Chapter 5: Making Friends With The Hot Guy!! (Blake)

After the whole thing with Cal yesterday, Ale and I decided that it was best to get to know this guy.

I mean he knew Esme. He probably knew Esme's secret. But he had secrets of himself which we were determined to find out.

"Blake!! Did you eat breakfast?" Ale said waving her hands in my face because I spaced out again.

"No, I wasn't hungry." I said truthfully.

"You have to eat. Esme, do you have an apple?" Ale asked, turning to our friend.

"I don't. I am sorry." She said sadly.

"I do." I heard someone say behind me and I turn around to see who it was.

When I saw green eyes piercing my blue green ones, I knew who it was.

"Cal." I whispered under my breath, adjusting my hoodie on my head.

"Yeah, that is me." He said chuckling while I rolled my eyes.

"Do you have the apple?" Ale asked.

"Oh yeah. Here you go." He said handing me the apple.

"Thanks." I whispered again.

"Are you always this shy? I mean you are a smart girl." He said, making me almost choke on the apple.

"How do you know that?" I said.

"Every time the teacher sees your paper, she smiles. It means you are doing a great job." He said while I smiled a bit.

"Aren't you an observer?" I sarcastically.

"What can I say? I get spaced out sometimes." He said while shrugging his shoulders.

"Sometimes? You space out all the time, Cal." Esme corrected, smirking.

"Yeah. Okay I do that a lot." He said and scratched the back of his neck.

"I do, too. " I said while Ale laughed.

"Oh, she does. A lot. Like all the time."

The bell rang meaning we had to get to class.

"Bye, Cal and thanks." I said while he winked and walked away.

What the hell?!

I sat in my usual place in the table while the girls sat down also.

"Hey, girls." We heard a voice before the person sat across from me and Ale, next to Esme.

"Hey, Cal." We said while he smiled.

"Hey, Cal. Have you talked to you know who?" Esme whispered, but I heard it.

"Yeah. He hasn't said anything to her yet. Not wanting to get her hopes up." He whispered, me hearing it again.

"Good. We need more info on them." She whispered back.

"I have this." He said and straightening himself. He looked at us and smiled.

"Blake, why don't you take your hoodie off? Nobody has seen your hair color. Only your eyes." He said smirking and I gulped.

"W-why do you care?" I stuttered, looking at my food.

"Come on, I am just curious." He said, a smirk still plastered on his face.

"I can't." I whispered closing my eyes to try and forget that image.

"What is so bad that you can't show us your hair?"

"I said I can't!" I snapped, banging my hands on the table. I grabbed my back pack and got out of there.

I ran and ran and ran. I reached the gym and entered. I grabbed a quiver and a bow. I ran the the were the targets were and threw my back pack.

"One. Two. Three." I breathed in and out with the arrow pulled back to my cheek. I closed my eyes and let it go.

When I opened my eyes I had hit bullseye. I took another one out and fired. This one pierced the one that was in the bullseye.

"Blake!!!" I heard my name being called. I turned around to see Ale running towards me followed by Esme and Cal.

"God!! I thought something bad happened. Don't do that ever again." She said and hugged me.

She knew how touchy I was with my hair. It's a pretty touchy situation with me. What would be so bad that I don't want anybody to look at my hair, may have something to do with bullies.

"I am sorry, Ale." I apologized, hugging her back.

"Good, we found you." Esme said, panting for air.

"Sorry about that, but is just hair." Cal said while I turned away.

"It isn't just hair, Cal." Ale said while I debated if I should tell or not.

"Look, I just want to get to know you, okay?" Cal said and I took a huge breath before speaking.

"A couple of years back, there was this guy. He came to me and asked me out. In that time I used to wear my hair out and not hidden in my hoodie. We dated and everything. Till I found out he only liked me because of my looks. Since then I hide my hair and that is why I am really shy." I said, turning around.

"But that doesn't mean every guy is going to do the same." Cal said while I nodded.

"I know. I just take precautions. Why do you want to see my hair anyway?" I asked in curiosity, tilting my head to the side.

"He just wants to see if you have the same hair color as Alenora." Esme said quickly. This way I knew it was a lie, but I decided to shrug it off. It wasn't my business.

"Do you really want to see?" I asked while he nodded to excited.

With shakily hands I took my hoodie off, letting my light blonde hair show. I had it in a braid, pulled back.

"It's just like Lily's." I heard Calvin whisper to Esme.

"But her eyes are like...." Esme was cut off by Ale.

"Would you like to share?" She said with her hands crossed over her chest.

I smiled as I placed my hoodie again. Ale was that way. Plus Esme and Cal looked surprised.

"Uh, we really liked her hair." Cal said while Esme nodded.

"Thank you, but that is why it needs to be hidden." I said, tucking my bangs behind my ear.

"Yeah, keep it hidden." Cal said, weirdly.

"What is with you two? You guys are acting weird and very secretive." Ale said while I nodded.

"Nothing. We are completely fine." They both said in sync, a smile plastered on their face to reassure us.

"Okay, but you can tell us anything. If I showed you my hair, it means I trust you." I said.

"It's sounds like if you were Rapunzel and Mother Gothel at the same time." Esme said and Cal looked at her.

"What?! I know my Disney movies." She exclaimed, making us laugh.

"Come on guys, or we will be late for class." I said grabbing my back pack while they nodded.

As I walked back, a question was in my mind.

Who is the 'He' they both keep mentioning and who is Lily?
