yerin pov

"bbq, samgyeopsal. it's on me. i'll pay." sunghoon replies back, slightly smirking at me.

i was completely frozen, my eyes widened, my body stiffened, why's he asking me out for dinner ?

"u-uh, i've already eaten-" i stuttered but then was cut off by sunghoon.

"i'll answer all your questions, if you come." he replied back, smirking again at me, gosh that smirk is intimidating.

sunghoon pov

i was hungry. i didn't invite the girl to go have dinner with me because i wanted to, i mean eating alone sucks, and i don't want to go home, yet.

i start to exit the school completely, but pause to face yerin again.

"you not coming?" i playfully asked again.

"i-i h-huh, i'm coming sorry, i was dozing out." she replied back, she then started to follow me from behind as i took the lead, walking to the bbq restaurant.

after a few minutes, we were finally here.

heeseung's family owned this bbq restaurant, so i'm a regular customer here, and i get a discount, anyways i don't really need the discount since i've got a lot of money.

"sunghoon!" i heard someone exclaim from inside the restaurant, it was heeseung.

heeseung came walking towards me, it looks like heeseung has a shift today.

"you working now?" i asked.

"unfortunately," heeseung then paused, and looked at the petit figure behind me, yerin and whispered, "who's that? your girlfriend ?"

i then got pissed and flustered, "no, just some weird girl from my class."

"ahhh, she's not that pretty anyways." heeseung mischievously whispered back, i quietly chuckled.

"you can sit here." heeseung then announced suddenly, loudly, looking at the girl behind, yerin.

she sat down at the table and i sat opposite her, it was quiet and awkward, i prefer it that way anyways.

"no need to order, heeseung already knows what i normally order." i coldly imputed.

"so you come here often?" yerin awkwardly asked, i simply gave her a nod.

"you like samgyeopsal?" she asked again and in return i gave a simple nod again.

"ask me." i then coldly muttered.

"h-huh?" she replied back, stuttering.

"your questions."

"o-oh, well, are you interested--" yerin spoke just to be interrupted by heeseung who came to our table to give us the samgyeopsal to self-grill.

"here's your samgyeopsal." heeseung interrupted as he placed the plate of samgyeopsal onto our table. he then left our table, going back into the restaurant kitchen. then yerin tried to speak again.

"basically, are you inter-" she was interrupted again. by heeseung.

"here are your tongs and cutlery and plates." he interrupted again, bringing a tray of plates and cutlery onto our table and placing it neatly on it.

i wanted to laugh, heeseung being serious was not like himself.

i then grabbed the tongs he had given onto our table and started to grill and cook the samgyeopsal on the grill centered on the center of our table; yerin again, tried to talk again.

"are you interested i --" she then got interrupted again with heeseung, for the third time.

he came in with another tray with two bowls of rice and perilla leaves and lettuce.

"here are your rice and leaves." he muttered again.

this time i wanted to laugh so hard because of heeseung interrupting yerin by serving us our food and cutlery. i turned to see that she gave a frustrated look at heeseung, a mild one. i felt kind of bad. as i could understand her frustration.

"hey, heeseung serve us the noodles later." i muttered, so that yerin could talk to me in peace, and genuinely because i didn't want noodles now.

"sure my sunghoon!" he replied back happily, scruffing my hair, yes that's more like heeseung. heeseung then went off back into the kitchen and me and yerin were left alone.

"okay carry on." i coldly uttered, carrying on grilling the samgyeopsal.

"o-oh yes, are you interested in dating?" yerin asked simply, as if her question was not perculiar.

i paused, i paused me grilling the samgyeopsal with the tongs, my face paused, wait? does she like me? i mean if she asks me that, is she confessing? making me take the hint?

"or like a girlfriend? you interested in that?" she carried on asking, as i was still frozen.

"do you like me or something?" i chuckled confidently, she's just like the other girls.

"no!" she loudly shouted, at this rate heeseunf could probably hear her, "i have a boyfriend!"

woah, she's probably lying.

i then pass her some samgyeopsal that had been grilled and placed it onto her plate, she happily smiled, and smiled at me too, and wrapped it with rice in a perilla leaf. i also made one too, how much i missed the taste of korean bbq.

"who would date you." i chuckled again, after i finished chewing the food in my mouth, softly.

i could tell she was pissed, the chewing of her eating her food became faster and faster, as if she was desperate to say something.

"i do have one! he's in our class!" she enraged out, i rolled my eyes at her, who would date her at this rate?

