"Get out of the way!"

Cupid was barely able to push the human away from the incoming angry immortal before a ball of lightning struck the side of his feet.

It was enough to make James pass out while Cupid whirled around to face the settling bright light that turned into a handsome man with his body sculptured like a sculpture, as hard as stone.

His sharp jaw was unmoving and his bright blue eyes glared at Cupid, a ball of energy crackling around him.

"Don't be stupid, put it down," Cupid said calmly.

The god remained where he was, the ball of lightning still in his hands.

"You do realize you can't kill me right?"

"No, but I can hurt you!"

Even his voice managed to shake the ground and Cupid sighed. All these gods and goddesses that had some connection with nature always had this impact on Earth.

"What do you want, Thor?"

Thor sneered at him before shooting him the ball of lightning. He was barely able to dodge it before being encased in a white glowing light.

He could sense the aura even before he saw her step into the garden.

"Thanks, Psyche. He almost fried me alive," he said chuckling.

Thor roared before charging at him only to be bounced back by the light.

"Stop this, Thor!"

He loved women but he respected strong women and Psyche was an example of that with the way her voice sounded—strong and commanding—he knew he would go to any length to make her his consort.

"What are you doing here, Psyche?" Thor asked his eyes wide with surprise.

"It's not important as what you're doing here," Psyche fired back, "The humans will be here soon."

"Then let's go somewhere else!"

Cupid was about protesting at Thor's suggestions when he felt a gust of wind, he shut his eyes till the wind ceased. He found himself standing at the edge of a cliff.

They were probably on a desert far away from civilization, Cupid mused.

"What brings you to Earth, Thor?" Psyche asked again, "You made quite an entrance the humans thought an earthquake was about to begin."

"Not my problem!" Thor snapped keeping his blue eyes fixed on him.

"Well?" Psyche prompted.

Thor spared her a glance and burst into a cackle. "You came here for him...despite what happened before? Don't you ever learn, Psyche?"

"Shut it!" Psyche snapped through gritted teeth.

Cupid looked at both of them trying to read their mind but Psyche was careful about her thoughts because she knew he was about to poke around but didn't want him to.

Thor's mind was just filled with different plans on how to take revenge on him. His aura was pure anger.

"What are you both talking about?" He finally asked.

"None of your concern," Psyche snapped.

"Do you want me to tell him, little goddess?" Thor sneered.

"Shut up!" Psyche yelled.

Cupid barely recognized her as a burst of white bubble encased her aiming straight for Thor. With all her might, she released her energy on him, Thor crumpled to the ground.

He hadn't expected that from her, Cupid could tell with the look on his face. Thor was enraged.

"I didn't come to pick a fight with you little goddess," Thor snapped.

Psyche glared at him. "Then mind your damn business!"

Ooh, that's what he calls a kick-ass woman, Cupid cooed in his mind.

Psyche shot him a curious look and shrugged. "I'll be around."

He stared at her as she stalked away before focusing his attention back on Thor.

"You think she's gonna choose you over the other gods?" Thor asked in a mocking tone.

"What do you want, Thor?" He hissed, his temper flaring up.

"To see how the curse was working perfectly but turns out another one of your sex conquests came to your rescue," Thor replied.

"Psyche is not my sex conquest—"

"—Yet." Thor wore an amused look on his face and it irritated Cupid.

"Tell me why you are here and leave!" He snapped.

"Leave Sif alone!" Thor bellowed. His red hair and red beard glistening dangerously as a storm formed around him.

So this was about his wife, Cupid mused thoughtfully, he was tempted to burst into laughter but he didn't want to risk being skewered by Thor's hammer so he kept a straight face.

"I have nothing to do with Sif I'm right here, Thor," he sighed.

Thor eyed him, giving him a quizzical look. "I don't believe you."

Cupid sighed sitting down on the make-shift bark of a tree. "I didn't expect you to."

"She's constantly asking for you," Thor said bitterly.

"I was supposed to help her do something before I was banished," Cupid replied.

Thor narrowed his eyes to slits as he stared at him.

"What?!"

"It's not what you're thinking but it's about your daughter."

Thor let out a strangled groan and tackled Cupid to the ground, his fist a few inches away from smashing his face.

"You are responsible for Thrud's pregnancy!" He growled.

"I would like to stand up right now," Cupid said calmly ignoring his earlier outburst.

"You dare to plant your seed in her?" Thor roared. The sky rumbled with thunder and lightning yet no sign of rain.

"She was betrothed"

Cupid sighed. He didn't want to be squashed by Thor's first and neither did he want to be fried by lightning.

"Psyche, a little help!" He hollered.

"Get lost! You haven't changed one bit." He heard Psyche's voice over the howling storm and he sighed.

Guess no one was coming to his aid tonight and he was going to be beaten severely because despite being banished as a dwarf a spell has been placed on him never to be killed so even in his human form, he was still immortal.

"You are attracting unwanted attention, Thor!" Cupid snapped.

"I am not afraid of mortals. I am Thor, the god of thunder, lightning, wind, and storm!"

As he spoke the clouds gathered, lightning and thunder clapped together in the skies, the wind howled widely and Cupid could hear the terrified wails of the humans.

"Tornadoes!"

"Earthquake!"

"Sandstorm!"

He could hear each one of their frightened voices and it pissed him off.

"Silence."

It wasn't a word spoken with force but with authority and immediately everything ceased.

Thor was on his knees immediately while Cupid being Cupid remained on the ground.

Only Psyche disappeared.
