Chapter Two

Oh my God.

Park Jimin? As in the Park Jimin? That is why he looked so familiar-

Deep breaths, Ivanna. Deep breaths.

"Girl you served coffee to Park Jimin and did not even recognize him!? How the fuck-"

"Yeah, yeah I know. I'm a dumbass I know!" Ivanna groaned, while Alice stood somewhere in between amusement and shock. Amused as to how Ivanna made a fool of herself, and shocked as to how the Park Jimin stepped into their cafe and it didn't cause a chaos.

"This is insane. I literally went to the back kitchen for like ten minutes, and Park Jimin walks in and my best friend takes his order and doesn't even recognize him? This shit is gold."

At the redhead's laughter, Ivanna buried her face in her palms and let out a silent scream. Jimin had left the Café Amour after Ivanna almost died from the shock and breathlessness. But one thing that confused Ivanna was that Jimin was smirking after seeing the note. Like, he wasn't supposed to get all smug at that. The notes were all sweet and cute—

Oh, fuck no.

The note Alice wrote.

It was safe to say that had Ivanna silently screaming in her palms again and begging for the ground to open up and swallow her whole. This was worse than when she washed cookies with water cause she thought that would remove the dirt from them. Given that she was five at that time, but still! This was worse than the amount of times Jimin fell from his chairs and-

Deep breaths, Ivanna.

Meanwhile, Alice blew a raspberry and made a few more notes while Ivanna was having a mental breakdown. And an existential crisis as well, to be precise.

"Alice... I think he got the note you had written." At that, the redhead whipped her head up so fast she gave herself a whiplash. Ivanna nodded, her eyes slightly widening so as to seem more serious. "He was smirking after he left it, so I'm assuming it wasn't a note I wrote."

Alice nodded once. Twice. "Dude, you're so fucked," she said casually before continuing her calligraphy on a red-colored paper heart.

"Why...?" Ivanna tilted her head, her eyes narrowing in suspicion. "What had you writte-"

"Excuse me ladies, can I have an Iced Americano, please?"

"Holy sugar on a piece of cupcake with strawberry frosting..." Alice mumbled, her green eyes widening almost comically. Ivanna grew even more skeptical after seeing the expression mirroring on the customer's face. His doe-like eyes shifted at a lightning speed between Alice and Ivanna, and the brunette merely tilted her head in confusion.

"Jeon fucking Jungkook?!" Alice whisper-yelled, her jaw dropping. "Oh God, you're even hotter in person!"

"Well, uhm..." Smiling sheepishly, he scratched the back of his neck, looking everywhere but Alice's eyes. "Yeah, I'm Jungkook. I would really appreciate it if you could ensure a scene isn't caused," he whispered, bowing his head politely.

"Uh, yeah sure. We'll ensure that, Mr. Jungkook. No worries. We'll handle that, sure," Ivanna fired out, her smile widening in awe. She smashed the keyboard keys, before Jungkook paid the bill and took a seat below the painting of a Cupid, not too far from both the ladies.

"Yes. A me-cosplay was necessary. Yay!" The Cupid cheers adorably, before running back into watching from the shadows—or the Heavens.

"Holy shit... I'm gonna cream my pants at this point, Ivi."

"Ew. Gross. C'mon, Alice." Ivanna made a disgusted face while she put ice cubes in the coffee. Meanwhile, Alice stared shamelessly at Jungkook who was busy doing something on his phone. With her eyes widening in alarm, Ivanna whacked the redhead's shoulder and whisper-yelled, "Stop checking him out like that! He's a customer at the end of the day, we don't want him being uncomfotable!"

"Yeah, fair. But can you blame meeee? Have you seen that man? He looks like a walking five-course meal. I wish I could u-"

"Yeaaah, no. I'll live without knowing your wild fantasies for Jungkook. Thanks." Closing the lid of the glass, Ivanna placed the coffee on the top of the counter before scrambling through the drawers to find a tray.

Alice peeked down at where Ivanna was crouching down behind the counter, and she saw the opportunity, she took it. Quickly grabbing the glass, she made her way towards where Jungkook was sitting, and placed the coffee down in front of him.

"Sir, here's your Iced Americano," she said, her voice professional and sweet enough that it rang in Jungkook's ears, going over and over in his head for some reason.

Jungkook whirled his head up, before his eyes crinkled and his bunny teeth made an appearance as a result of his grin. "Thank you, Miss."

"Alice. You can call me Alice."

Humming in content as he took a sip of the coffee, Jungkook offered the redhead a smile. "Alice it is."

With a final smile and bow, Alice turned around and sauntered back towards the counter, where a very annoyed Ivanna was waiting to scold her. Jungkook locked his phone, keeping it face-down and watched the two ladies bicker while drinking his coffee.

There was one thing Jungkook would give Alice credit for: she knew when to be professional. Yes, she almost lost her shit when she first saw Jungkook, and was probably giggling about it with Ivanna, but she approached him professionally with the coffee, careful to not draw attention of the other customers. He'll give her that. That was attractive, given how rarely he saw that.

Tearing his gaze away from how the bottle green sweatshirt of Alice seemed to compliment her green eyes, and the way her lips lifted slightly at the corners when she was in her working aura, Jungkook decided to focus on anything else around him. Anything other than her. Cause if he didn't do that, he wasn't sure how much this woman was gonna pull him in.

Jungkook decided to take in his surroundings. He pushed his jet-black hair that reached the nape of his neck and crossed his legs. The ravenette's doe eyes traveled to the mini flower baskets hung on all the four corners of the cafe, mainly having daises in them. He breathed in the scent of freshly brewed coffee and the sweet vanilla scent of the cake—the same scent Alice had on herself too.

He was grateful for the less-crowded cafe. It gave him a chance to feel like a regular guy who could stroll around without having to worry about the paparazzi. Finishing his coffee, he stood up before tossing a glance towards Alice who was now taking the orders from the customers at the counter.

"By the way," he mused, standing tall in front of Alice's 5'4 feet height. "I heard what you said when I walked in."

It was safe to say that had Alice freezing in her spot and her amber eyes widening. Slightly in confusion, and slightly horrified.

"Uh—"

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about the..." He leaned in to whisper conspiratively. "five-course meal comment." Shooting her a knowing smirk, he winked before heading towards the door.

Alice stood there with her jaw dropped, before she heard Ivanna cackling from behind her. The redhead let out a whine and face-planted onto the counter.

"Fuck my life."
