Part 3!
It's been 10 years. Elder kettle raised the boys on his own with no sign of his daughter ever coming back.
Now both of the boys reaching their early tween years, 11 and 12.
They've asked the question about their parents, and not wanting the kids to worry about the real story of what happened to (y/n), he kept a straight story.
"She brought you two boys to me one night and that was it. No idea what happened to her as I tried looking for her after a while..."

Cuphead's memory of his mother was fuzzy.
He couldn't remember what she looked like, and no idea what she was like. He didn't even remember the moment she left them, but somehow he remembered the sound of her voice.
Somehow it's vaguely familiar.
He could remember the smoothness of her voice and calming it sounded, but there was also...sadness.
Sorrow. He couldn't figure out why that was.
He would try not to think of that part.

Truth is. He did find her.

She was in ink well isle still. It was almost a year after she had left them.
He tried to confront the woman, and hopefully get answers to where she disappeared to.
Only for (y/n) to blink blankly for a few seconds and nervously smiled, "pardon me sir, but do I know you? I apologize to disappoint, but I don't think I am who you're looking for."
Elder kettle's heart sank, it seemed that (y/n) had forgotten him. She had a genuine look of confusion on her face.
He couldn't believe it. What kind of joke was this?
"(Y/n)! I'm Elder kettle, your father? Don't you remember? You have two boys! They're at home."

"I'm sorry, sir but I don't have a father. And two kids? I do have boys, but they're at my home. How do you know this? I'm sorry sir but I haven't met you before in my life."

Elder kettle didn't believe what he was hearing, how can she not remember? Where had she gone? And all of a sudden she's here? Long after a year and she's acting like she's forgotten everything.
He looked at her and noticed a sudden glimmer on her hand.
It was a ring.
It was a bright golden band with a gigantic (gem/stone) on the top surrounded by smaller stones like it.
(Y/n) noticed his admiration of her ring.
Her confusion melted away as she held her hand out to give him a better look at the ring.
"Isn't it beautiful? My fiancée just proposed, we're getting married soon!"

Elder kettle didn't know what to think.
He head was aching,
"Yea, I know it's strange that someone like me would be marrying the devil. Huh? But it's really funny story. But i shouldn't bombard you with such things."
And that's what made everything make sense again.
The devil.
Of course. No wonder.
She bid him a final farewell and that was truest the last time he had seen her.
Besides the wedding.
It was a gruesome event.
She walked down the Aisle by Herself.

His heart was shattered in pieces, when she said, "I do"
And gave the devil that kiss to seal the deal.
He wanted to throw up.
His made his insides steam and boil.
What does one do in this situation?

He went home after the reception.
And at home with the boys, they seemed chipper and happy as always.
He didn't have the heart to tell them.
No heart to tell them anything about their mother.
She had moved on, but by the devil it seemed to be out of his hands.

Hopefully he can keep this secret for as long as he could.
