Cupid paced up and down in the small cubicle called a room he's been given and pulled at his hair angrily.

He has spent two freaking nights in this room with Psyche on the same bed and he hadn't been inside her.

He never shared a bed with a woman without filling her womb with his juices and yet he had spent two nights with Psyche and she hadn't noticed the bulging in his shorts each time it was time to sleep.

The worst of all was that he hasn't seen the two guys who he had seen three days ago because the snowstorm had refused to reduce.

When he gets back successfully from this mission, he would be sure to give the god of weather a piece of his damn mind.

"Cupid, get over yourself I'm sure the storm will reduce today."

He glanced up and groaned. This was the third day he was seeing Psyche in a towel, her hair dripping wet and her skin glistening with water.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself," he said glaring at her twinkling eyes.

"I'm just proud of myself for raising different desires from the god of desire," she replied in an innocent voice. The kind of voice that made him think of lots of things he could make her scream with that voice.

Turning on his heels, he pulled open the door and strode out ignoring the painful bulge below him.

In his haste to escape, he bumped into Ella.

"I'm so sorry," he apologized steadying her.

She nodded, her eyes not meeting him as she smiled and hurried away.

Something smelt fishy, he mused before following her silently.

He saw her climb over the garden fence and race out of the streets.

Woah! This girl was determined.

Gently creeping after her, he saw her with the young man who was supposed to get shot by the arrow. They hugged each other and shared a passionate kiss again.

"I love you, Ella," he heard the young man whisper in her ears.

Cupid took in the appearance of the guy and nodded. He was quite a handsome man with his black wavy curls, brown eyes, and athletic build.

"Why won't they let us be together, my love?" Ella cried.

"I don't know either, Ella," he replied patting her hair.

Cupid's heart went out to the young couple. He couldn't resist true love and he always helped out forbidden lovers or star-crossed lovers.

Opening the garden gate, he walked towards them while the guy kept his eyes trained on him.

"What is it?" Ella asked noticing the change in her lover's mood.

Well, she was observant, he mused.

"Cupid!" She exclaimed when she saw him, her eyes pleading with him.

He was now standing in front of the lovers and he grinned. "Hi, I'm Cupid and you are?"

He saw how Ella's lover glared at him.

"I'm Jared, Ella's boyfriend."

He chuckled. "I know lover boy, I'm not here to snatch her away from you I'm here to help."

"Help?" Ella asked happily.

He nodded while Jared eyed him suspiciously.

"Who are you again?"

"This is Cupid, he's staying as a house guest in my house," Ella explained, "They were traveling to the neighboring town when he caught cold and mom decided they should stay with us till after the snow."

"They?" Jared questioned.

Hmmph, someone has trust issues, Cupid refrained from rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, I'm with my sister, Psyche."

"What kind of name is that?" Jared asked chuckling.

"None of your business, do you need my help or not?!" Cupid snapped at them. He blamed Psyche for not thinking of a different name for them.

"Sorry," Jared apologized smiling sheepishly at him.

"So, why aren't you both allowed to be together?" Cupid asked.

"Our parents and siblings said it's a taboo for us to be involved romantically," Ella replied with a small shrug.

"Did you ever ask why?" Cupid probed further.

They both shook their heads.

"We asked but they told us nothing," Jared replied.

That asshole, James never tells me anything.

Cupid grinned as he listened to Jared's thoughts before nodding at them.

"Do you know that James is in love with Cassie and the same goes for her?"

He might as well have dropped a bomb on the two humans because their jaws were on the floor waiting to be picked up by the one who would first realize is jawless.

"You-you mean my sister?" Ella asked in a strangled whisper.

Cupid shrugged. He had figured James would be the guy who got shot with his arrow so he needed to convince these two their siblings had feelings for each other before he can proceed to talk to the individuals and he knew they would feel something, no one could resist the arrows he just needed to speed things up.

"But they separated us that night," Jared said, massaging his temples.

Cupid grinned. He was right again. "I know they have feelings for each other but they don't know yet."

That sounds so stupid! His subconscious mocked him.

"That's a good explanation because they are both stubborn," Jared agreed with him.

Ha! In your face. Cupid did a happy dance inside.

"They both won't acknowledge the feeling even if they are punched in the face," Ella said frowning.

Cupid smiled. "That's where you come in, you will help them realize what they are feeling."

"But the snow..."

Jared interrupted Ella. "It's over now, babe. We can do this so we can be together forever."

Forever is such a long time, he bites his tongue and smiled.

"Yes, I and my sister will help you guys."

"What's in it for you?" Jared sounded wary.

He nodded smiling at them. "I derive joy in seeing two souls merge and bond together as one through love."

The sad truth is you are a sappy romantic deep down, Cupid.

If it was possible to beat your subconscious, Cupid knew he would have done that a long time ago.

He ignored the tiny voice in his mind and focused on the hopeful couple.

"What do you want us to do?"