"then who." i mischievously asked back, laying slighytly back into my chair, and crossing my arms.

"he's in our class, jake." she replied back.

there's only one jake in our class right?

wait,, jake ?

how tf?

there's only one jake, wait, jay's name is jay right, not jake,,

he said his girlfriend was named baek jiheon.

i started to doze off, not paying attention to the food that was grilling and starting to get over cooked, jake told me she was obsessed with him, maybe she is obsessive, very obsessive.

"you know jake right? i've seen you and him talk in class before and he talked about you a few times." she started to explain, i was still now paying attention.

i snapped out of me dozing away, and looked at her, to only see that she was blushing by the thought of jake, she really must be obsessive.

"hey, wait, what's your name again?" i playfully ask, to show that this wasn't a serious question. and also to reassure myself.

"i'm shin yerin, that's the third time i've told you." she exclaimed, annoyed.

her name isn't jiheon, it definitely isn't. so she must really be obsessed with jake, she must really think she's his girlfriend,,

"hey," yerin then snapped, waving her hand in front of my face, "the foods burnt now, thanks."

"whatever, i'm leaving now." i coldly replied, grabbing my school bag from the back of my chair, as i stood up from the table i could see that yerin stood up too.

"hey, hey, i don't have any money to pay though." she panicked, i gave her another funny looking smirk.

"i'll pay, enjoy the leftovers." i muttered, i paid at the till where heeseung's dad was, with my card and left the restaurant.

gosh i have learnt a lot today.

yerin pov

damn it, i missed my opportunity.

i can't believe i still haven't gotten the name of his crush.

maybe he hasn't got one?

that's impossible. i've got a boyfriend yet i'm still crushing over choi yeonjun from txt, sorry jake i still love you.

as expected, sunghoon and heeseung were close, the most popular guys at school.

suddenly, from the restaurant kitchen, a figure coming out of the kitchen was seen, it was heeseung.

he gave me a bright smile and sat in the seat that sunghoon was sitting on earlier, right opposite me.

this is awkward.

"are you and sunghoon close ?" he suddenly asked, however; compared to sunghoon, he wasn't cold, but instead, asked in a happier and more meaningful tone.

"a-ah no, hes just a classmate." i replied back, giving back a smile, woah, i see why everyone likes heeseung, he's a year above me yet he's so nice and seeet and gets along with people well.

"well, your the first person he's tooken with him here, he comes here often too." he suddenly announced, me? the first person?

"really? i thought he would come here with his other friends often." i simply replied, as i didn't know what to reply back with.

"want me to tell you a secret?" heeseung then suddenly whispered, smiling.

i quickly nodded, as saying no would be a awkward.

he then gestured me to come closer to his head as he was whispering, quietly.

"it's not really a secret, but you know all the guys that hang out with sunghoon, like youngbin, niki, kyungmin, jungwon and the other kids, sunghoon doesn't actually talk to them. he only really talks to me, jake, euijoo and jay, so he's got 4 friends. he's quite introverted." heeseung carries onto whispered.

sunghoon, introvert? pftt. he seems arrogant and rude, and someone who had a lot of friends.

"you're joking right?" i playfully answer.

"nooooo, well it looks like your his friend too so please make sure you look out for him, he seems tough on the outside but he's been hurt a lot of times inside, after an incident, i shouldn't tell you, but, anyways, make sure you look out for him," heeseung carries on, he then stood up from his seat, "don't tell anyone i told you, okay?"

heeseung then started to go back into the kitchen area, as busy hours were soon ahead, around 7pm when everyone's having dinner.

heeseung didn't seem like the type to lie.

an incident? now i feel bad, he seems tough on the outside but he's probably been hurt a lot growing up.

sunghoon pov

i quickly dashed out of heeseung's family's restaurant, i regret not being able to eat that much, i haven't had samgyeopsal in so long.

i went to the nearby pc room, and started to play games on a computer, i had paid for three hours just to not go home, hopefully i can sneak back home whilst my parents are asleep.

however, whilst playing fortnite, all i could think about was earlier, yerin is jake's girlfriend ?

no, no, don't overthink it sunghoon, it's not like jake has two girlfriends, she's just obsessed, i think.

i then decided to text jake, because i'm dumb and cant solve things out myself.

jake didn't reply for like a two minutes so then i chucked my phone in front of my keyboard i was using at the pc room, and started to carry on my game.
