Pearl woke up with a start. She tried to move but couldn't. She looked down and saw these strange cuffs around her wrists and ankles. The cuffs were glowing purple, like that of lightning. She tried screaming for help but no sound came out, covered by some cover that still allowed her to breath. She saw a door open and a strange man walked in. He was holding a clipboard with some paper on it. She tilted her head to the side and wondered what this man was doing. "Ah your awake," The man said, "let me just get this thing off of your mouth, and there." "Thanks," Pearl said, "what is this place." "I'll show you." And just like that her cuffs flew open and she fell to the floor. "Woah easy there, you might be shaky for a bit." The man helped her up and asked, "so your Pearl, right." "Yes." I answered confused. "Okay let me just show you your quarters and then we'll continue." "My quarters?" "It's where you sleep." "Uh okay." They walked a bit down a hall and turned right into an empty room filled with beds. "Your bed number is r52, just drop your stuff on the bed and let's go." Pearl walked around until she found her bed and dropped her bag on top. "So, why am I here?" She asked. "You'll find out soon enough." He answered back. "What's your name? "Thorn." "That's a neat name." "Uh, thanks. How about we get going." "Okay." They exited the room and continued down the hall. "So, to our left is weight room where you will be permitted to work out 5 days a week for a hour." "Might I ask why." "To keep your strength up." "Oh, that makes sense." The two of them continued down the hall until they came to a door that read 'To hiking zone'. "Hey what is that room for." Pearl said curiously. "Oh that room. It's meant for the people that choose a hiking course." "Okay." They came up to another door and Thorn asked, "would you like to go inside." "What's in there?" "Just the animal room." "Wait really!" "Yep. Each person is allowed to pick one animal as their beginning companion." "Neat. Okay let's go in." Thorn opened the door and Pearl walked in. Instantly noises came from all directions, over whelming Pearl. "You need a sit?" Thorn asked. "No I'm good." "Okay, fine then." They started walking until a Pearl noticed something in a corner. She walked up to the cage and looked inside. In it she saw a little creature that looked like a griffin and a dragon were fused together. She noticed that it was just lying in the corner, miserable, with its eyes hidden. "Oh what's this." Pearl asked in curiosity. "Oh you don't want him, no one does. He's always been like this ever since we brought him in. He just doesn't cheer up to anyone." "Well I'll try him." As soon as she said that the little creature showed it's face and she saw its beautiful amber, emerald, and aquamarine eyes. "Ah it's so cute." "Don't say I didn't warn you." Thorn said as he opened the cage door. Pearl walked inside and picked up the little creature. She swore she saw it smile. "I think I'll call it Flametail." "That's a fine name." "Thank you." They is exited the room and continued down the hall until they came to two big swinging doors at the end of the hallway. Thorn pushed opened the doors and they both walked inside. Pearl stared around and shrieked in terror. "Oh my gosh you have a tail."
