The drive to the hospital took about fifteen minutes, but the moment before Winter could rush out from Aeri's car, the manager held her by the arm.

"Winter, stop!"

"Now, what?" Winter wants to argue, but her eyes darted to the face mask Aeri handed to her with her other hand.

"Wear this. We don't want news to spread out," Aeri warns before Winter quickly snatches away the mask and wears it on.

Dang. She almost forgot that she is a public figure.

Winter immediately went to the lobby, leaving Aeri to park her vroom vroom on her own. As she was standing in front of the counter, demanding answers, the staff could only stare at her in suspicion.

"Just tell me where Karina Yu is. She just arrived here about... five minutes ago? Or maybe, ten minutes ago? I don't know, I didn't count how long she's gone," Winter said to the staff, but she only received cold answers and negligence.

"Sorry, miss. But our patient information is private, we couldn't tell you—"

Winter had enough of this nonsense, so she slightly pulled down her mask for the staff to see. The woman eyes went wide open, realizing who she was talking to.

"Oh my god! You are Win—"

"Yeah, that's why," Winter scoffed as she pulled her mask back up quickly. "We were shooting for our sitcom just now, and she got hurt. I kind of followed her here, just to check her out. Now, can you please tell me where she is?"

Winter ran to the emergency wards, finding the specific location the staff told her just now. She slides many curtains, only to get returned with anger and shockness from her mistakes.

Poor that one old man who almost got a heart attack when Winter suddenly slides his curtain open.

When Winter finally slides open the right one, she saw the older actress lying down on the bed, with an IV drip attached to her wrist. Karina is still unconscious, Winter guessed from how her eyes still close.

The younger actress then took her seat right beside the bed. Karina condition doesn't look that bad, to be honest. Just a small bandage on her forehead might be from the small injury that stupid fake lamp post caused her just now.

Winter honestly doesn't know why she is here. Sure, she told Aeri just now that she just wanted to be there, taking pity at Karina, who had her manager absent.

Now that she is here, what should she do?

Winter pouts once, staring at the unconscious actress before she takes out her phone to tell Aeri where she is. She scrolled her phone now to see the massacre the fake lamp post has caused to the sitcom group chats.

"Wow... What a mess from a single lamp post..."

"Really?"

"Oh my lord!" Winter jolted from her seat, realizing that the older actress is now woke up, smiling at her. "You were sleeping a minute ago, and now you suddenly wake up and try to give me a heart attack!"

"Sorry," Karina apologized, still in her tiny smile. "How's everyone doing at the set?"

Winter rolled her eyes as she scoffed. "That's what you want to know? Miss, please be aware that you are the one who is hurt here. Look at yourself, and don't mind about the others," Winter lectured as she shook her head.

"I'm just curious, Winter. I've made a mess," the older actress sighed heavily in guilt, but before she could continue more, Winter beat her.

"They'll be fine. They keep asking me how you are. I guess you are pretty fine?" Winter smiled awkwardly, showing her teeth before her mouth quickly turned flat again. "Seriously, fix your aim. Your aim sucks."

With their light banter coming alive again, Karina was sure enough that everything would be fine, like Winter said. "Fine-fine, miss knows everything. My aim sucks. My bad," she laughs lightly. "What are you doing here alone, tho?"

"Me?"

"Yeah, who else? I'm definitely not asking the ghost right behind you," Karina snorted.

"Ha-ha. Not funny," Winter snorted back. "I am not alone. I'm with my manager. Talking about her, where the hell is she?" Winter brows furrows as she looks at her phone. Oh! One unread message.

Dumbass ManagAeri
I'll wait at the lobby. Have fun flirting with your partner!

"She's— What?!"

"So, why are you here anyway? I can manage to be alone," Karina didn't seem to give up with her question, pursuing Winter to answer her. When Winter stares at the desperation in Karina's eyes, she quickly turns her head away, coughing a few times.

"I mean... You are alone! I'm just being human because I poor you!" Winter murmured. "Look at your forehead. I bet you'll look ugly later!" Winter scoffed, trying to change the topic.

But it is hard when Karina keeps flashing her sunshine smiles and bright eyes.

"Thank you, Winter. I meant it," she smiled wider.

Winter feels like she would be the one who will get a heart attack at the moment.

Maybe they didn't realize it. Both of them were pretty dense and stupid. Maybe they weren't that pretty dense, but both of them were a bit foolish for not realizing the redness on both of their cheeks.

Thus, to make everything less awkward and go back to normal, Karina started first.

"What's wrong with being ugly with a bandaged forehead? I bet my fan would love me even more. I'll look like a badass woman, and I might steal your fans too!"

"No way!" Winter gasped loudly. "With your stupid Shinchan's bandage on your forehead? No way! You ain't stealing my fans away from me!"

That's how they went back from heartwarming co-stars to foolish bantering enemies.
