                                                               Third Person POV

     It was pretty sunny on Inkwell Isle today. No clouds, no wind, just a sunny sky on a soft valley of grass. Cuphead was playing outside with his twin brother Mugman, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine before nightfall comes to claim it for itself. The two boys were currently trying to capture a butterfly in their net, it was the only butterfly they have yet to catch and set free yet. The boys laughed as they chased after it, smiles big on their faces.

     "You keep after it Mug! I'm going to try and come at it from behind!" Cuphead whisper shouted to his brother. The two had to keep their voices down for the sake of Elder Kettle, who was napping in his rocking chair outside the house the three shared. Mugman nodded to his brother, chasing after the butterfly as Cuphead ran behind the trees to loop around... Only to run face first into a young woman that was on her way to visit a friend. The two both fell backwards, Cuphead dropped his net in the fall and rubbed his head, shaking it to make the world stop spinning.

     "Sorry about that! Didn't mean to run into you!" the woman apologized, returning to her feet and dusting herself off.

     "Nah, it's fine, don't worry about it," Cuphead responded, opening his eyes now that his head isn't swimming. He look up at the woman and literally had to bite his tongue to keep himself from gasping. She looked just like the girls he would see on singing shows on TV that he and his brother would watch on rainy days. Stunning. The girl smiled and held out her hand to help the young boy up, which he gladly took to help him stand.

     "Thanks miss! Weird question, but have I uh, seen you somewhere before?" He asked, wanting to see if she was in fact a singer that might have been on TV.

     "I don't think so, I'm pretty new to the area," She answered, fixing her shirt from the fall. Well, that was one plan busted. 

      "Alright, sorry, you look familiar. It's nice to meet you miss!" Cuphead greeted, smiling kindly and politely. The girl smiled back and giggled, telling him her name.

      "It's nice to meet you as well! Mind if I ask for your name?" she asked, finally finished fixing her shirt.

      "I'm Cuphead! I was playing with my brother Mu- OH MY GOSH I LEFT MUGMAN HANGING!" Cuphead shouted at the sudden realization, startling the young girl.

      "SORRY MISS, I HAVE TO GO!" he shouted, quickly picking up the almost forgotten(damnit brain stop thinking of Oswald) net on the ground and starting to dash back to the area where he left Mugman to catch the butterfly. Before he disappeared, he spun around to face the woman.

     "Will I see you again sometime soon miss?!" he shouted so she could hear him.

      "Yeah! I'm moving in nearby! Get going and get to your brother!" she shouted back, smiling and waving goodbye to the boy. Cuphead smiled and ran over to help Mugman catch that pesky butterfly. This endeavor would lead to disappointment and failing to catch the butterfly once again, but he hardly had time to be sad, his mind was too preoccupied with wonder at the thought of that new woman on the island.

     She certainly had him captivated. In an extremely good way.
