Cupids POV

     I sit up and rub my eyes, letting them adjust to the sun rays penetrating through the blinds. Lila sleeping comfortably beside me shifts her bare body to the other side of the bed completely ignoring our daughters cries.

“I'm going to see what's up with Mia” I say before placing a kiss on her cheek.

“I'll meet you there in a few-she's probably hungry” she whispers sleepily, her eyes closed comfortably.

     I nod letting a smile graze my lips. Her sleeping here, being married to her it just feels surreal. It was like just yesterday when everyone was fighting against us getting matched. Now here we are four years later.

     Mia's piercing cries ring from the baby monitor breaking me out of my reverie.

     I pull on a pair of sweatpants before jogging towards the nursery.

     Her nursery was in array of hues ranging from the white on the walls to the pastel pink blinds.

     I pick up Mia from her wooden crib cradling her softly to my chest. Her big doe eyes look at me in awe as she stops crying clearly mesmerized by my presence.

“Isn't she an alarm clock” I hear cal yawn from the doorway.

     I turn to him sporting a smirk “Did she disturb you and your lady friend” I ask wiggling my eyebrows.

     He gives me a glare “How the heck did you even find out about that, wait dont even answer i dont even want to know” He finalizes before allowing his gaze stray to Mia.

She seems to steal all the attention lately.

     He shakes his head and opens mouth to talk but Lila interrupts him “Morning cal”

     She walks past him in her silky night robe and takes Mia before going to sit down on the giant white nursing chair.

“So has Janine left or you left her in the guest room all alone” Lila continues

Cal sighs in exasperation

 “I don't want to know how” he uses his index finger to motion to us “Both of you knew, but answering your question Lila yes she left last night”

     She pouts at him now genuinely sad “I thought you guys hit it off considering all the stuff you guys did”

     I mentally face palm her statement. He now knows we were spying on him last night.

     He narrows his eyes at her before his tuning his silvery eyes to me “You, what did you do”

I shrug nonchalantly.

Is it wrong to spy on my brother while he is on a romantic picnic in my backyard.

“I'm not sure myself, plausibly nothing”

     He stares at Lila, who upon receiving the heated glare cracks.

“Fine we may have been watching you guys from a secret place in the house, but in our own defense it's your fault for using the garden for a date we just couldn't resist it was too tempting” she rambles

“Plus your our new source of drama, TV isn't quite satisfying anymore” I continue

     He shakes his head before trying to take his niece from Lila.

“Shhh” she almost shouts at cal

“If you come closer she might Cry” she says before finishing with “again”.

     He simply rolls his eyes at her still taking Mia from her anyways. “Did you miss your uncle cal” she laughs as he tosses her up in the air before successfully catching her again.

     I sit on one of the one seaters in the nursery before Lila comes to sit on my lap.

    She leans into me letting me wrap my arms around her waist “He'll make a great Dad you know, can't just fathom why he like the idea”

     I nod at her statement briefly glancing at my daughter gurgling at cal.

     “We need to get him and Janine married pronto that's what this all says” I state proudly

     Lila only gives me a look at what I said but on the inside I know she is secretly agreeing with me.

     “I was suggesting make him a baby or give him ours” she winks at me playfully

     I quirk an eyebrow in amusement
“Such a bad mind lovebug”

     She plants a soft kiss on my lips before pulling away

“what can I say, learnt from the best”.

I really love this story so writing about them wasn't my best work compared to the writer of the book but I pray I did  the matchmaking characters some justice.
