hinata quickly look up, "What?"

"People can never change!" Hinata's eyes widen from his words. "A failure will always be a failure. That personality and strength won't change." Neji said.

Naruto's face change as he was slowly getting angry, 'That guy...' Y/n was breathing a little hard as his fist was clenching on to the bar. Haku and Zabuza notice the breathing as they can hear it. "Listen brat, you need to calm down." Zabuza warned. "If you were to intervene or do something out of the line. Then you will be disqualified."

Haku put a hand on Y/n's shoulders. "I know that Hinata is a close friend of yours, but you have to understand that this is his fight. I also don't like the words he's saying and you know that he's saying something false, but this is still their fight."

"Still..." Y/n mumbled. "Hinata doesn't deserved this. He...He never wanted this." Y/n's shoulders relax. His hair was covering his face as it wasn't in his style of braids. It was loose from all the fights. However if it wasn't, then people would see that he was frowning.

Neji stared at Hinata in the eye as it made Hinata recoiled a little. "Since people don't change, differences exist among them, and expressions like "elite" and "failure" are born. Everyone judges and are judged based on the value of their face and brain, ability and body type, goo and bad points of their personalities. People have to suffer and live within the means of the elements they cannot change. Just like the fact that I'm from a branch family and you're from the head family, these things can't change."

Naruto was breathing hard as he continue to hear what Neji said.

"I've seen everything with this Byakugan. That's why I understand!" Neji said. "You're just talking tough. You're really thinking that you'd like to run away from this place." Hinata shook his head. "No! You're wrong! I really..."

"Byakugan?" Naruto ask. "It's said that if you trace the Uchiha clan's history, the clan's ability has it's source in Hyuga clan. The Byakugan is one of the Hyuga clan's Kekkei Genkai, a Visual Jutsu similar to Sharingan. However, with the ability of insight alone, it gets the better of Sharingan." Kakashi explain.

Hinata was breathing hard as he see Neji's eyes closed. He did a hand sign as he know what he's doing. Neji slowly open his eyes, "Byakugan!"

Neji's are different, the color is the same unlike the sharingan but it was different. The pupils become more distinct and the increased blood flow to his eyes causes the veins near his temples to bulge.

Hinata's eyes was shaking as he can see Neji's eyes staring at him with a cold glare. Hinata look upwards before he look downwards and have his arm up a little.

"My eyes can't be deceived." Hinata look up quickly as of what Neji said. "Just now from my pressure, your line of sight was pushed to the upper left. This is the sight that you're recalling your past experience, your bitter past. And soon after that, your line of sight moved to the bottom right. This is the sign that you're imagining physical and mental suffering. That means...you're picturing your old self, and from all of your experiences up until now, you're imagining the result of this battle. The image of you losing!"

Hinata gasp as he was shaking a little. Naruto clenched his teeth as he was gripping on the healing ointment hard. He was shaking but not because of fear, but because of anger.

"Even the act of propping your arms in front of your body. It's a gesture that means you want to build a wall between us and keep distant. And that reflects your mind...that you don't want any more of your deepest feelings to be raided because everything I've said is right on the mark, right? Furthermore..."

Naruto clenched on the oil hard as he was still hearing about what Neji was saying to Hinata. Y/n's inside started to feel like it was on fire as his hair was still covering his face. "Hmph...Hmph..."

"Laying a finger on your lips that too, is a self-familiarizing act which represents a sense of panic. It represents a defense instinct you want to alleviate the tension and unease." Hinata's eyes became watery as he realize that he was getting caught and exposed about him. "In other words, deep in your heart, you know it's true, don't you?" Neji glared at Hinata with anger. "Changing yourself, is something you absolutely can't-"

"Sure, he can!"

Everything stop, everything became silent. Everyone turn as it was Naruto who shouted. Neji slowly turn to Naruto as Hinata was looking up while shaking a little.

"You don't have the privilege of deciding what a person is like, stupid! Give it to him, Hinata!" Naruto shouted, his vein showed on his forehead. Hinata was breathing slowly as the tension he had was fading. "Naruto..."

The people around him couldn't believed what he just did as Lee gasp a little while Kakashi was calming down. Zabuza smirked making a 'Hmph' and Haku's eyes widen a little.

"You're more than this Hinata!"

This time it was someone different, the voice was soft but yet demanding. Everyone turn and see Y/n as he look up making his face show as he was angry. His eyebrow furrowed as he look at Hinata with determination.

"You said it yourself that you want to change! You want to change so that you're family can be in peace! So that you can bring your family together! Prove it, prove it by beating Neji! Show the world who you are!"

Y/n was breathing heavy as an ark came on his forehead, his eyes was showing with not anger but determination. Zabuza's eyes widen as well as Haku, "Y/n..." Naruto was nodded hard as his hands was clenching on to the bar looking irritated.

Hinata's eyes widen as it felt like a breeze went passed him. His head was down as his eyes wasn't showing. 'They're right...'

'Who do they think they are!?' Neji thought as he turn but was taken back a little when he notice Hinata. 'Naruto...Y/n...thank you!' Hinata look up as he was glaring at Neji. Neji's mouth open a little, 'The expression of her eyes has changed.'

"So you're not going to withdraw? I'm not taking responsibility for what happens!" Neji warned as he went back to his cold look. 'I...I won't run away!' Hinata brought his hands up as he was performing hand signs.

