(The dress is what Nuria is wearing when she meets Crystal)

"What do you mean? You don't look much older than me." Crystal said slightly confused. "I may be young physically but mentally I am over 300 years old." Nuria replied and started to walk towards Crystal. " You are the only chance that Rhoswen has for surviving the disasters to come.""What can I do? I'm just an ordinary 8-year-old girl." Crystal replied sadly believing that she too weak to save an entire kingdom. Nuria noticed this and went to hug and comfort Crystal. "You are special in unique ways, Crystal. Ways that are beautiful and amazing." Nuria said. Crystal looks up at her and replies "What way is that?" "You are kind and compassionate towards other people as well as animals. I have watched over you since your younger years. I even remember how you saved that baby white rabbit from being killed by that greyhound. And despite you being afraid, you stood your ground and chased the dog off. After that you nursed the poor thing back to health and found its family. You may be strong physically, but you are strong emotionally and you will do whatever it takes to do the right thing." Nuria said with such compassion and love. Crystal looked down at her feet in thought and replayed what Nuria said to her in her head. True enough, the 3 years she could walk and talk, Crystal did nothing but help those couldn't protect themselves. Crystal even realized that the people of Rhoswen are in danger and they don't even know it. After a few minutes of silence, Crystal took a deep breath and looked up at Nuria and finally gave her an answer. "I'll do it because I had promised myself that if there was anyone or anything that needed my help, I would do despite being afraid." Nuria looked at Crystal with pride and joy knowing that the chosen one had a pure heart and will always be determined to help those in need. "Thank you, Crystal. We will rest for the night and in the morning, we will begin the long trek back to Rhoswen." As Nuria turned and started to walk away, Crystal looked at her confused and said, "Wait, GoldHeart isn't coming with us?" Nuria turned towards Crystal replying "No, she must stay here and protect the forest. For if she is to leave, the barrier around the forest will weaken and leave the creatures here vulnerable to the darkness just outside. It cannot harm us, but it will harm those who live here." Nuria said with seriousness laced into her words. Crystal then understood why GoldHeart had a halo above her head and fairy wings on her back. GoldHeart was the protector of the forest and Crystal didn't question any further. So, Crystal and Nuria headed for the tree, much to Crystal's confusion, and when they reached the bottom, vines started to lower and wrap themselves around the duo. The vines pull them up to the tallest branch of the tree and wrapped them up in a vine cocoon with fireflies all around them. Crystal looked around in amazement, "It is getting late. We best sleep for the long journey ahead of us." Nuria said as she lying down to sleep. Crystal nodded as she did the same and for a few minutes thought about what was to come. 'I wonder what's going on with mom and dad? I hope that they aren't too worried. But no matter how long it may take, I will help save the people of Rhoswen from the darkness and give them a chance to live happy lives.' As soon as Crystal finished those thoughts, she closed her eyes and fell asleep unknowing to her that she said it aloud letting Nuria hear her. 'This child is truly a gift and miracle from the heavens above and I hope and pray that as she gets older, that she will always keep that compassionate and caring side of her' thought Nuria as she, too, fell asleep.

(Sorry it took so long to update this book. I had writer's block it was impossible to find inspiration for this chapter. It may take a little while to make another chapter so please bare with me. But thank you for those who do read, it means a lot that you actually like my book.
