CHAPTER SIX: DISAPPEARANCE

"Hey, have you guys seen Angelica?"

Barry turned to Cisco, a worry look etched on his face as he shook his head before a disheveled Marianna ran into the cortex.

"Guys, have any of you seen Angelica?"

Everyone shook their heads as she moved to the monitors next to Cisco and typed in Angelica's address, bringing it up on the screens.

"Any activity?"

Cisco pulled up traffic cams and saw Jonas car parked and him getting out of the house, looking around frantically before running into his police car and driving away.

"Change the cameras! Follow his car. Something's wrong."

Cisco changed the view, as the screens kept changing. In one shot, we were able to see Jonas take out his phone and dial someone.

Barry's phone rang as he looked down and saw Jonas' name flashing on his screen.

"What's up?"

"Barry, I need your help."

"What's wrong?"

"It's Angelica. She's gone."

Barry jogged into CCPD, spotting Jonas there surrounded by various officers. He turned, hearing Barry's familiar sneakers and frowned.

"What's going on? How did this happen?"

Jonas shrugged, pulling Barry aside, waiting until it was clear to say something.

"Did you get Cisco and Caitlin on the loop?"

Barry nodded before hearing heels bearing them. He turned, seeing Marianna walking towards them.

"Jonas, did you find Angelica?"

He shook his head before they huddled together.

"Guys, we need to get to S.T.A.R. Labs. They could help us find Angelica. Wherever she is."

"Yeah."

Barry turned to Jonas.

"When was the last time you saw Angelica?"

"Um, last night, when I gave her a phone charger. And I checked up on her 10 minutes later when she was completely asleep."

"Okay, we need to brief Cisco and Caitlin."

Barry pulled his collar down and showed Jonas his hidden mic.

"No need. They're hearing everything."

Jonas sighed and nodded.

"Shall we?"

They headed towards the elevator, worry looks on their faces.

"Alright, pull up video surveillance during 12am and 5am."

Cisco typed on the monitor in front of him as Caitlin did the same, both looking for footage.

"Got it."

Jonas, Marianna and Barry turned, looking at the screens, a footage of the camera in front of Jonas' house.

"Speed up the footage, this would take too long."

Caitlin sped through, as they looked and Barry held up his hand, and said, "Stop! I saw something!"

They stopped the footage and turned it to normal speed, looking and seeing Jonas' door opening, Angelica walking out.

"She left?"

"How is that possible?"

"Where could she have gone?"

"Follow the traffic cams."

The screens switched quickly, following Angelica until a familiar building was on the screen.

"S.T.A.R. Labs?"

"She's here?"

Barry ran out of the Cortez and around the building, inside and outside.

"I can't find her."

"Where did you check?"

"Inside and outside."

"What about the particle accelerator?"

A moment of silence was around them as Barry ran to the accelerator, stopping at the door and opening it, a cell strangely put there.

The whirring of the door was the only sound in the Cortex, as Jonas held his breath, arms crossed in front of his chest.

"She's here."
