(This story is Incomplete because idk what to write lol sorry)
You were a human toon that was adopted by Cala Maria when she  found you almost drowned in the sea.

You were playing in the sand digging around for seashells for your collection.
You were crouched down in the sand holding a green pail that had barnicles covering the bottom of it.
Digging in the white hot and sometimes wet sand finding clams, Mussels, and baby Conches.
Nothing special really.
After a while you would retreat back to your little hut hidden in some large rocks that acted like a cave.
You yawn a bit putting your plastic bucket and shovel on a small shelf carved out of rock.

In the small hut wasn't much but it was home. Room for your shells and things you find along the beach on which you would later show mama Cala.
She wasn't around in the day for some reasons that you didn't know. But every night or so she would leave food for you and leave or would stay to keep you company.
Today was one of those days. She told you the day before she would stay for the whole day with you since she wasn't busy.

Of course you were excited. So you gathered all of your shells and organized them and dusted sand and debris off of your "furniture".

When you move your blankets away
You see your tiny crab friend with a birb leaf trying to dust a bit off of the bed but his efforts were defeated.

You smile
"Come on. We need to wait for momma."
You pick up the tiny crab and put him on a table then you sit in the sand waiting for Cala.

Later...
Cala emerged from the seafoam and waves of the ocean. She was pretty as ever... You smile excitedly and shake your little buddy, crabby, from his nap where he was on your knee.
"Crabby! Momma is here!"
You get up and smile running towards the mermaid.
"Hello (y/n)!"
"I missed you so much!"
" i have too! Now since I'm here what do you have planned?"
"Follow me!"
Cala comes out of the ocean and (stay with me here i need to use logic) with her legs instead of her tail.
"Welcome to my home!" You showcased your small shack in the rocks
