Case 2B Part 1
Mangareader90 here. Tired. I'm sleep deprived. (So is Sam but she won't admit it). Enjoy this story and GO TO BED SAM.
"Manga? You in there?" I hear a soft voice and a knock on my door. I had just finished getting ready, all I needed to do was grab a piece of bread or something for breakfast. I went to the door and opened it, seeing Sasori standing there. Beside him was some man I had never seen before, there were stitches across his lips, but I didn't stare at them. He looked apathetic.
"Yeah, sorry. If you had come here earlier you would have gotten a chance to see Sam," I told him, inviting the both of them inside.
"We won't be in here long, we just wanted to let you know we have a new case," Sasori said, following me to the kitchen.
"That's great. What is it about?" I asked, grabbing an apple. I'll eat it on the way there.
"Someone escaped from jail. He goes by the name of Momoichi Zabuza. He's tricky to find," Sasori told me.
"What was he in there for?"
"Attempted murder," Sasori responded.
"Of who?" I asked and Sasori thought about it before responding.
"Hatake Kakahsi. Oh, this is Kakuzu," Sasori motioned towards the other man, whom extended his hand towards me in greeting.
"It's a pleasure to meet you sir," I nodded my head.
"It's nice to meet you as well," he responded. His voice was very deep.
"Kakuzu handles our money. He's a cheap b******," Sasori added.
"If you were smart you'd keep your mouth shut," Kakuzu turned his attention to Sasori who smirked.
"Nothing wrong with trying to save some money," I shrugged.
"My thoughts exactly," Kakuzu smiled at me and Ireturned it.
"Let's get working on this case," Sasori interrupted and I nodded.
"Where were his last wereabouts?" I asked.
"Mist Village. That town is about an hour's drive away from here. It'd be best to leave now," Kakuzu responded.
"Exactly. Manga, you'll be riding with us. That is okay with you isn't it?" Sasori asked and I nodded.
"Yeah, I'll be there in a sec. I need to call Sam for a moment," I smiled at them and they left.
I dialed Sam's number and she picked up on the second ring.
"Manga. He made me change in the backseat. That b****** made me change in the backseat!!"
"I'm sorry about that."
"So what's up?"
"Some criminal is on the run and we're going to find him. You?"
"Uzumaki Boruto is missing. Son of Uzumaki Hinata and Naruto."
"That's horrible."
"Don't worry, we'll catch the b******," Sam assured me and I smiled. In the background I could hear Kisame.
"Is that Manga-kouhai?! Hi kouhai!!!" Kisame's voice was energetic and deep as always.
"Kisame says hi," Sam told me and I laughed.
"Tell him I said hi Kisame-senpai," I told her and she did so.
"You two are both weird," Sam told me and I smiled through the phone.
"I'll burn your cupcakes tonight."
"WEIRD IS AMAZING."
"Bye Sam," I hung the phone up and started to walk out to where Kakuzu and Sasori were leaning against a cop car.
"About time. I'm a very impatient man, Manga," Sasori looked at me and I knew I made him wait too long.
"Sorry Sasori-senpai," I apologized.
"Let's get going, time is money," Kakuzu opened his the driver's door and got into it. I rode in the backseat and Sasori rode in shotgun.
"Wait. What happens when we get him?" I asked.
"He goes in the back," Kakuzu replied.
"And where do I go?" I asked.
"In the trunk," Sasori replied.
"Oh, please tell me you're joking," I begged. They didn't respond and I sighed.
"We must suffer for our jobs," Kakuzu responded.
I hope Sam was having a better time than me.
