Chapter 1: Halloween Bash

It was the day before Halloween. The cold breeze filled the atmosphere as fake cobwebs hung on trees. It was 7:45 AM and everyone was inside their classrooms, including our heroes, the CSI Crusaders. The CSI Crusaders are 7th graders with superpowers who are a team of friends who fight all kinds of evil involving their school, themselves, and the world. They were talking in the classroom as their Halloween costumes covered their bodies.

"I can't wait for Halloween! I'm going to be stealing all the candy I can find!" Clarice, the leader of their team, snickered as she fixed the belt on her kunoichi suit.

"I'm totally not going to toilet paper people's houses!" Quan lied in his Purge suit as he threw a roll of paper towels at Joon right next to him, who in his Naruto costume, attacked Quan for revenge in some kind of "Beat annoying person till he bleeds" jutsu.

Then, their teacher, Ms. Colada, dressed up as sailor moon, leaped into the room and clutched a box of cupcakes with orange frosting and a gummy worm on it. Her dark cocoa brown pigtails hung by the sides of her head as she opened her same colored eyes and looked at her students.

"Good morning class! Are you ready for the party?" Ms. Colada asked as she turned her back to the class, placing the cupcakes on the back table filled with food.

As soon as announcements ended, the party started. As everyone grabbed food and placed it on their plates, some kids began to set up the games.

"Hey, should we try those cupcakes Ms. Colada brought?" Akimbo asked as he pointed at the orange frosted cupcakes.

"Nah! They look disgusting!" Wesley commented as Ricardo to "choke".

"Oh my god, Ricardo!" Mitch acted worried, knowing about what was going to happen.

As Ricardo began to fall on the ground, he rolled around the floor coughing. But suddenly he stopped when he was right by Akimbo's feet. He pointed at his shoes and screamed,

"What are those?!"

Quan laughed as Abigail rolled her eyes as sarcasm, despite finding this kind of funny. Akimbo began to stare at Ricardo, as if he was ready to kick him, but that was interrupted by the sounds of coughs coming from Ms. Colada. Everyone turned around to spot Ms. Colada slouching and gripping onto a chair as the crumbled cupcake she brought lay by her shoes. With no warning, her fave hit the floor like a domino. Blackout. Only pure awe filled the air.

"Ms. Colada? If you're trying to trick us with that "What are those", it's not working..." Amelia began shivering as Ms. Colada did not laugh nor scream, but instead stay as silent as a temple.

"She...she..." Abigail was trying to find her voice, but Eddie always has his.

"SHE'S DEAD!" Eddie screamed, obviously thinking of the worse case scenario.