'Don't underestimate me I don't...'

'I don't change my words. That's my Way of Ninja!'

'Hinata...why do you want to be a ninja?'

Flashback Jutsu:

"W-What d-do you mean?" A small Hinata stuttered while asking. He was caught off by the question as he would just have casual questions, not any serious questions. The two of them was sitting on a shaded tree that was near a river.

"W-Well umm...I don't want to be rude but...!" Y/n was panicking as his eyes close. "W-What I'm trying to say is, what the reason why you want to be a ninja?" Y/n finally came up with one. "I hear that it's so dangerous and you have to cold to your enemies. But despite all the hatred that you faced, you still act kind to them. Even your family treats you bad but you still care for them."

Hinata paused as he was able to understand what he was trying to say. But also he's right, even with some bullies that he faced and how mean some people are, he never was rude back to them.

"I...I want my family back..." Hinata answered. He was tucking his knee together as he was hugging himself. "I have a big family but they hated each other. All because of my branch, and I hate it."

"Hinata..." Y/n whisper as he see Hinata shaking a little. "H-Hey! We don't have to talk about it! Um...Um...w-we can talk about something else!" Y/n stuttered as he quickly hug Hinata, not wanting to be the reason that Hinata's crying.

"No!" Y/n jump as Hinata's shout. "I...I need to tell you! You've been with me and I trust you!" Hinata said while crying. "I want to bring my family back together. I want my little sister not being scared if she did something wrong then she wouldn't get hurt by her own family. There's even one person in my family who hates me the most because of what my father did to him, and I want to make it up to him."

Y/n understand what he meant and what was the reason why he wanted to become a ninja. "Then let's follow our dream together!" Y/n brought out his pinkie. Hinata wiped his eyes as he intertwine his pinkie. "R-Right."

Present Time Jutsu:

'...No more hiding!'

"Byakugan!" Hinata open his eyes as it change. Naruto gasp a little as Y/n's eyes widen "You can do it Hinata."

"Brother Neji!" Hinata got into his fighting stance, "I challenge you!" Lee recoil back as he recognize it, 'T-That is...?!' Guy look tense and serious as he watch the match. "Fine." Neji got into his stance as he look at Hinata.

"Of course, the same Hyuga style." Naruto and Y/n turn to Lee. "Hinata's pose is very similar to Neji's." Lee said. "Hyuga style?" Naruto said. "The strongest Taijutsu style in the Village Hidden in the Leaf." Lee explain. "Huh?" Y/n said as he saw Lee's fist clenched. "I said it before...the man who is most likely the strongest Genin of Hidden Leaf Village is on my team. That guy, Neji Hyuga."

Both the Hyuga glare at each other with their Byakugan as the both soon charge at each other. Hinata went to the first move, delivering a powerful blow but Neji blocked it. Hinata continue with the assault but Neji blocked it and quickly countered. Neji then launched multiple attacks as Hinata dodged it and one where he bend his back. He came back as they both try to hit one another, each countering or dodging their opponent's move.

Hinata move closer as he went for quick attack, making Neji leaning back wards. 'There!' Hinata saw and opening. It was like slow motion as Hinata the charge himself to attack, however Neji twisted his body to dodge it.

"No, it was shallow!" Naruto complained. "No. Even a graze works. That's the reason why the Hyuga clan is called the Hidden Leaf's distinguished family." Lee said. "What do you mean by that?" Naruto ask.

"The Hyuga has a particular Taijutsu passed down through generations. It's not like the kind of Taijutsu that Lee and I are good at. Our way of fighting, furious fist, is mainly to inflict external damage on our enemy, like broken bones and surface wounds. In contrast, the Hyuga's Taijutsu inflict damage on the Chakra Network through which Chakra flow through the body, and damaging the insides, namely, it destroys internal organs. They possess the Gentle Fist. It's not spectacular to watch, but later it slowly takes effect." Guy sensei explained.

"Well, you can't train the internal organs. Even if you were really robust, one hit from it would be a deadly blow." Kakashi joined.

Neji and Hinata stared at one another as they move to side. Not loosing a glimpse at their opponent. Soon Neji came up to the attack they both soon began to attack while trying to block and counter their moves. 'Even I can...' Hinata thought as he change his position.

'Hinata's on the offensive.' Shino thought loudly. 'Hinata!' Kurenai thought with worried but also with proud. "Way to go, Hinata!" Naruto cheered. "Come on Hinata, show everyone who you are!" Y/n cheered. "To attack the Chakra Network, it's impressive." Haku commented.

"Hey wait a minute!? How can they know where to strike!?" Naruto realize and ask. "It's because of their Byakugan. Their eyes can help them see the Chakra Network. Meanwhile the Gentle Fist attack is a little different from a regular attack. They release their own Chakra from a Chakra opening in their hand and screw it into their opponent's body. It directly inflicts damage on your enemy's Chakra Network." Kakashi explained.

Hinata brought his palm as he stared at Neji, 'Now!' A palm collided as it brought wind pressure. It was a clean hit.

"All right!" Naruto yelled. Y/n and Lee's eyes widen as both was worried while Guy and Kurenai sensei look taken back. 'Has he done it?'

Neither of them move, both stayed in place while they cant see the two's face. However but soon something came out.
