Curry

Kirishima's lips on his own felt simply intoxicating. But this time they were interrupted by a loud stomach grumble from Kirishima.

The redhead laughed sheepishly and held his belly. "Sorry, I haven't eaten at all today."

Bakugou stood up and held out his hand. Kirishima took it smiling and let him pull him up. But then he hesitated.

"Say, Baku... do you mind if the others know we're together?" He suddenly stopped. "We are together, aren't we?"

Bakugou laughed softly at Kirishima's insecurity and kissed him briefly once again. "Of course we are. And no, as long as the others don't get on my nerves with it, it doesn't bother me at all."

Kirishima grinned. "Have you ever had people who didn't get on your nerves?"

Bakugou snorted. "Touché." He squeezed his hand encouragingly, before he dragged him towards the door. "Come on now, I'm not gonna let you starve to death." The redhead laughed and let himself willingly be dragged along.

---

Bakugou didn't let go of Kirishima's hand as they walked down to the common room together. He felt Kirishima's slight nervousness, but only tightened his grip. The blonde had never cared much for other people's opinions and didn't plan on starting now. He was just too happy to be able to hold his boyfriend's hand.

In fact, the common room was almost empty. Only Sero and Kaminari sat on the couch and talked, the controllers from their game, that they had apparently forgotten, still in their hands.

Bakugou wasn't particularly interested in the others and wanted to go directly to the kitchen. But Kirishima went straight for his friends and dragged Bakugou, his hand still tightly intertwined, with him.

"Hey, guys!" the redhead greeted them happily.

Sero, who sat with his back to them and hadn't noticed them, flinched, but Kaminari immediately raised his hand in greeting and had put on a wide grin.

"Hey Kiri! Good to see you again, finally slept in? Must have been a long night with your parents!" Kaminari said cheerfully.

Bakugou immediately stiffened and squeezed Kirishima's hand a little tighter. But the redhead didn't show any signs of discomfort, always maintaining his cheerful facade. Bakugou gave him a worried look. He was sad to know that Kirishima acted like this to avoid being a burden to others. He decided he'd bring it up later.

Sero also greeted Kirishima happily. "And are the two of you getting along again?" he asked and for the first time, during their short conversation, he focused on Bakugou. The blonde stiffened, but nodded. Only then did Sero's eyes drift towards their interlocked hands.

"Oh my God Kami, do you see what I see?" he asked and waved blindly in the direction of Kaminari, while his gaze stayed on their intertwined fingers.

Kaminari's mouth fell open briefly, but then he collected himself and looked at them with a glowing smile. "I told you they were getting along again." He giggled.

Kirishima rolled his eyes. "Pull yourselves together. Yes, we are together." He turned to Bakugou, who was suddenly uncomfortable with the situation. But a look into Kirishima's eyes immediately calmed him down again and a self-satisfied grin spread across his face.

"Come on, let's leave Pikachu and the tape dispenser alone and finally make you something to eat," Bakugou grumbled and dragged him towards the kitchen.

Sero snorted indignantly because of the nickname and Kirishima shrugged apologetically before following Bakugou.

"What would you like to eat? Breakfast or lunch?" asked Bakugou.

Kirishima laughed. "It's afternoon! A real meal, obviously."

Bakugou snorted in amusement as Kirishima released his hand to go to the freezer and he began to search wildly around in it.

"Frozen food isn't a real meal," Bakugou snorted and took the frozen pizza the redhead had pulled out of his hand and put it back. "Sit down, I'll make us something."

Kirishima beamed. "Seriously? What are you cooking? Can I help you?"

"Yes, curry and no. Just sit down," the blonde grumbled as he took the ingredients out of the fridge.

Kirishima grinned widely and did what he was told. He watched as Bakugou put the rice in the rice cooker and set a timer. He took some of the fresh chicken and started to cut it into small pieces, before he threw it in the pan and fried it. With skilled movements he cut the vegetables into small pieces and threw them into the pan as well. It sizzled, when Bakugou put coconut milk and some curry paste into the hot pan, and Kirishima's mouth watered when the curry aroma reached him.

"That smells fantastic, Baku!" He stood up and positioned himself behind him.

The blonde leaned against him, his self-satisfied smile on his lips again. "I don't know how you manage to stay so physically fit with the crap you're constantly stuffing into yourself."

Kirishima shrugged.

"Seriously, you should pay more attention to your health. You're on the way to becoming a hero. Your body is your temple, you should take better care of it."

Kirishima stared surprised at the back of his friend's head. Even though Bakugou's little lecture sounded a little reproachful, he knew he cared only for him. He didn't know this caring side of him at all. But he liked it.

He moved a little closer to his boyfriend and crossed his hands in front of Bakugou's stomach. "Does that mean you'll cook for me more often in the future?" he asked teasingly.

Bakugou clicked his tongue in annoyance but did not disagree which put a smile on his lips.

"Now sit back down, I have to finish this," said Bakugou frowning and Kirishima detached from him again.

Bakugou seasoned the curry with fresh herbs and picked a few chili peppers from his personal compartment in the fridge. He cut one of them open and put a core in his mouth to test how hot the pod was. He raised an eyebrow in appreciation before cutting it into small pieces and finally throwing it into the simmering curry sauce.

A few minutes later Bakugou had served the rice on two plates and generously added the curry sauce. Kirishima had put out the chopsticks and set a glass of water for each of them.

"Enjoy," Bakugou grumbled and started eating.

Kirishima's mouth watered. The curry smelled fantastic and he was so hungry. He sighed as he took the first bite in his mouth. The chicken was tender and the curry strong and spicy (but not too spicy, which Kirishima had secretly feared). In short, it tasted fantastic and was exactly what he needed. He felt Bakugou's gaze rest on him and he grinned at him. "That's fantastic, thank you Baku!"

Bakugou snorted. "Call me Katsuki."
